Producer Notes

Greetings everyone,

We are pleased to announce the first stage of Publish 99 is live on TC1. Along with the first stage of Publish 99, our official forums are now open on UO.com!

We are still working on the new chat system and finalizing the Endless Journey restrictions so make sure you continue to check UO.Com for updates.  The new chat system can only be tested when Publish 99 goes to Origin, Baja, and Izumo.    We hope to have Publish 99 on all production shards by the end of March if all goes well. 

I would also like to address an issue that has come up several times related to housing.  If there is any way we can save your house I would love to be able to let you keep it.  If the house is still standing and it is not "OSI owned" you should receive the house back within an hour, if you do not then you need to contact either myself or a GM.  If you resubscribe and the house is owned by OSI you have to contact us and we have to alter the warehouse to allow you to get your house back.  We will work with you but you can not wait till the last hour before the house falls.  If you do this we can not help you to keep your house.  Once your house falls we can not return any items to you.  You can contact either support@ultimaonline.com or myself at mesanna@broadsword.com.

Speaking of housing, I am sure you have noticed several of the Human/Gargoyle plots in Ter Mur are empty on some shards.  I have placed a Raffle Stone in the plot locations, if you are interested in trying for one of these plots please visit the location and sign up.  These houses will NOT be grandfathered houses so make sure you have an account that can accept a house.  You must show up to accept the house with the account you signed up with, otherwise I will move down to the next player in line.

Publish 100 - Crushing Bugs

As we've mentioned before, our goal after Endless Journey with Publish 100 will be a bug push where we concentrate on fixing as many bugs as possible.  If you have a bug that you would especially like to see fixed please send it to us here.


Question & Answer Corner

1.    Can an adjustment be made to the new goblin store item so that we can use mounted speed while in goblin form?

Yes, the store item will be updated to allow the same speed as the in game items.

2.  Can we have decorative ship flags?

We are looking into this possibility.  Due to the fact we would want it on the mast of the ship we have to do more research for this.  If its possible we feel its a great idea for the game.

3.  Can we have more mailbox types?

Yes, new mailbox types can be added for a future publish!

4.   Can you add auction safes to vendor search?

We will look into this and if its possible we will add them to vendor seach

5.   Can you please address the use of jewelry with invisibility and teleport?

Yes, this is something that will be available in a future TC1 release of Publish 99 for testing.

6.  What is the poisoning formula for casting poison to get level 5 poison?

The forumla goes something like this, 
There is a resist check, and then if the caster's real magic and poisoning skill are GM or better there is a 1 in 10 chance to cast level 5 poison.

After that there are also penalties for casting at a distance, so the further you are away from the target (you lose 1 level of poison. You can gain some of those penalties back up to level 5 if the target is evil omened.



Customer Service

1. If you have an account that was terminated by CS over a year ago and would like to have it back please contact support here and give them the details and identify the account as yours, depending on the termination we will remove the restriction from your account so you may open it again.

2. All Sovereigns purchased from Origin have to be entered on the Account Management page.  You can not enter these in game.

3. Anyone that is trying to reopen an account please make sure you send all the information to support@ultimaonline.com so we can have a record of this.  In the original request to support if you do not know your secret word please ask for a hint.  Give them all the information to identify the account as yours so there will not be a lot of delays.

4.  Anyone that does not get their codes from Origin please follow this link to resolve the issue..

5.  If you have any in game questions or issues please either page in game or email support@ultimaonline.com.

6.  For any feedback to content put in game please send it to UO@broadsword.com.

7.  Regarding Origin orders, codes, and third party resellers.
Recently some of the player base may have noticed that an Origin store purchase they have made did not arrive or complete as expected. A confirmation or code email has not been received and you are wondering what may have occurred with your order. The Origin store enacts reviews on all transactions to safeguard against fraudulent purchases, and these reviews may take up to 72 hours. Unfortunately our Billing department is not able to expedite or circumvent this process, however players who have questions or concerns regarding a store purchase can contact Origin support for assistance using the below link:
When prompted for a product, choose Origin. Next choose your platform, and select ‘Orders’ as the topic. You can further specify your issue in the subsequent fields before speaking with an agent.
We would also like to reiterate that the Origin store is the only guaranteed provider of codes for Ultima Online. The validity of a code purchased from a third-party seller (be it a friend, in-game acquaintance, or recommended site) cannot be guaranteed. Furthermore, any codes we find to have be fraudulently obtained will be disabled and an account that applies any of these codes will have that code removed from said account. This can result in the loss of gametime, character slots, expansion access, Sovereigns (and the items purchased with them), in-game items and more. Please be advised that we cannot assist with any issues stemming from codes purchased via non-Origin means; you will be required to contact the vendor from which you purchased the code for further assistance.

To reset your password you must first understand which type of account you are resetting the password for. EA Accounts, Mythic Master Accounts, and Mythic Product Accounts all have separate individual passwords. All of which you can reset at your leisure at our Account Center at https://accounts.eamythic.com/. Unfortunately, Broadsword Support cannot assist with potential EA Account issues or passwords, please follow the steps below.
To reset your EA Account password:
     * Please visit https://signin.ea.com/p/web/resetPassword
     * At the EA.com page enter the email used to log into your EA Account to change its password.
     * If you have not received your password or have received an error while trying to reset the password and you have disabled all spam filters, please contact EA Support here, https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/#?product=origin&platform=pc

To update your credit card information, please follow these steps:
  • Login to the Account Center (https://accounts.eamythic.com) with your EA Account email and its password
  • Select the 'Subscriptions' tab
  • Locate the account you would like to update the card for
  • Select the 'Subscribe' button
  • Select the billing cycle you would like to use and continue
  • When you get to the page asking which payment method you would like to use, instead of choosing to add a card, select the 'Manage Accounts' option in the top right corner of the page. This should load a new page that will contain your previous credit card information.
  • Find the card you wish to update and select the 'X' button
  • You can now re-enter your credit card with the updated information by using the 'Add a card' button.

Publish 99 Comes to TC1 & UO.com Forums!

We are pleased to announce the first of several TC1 Publish 99 releases will be available for testing on TC1 by 2pm ET February 28, 2018.  Publish 99 is full of new features, so make sure you patch up your client and head over to TC1 to check out the latest update.  Please note that some features will not be available on TC1, check the notes for full release details.  As always, we look forward to your feedback.

Removing Stygian Abyss from the Origin Store

In preparation for the release of Endless Journey we are removing the Stygian Abyss and Stygian Abyss +30 day game time codes from the Origin Store as of 1pm ET February 6th, 2018. Stygian Abyss will be applied to all accounts for free when we publish Endless Journey this spring. While we are removing SA from the store now you can still apply codes if they are valid to use.
