NOTE: These logs are unedited and uncensored. Griefer content has NOT been removed.

King Blackthorn: Welcome governors and citizens to our sixth Council meeting.
King Blackthorn: We have a lengthy agenda for this meeting, so let's get started.
John: My wife, Governor Tanda, is resting tonight, your grace.
King Blackthorn: *nods* Thank you for telling me, John. I hope she feels better soon.
King Blackthorn: *looks at notes*
King Blackthorn: If a governor will not be able to attend a meeting of the Council,
King Blackthorn: I ask that he or she send me a pigeon at [elizabella@uoem.net] or [malachi@uoem.net].
King Blackthorn: If you would like to make a request for your town,
King Blackthorn: Send a petition by pigeon to [malachi@uoem.net] at least three days before a Council meeting.
King Blackthorn: Then be prepared to discuss your request and answer questions about it at the Council meeting.
King Blackthorn: A primer on the procedures of this council has been written.
King Blackthorn: (You can find it on greatlakes.uoem.net, click on the Royal Council link on the righthand side).
King Blackthorn: I have accepted the resignation of the governor of Vesper.
King Blackthorn: Does anyone wish to nominate themselves to be the new governor of Vesper?
King Blackthorn: *looks around* Nobody?
King Blackthorn: Very well. It will remain empty until the next election.
Miss Kitty: may we ask what lead to teh resignation?
King Blackthorn: You would need to discuss that with the former governor himself.
Miss Kitty: np
King Blackthorn: Now I invite each govenor to give a State of the Town status report,
King Blackthorn: With each governor yielding the floor to the next in line.
King Blackthorn: We will start from Moonglow this meeting. Governor Tyrell, you have the floor.
Walter Tyrell: Thank you your Majesty
Walter Tyrell: The city of Moonglow came through the invasion remarkably well.
Walter Tyrell: I want to thank the citizens from all over the land who helped turn back the invaders.
Walter Tyrell: I will plan on holding a city meeting a week from tomorrow.
Walter Tyrell: In preperation for the new elections.
Walter Tyrell: More information will be posted as details are worked out.
Walter Tyrell: That is all I have at this time.
Walter Tyrell: *looks to Willa*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Thank you Walter
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Your Majesty.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Yew pulled thru the invasion.....
Willa of the Yew-Wood: However many of it's citizens are fairly well shaken and scared.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Those living on the far side of the Bay had to relocate to the Abbey temperarily
Willa of the Yew-Wood: As the invasions kept us from being able to run all the way out there to patrol.....
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I felt it was safer for them to move to town for the time being.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: They are returning home but still rather upset.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: We have not seen much of the Slavers during this time but I also heard reports that some of them were helping the invaders.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I hope to have things getting back to routine soon.....
Max Damage: ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Willa of the Yew-Wood: And perhaps after the Elections put on a Christmas Pagent at the Theatre to help raise funds for those put out by the Invasions.
Max Damage: there lot going on yew gate fel to
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Fel is not under my jurisdiction.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Anyway that's all I had .....
Willa of the Yew-Wood: *looks to Alista*
Alista Laleyan: Is it my turn?
Miss Kitty: might as well
Willa of the Yew-Wood: yes dear.
Alista Laleyan: Very well, then.
Alista Laleyan: Thank you to everyone that helped to defend Jhelom during the recent crises.
Alista Laleyan: Because of all the other things happening in the realm the past couple of months, Jhelom has remained relatively quiet -- excepting the occasional explosion and raid.
Alista Laleyan: It was nice, really.
Alista Laleyan: I do plan to run for re-election, and if elected, plan to hold another town-hall style meeting.
Alista Laleyan: Perhaps I'll find another Jhelom Citizen out there.
Miss Kitty: hehe
Alista Laleyan: Governor Kitty, all yours.
Miss Kitty: cudos to the devs for the invasion
Miss Kitty: everyone had a blast
Miss Kitty: sad that bagballs were allowed
Max Damage: did great
Miss Kitty: but now that its in the dungeon
Miss Kitty: that will let the caos run
Miss Kitty: or how ever thats spelled
Miss Kitty: the people of NM got to experience new types of creatures
Miss Kitty: from frozen to swamp type creatures
Miss Kitty: we were a bit surprised that there were no pirates invading through the docks
Miss Kitty: while everyone rallied to fight for thier city
Miss Kitty: they were disappointed in the devs decison not to upgrade the city
Miss Kitty: back to the drawing board
Miss Kitty: all yours Dot
Dot Warner: Thank you, your Majesty. Thank you, Governor Kitty.
Dot Warner: The people of Britain are relieved that their city is no longer besieged and life has rapidly returned to normal. I thank all those who have helped preserve our way of life.
Dot Warner: Sadly, what should be a time to rejoice is marred by one of our realm's criminals...Rodrik Von Karl.
Dot Warner: Im sorry to say that this degenerate pirate and slaver has turned his focus to fomenting rebellion against the Crown.
Dot Warner: I've found his propaganda befouling the streets of our fair capitol. Something must be done about him.
Dot Warner: Fortunately, the citizens seem eager to enjoy the festivities of the upcoming holidays and I am determined to encourage that at every juncture.
Dot Warner: To that end, I shall be holding a harvest banquet at FitzOwen Green (26o 37'S 4o 38'W) this Monday the 25th at 8pm by the central stars.
Dot Warner: Gates will be provided from the First Bank of Britain.
Dot Warner: There will be plenty of food and ample opportunities to enjoy each others company and to talk about Britain's future.
Dot Warner: Anyone who wishes to attend is more than welcome.
Dot Warner: That is all I have. Thank you, your Majesty.
King Blackthorn: Thank you to all the governors for keeping me informed about your towns and cities.
King Blackthorn: Our Minister of Security, Magnus Grey, shall now speak.
Magnus Grey: Your majesty. Governors.
Magnus Grey: The most important threat to Britannia currently is the forces of Minax.
Magnus Grey: These forces have been responsible for attacks on every major city in the kingdom.
Magnus Grey: However, the Royal Guard and cities have been good about coordinating their defenses.
Magnus Grey: Every attack has been repelled, and there seems a lull in the conflict.
Magnus Grey: There are issues related to the conflict I am not at liberty to discuss,
Magnus Grey: But officially absolutely nothing is happening in the tunnels under the castle.
Magnus Grey: Nothing whatsoever.
Miss Kitty: lol
John: *chuckles*
Magnus Grey: With so much of our attention on the conflict, there have been those taking advantage.
Moonrush: all guard me
Moonrush: all guard me
Moonrush: 68SNICKERS8
Magnus Grey: There was a former agent of the Crown who tried to attack our interests,
Magnus Grey: But he and his associates have been taken care of.
Magnus Grey: We are still not sure who was financing him or for what reason.
Magnus Grey: But we are looking into the matter.
Magnus Grey: Our foreign allies and friends seem to be facing no current crises.
Magnus Grey: I can now take any questions.
Miss Kitty: is it true
Willa of the Yew-Wood: What ever happened to plans to have a consulate?
Willa of the Yew-Wood: For um..... Ter Mur
Miss Kitty: that the former gov of vesper was behind it all and that is why he is no longer here
Willa of the Yew-Wood: As I recall at one point we were to vote or think of somewhere to build one?
Magnus Grey: I will answer those questions.
Alista Laleyan: I'm curious about Governor Willa's question as well.
Magnus Grey: The former governor of Vesper has some connection to questionable third parties.
Magnus Grey: But the Royal Ministry of Security is not pushing forward criminal charges at this time.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Really?
Dot Warner: Matthias?
Walter Tyrell: *raises an eyebrow*
Miss Kitty: ah ha
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I didn't know that about O'Hare.
Alista Laleyan: He was in league with Neptune, wasn't he?
Alista Laleyan: Oh wait.
Walter Tyrell: hmm can you prove these charges?
Miss Kitty: yall are worried about a concolate
Walter Tyrell: otherwise it smacks of slander
Miss Kitty: and this council is corrupt
Magnus Grey: However, his connections to Sweet Maid Sally were not the reason for his retirement.
Dot Warner: Indeed it does.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: He had connections with Sally the Pirate?
Walter Tyrell: *frowns*
Magnus Grey: If I arrested everyone Sally tried to bribe...I would have to arrest a lot of people.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Hum.....
Dot Warner: I find that hard to believe.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I never knew that about him... He seemed so nice.
Magnus Grey: He did not remove Sally from the town's government.
Magnus Grey: Again, Sally seems very good at making herself part of an institution.
Walter Tyrell: well looks like once you leave your position as Governor you are fair game for accusations
Walter Tyrell: Magnus if you voice these charges I feel you should offer your proof
Walter Tyrell: *looks to King*
Magnus Grey: One second
Storm Chaser: hmmm
Storm Chaser: no ones talking
Magnus Grey: I withdraw anything that may have sounded like slander about the former governor.
Magnus Grey: I shall keep my own council on this for the time being.
Dot Warner: *arches a brow*
Miss Kitty: sounds like a cover up now
Miss Kitty: but moving on
Magnus Grey: *counsel
Dot Warner: This raises troubling questions about your ministry...
Walter Tyrell: You are free to your opinons I just ask for your proof.
King Blackthorn: He has withdrawn his statement. That is sufficient.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I find it shocking.
Magnus Grey: As for Ter Mur, we are still in talks on the matter. Zhah has concerns.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Scandalous even.
Walter Tyrell: *looks at King and shrugs*
Alista Laleyan: Is there anything we can do to alleviate her concerns?
Magnus Grey: (I may have misinterpreted some communication from the governor of Vesper OOC)
Magnus Grey: For Ter Mur, there is some political divide.
Magnus Grey: Zhah tends to be conservative on some matters, but hopefully the princess can change her mind.
Max Damage: why dont we take one off the unclaimed islands to the east they wont know
Alista Laleyan: *Nods* I understand.
Magnus Grey: If you think a letter for this Council would explain the advantages of such an embassy
Magnus Grey: I would be willing to pass it to the correct parties
Alista Laleyan: That sounds promising. Your Majesty? Britannia has been blessed by gifted writers...
King Blackthorn: That sounds like a good idea.
King Blackthorn: Is there anyone who would like to draft such a letter?
Max Damage: you sem to do best
King Blackthorn: If inspiration strikes someone, please leave a draft in my mailbox.
Miss Kitty: it would probably be best served if it came from the kings chair
King Blackthorn: That may be so.
King Blackthorn: We shall see.
Magnus Grey: Any other questions?
Magnus Grey: Thank you for your time.
King Blackthorn: Thank you, Minister Grey.
King Blackthorn: Now I shall respond to the State of the Towns and the National Security briefing.
King Blackthorn: I am pleased to hear that many governors participated in the recent harvest faire.
King Blackthorn: *smiles*
Max Damage: ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
King Blackthorn: Governor Tyrell, I am glad to hear that Moonglow stayed strong against the invaders.
Max Damage: was neat
King Blackthorn: Governor Willa, I am also glad to hear that Yew is safe, though
King Blackthorn: I sympathize with you on the difficulties your citizens are facing.
King Blackthorn: I too hope they can soon return to their routines and their bucolic lives.
King Blackthorn: Governor Laleyan, only the city of Valor could consider raids and explosions
King Blackthorn: relatively peaceful. *smiles fondly*
Alista Laleyan: *grins*
King Blackthorn: I am glad your citizens are safe.
King Blackthorn: Governor Kitty, it is good that your citizens looked at the invasions with an open mind,
King Blackthorn: appreciating the diverse beings you met, even though it was under adverse circumstances.
King Blackthorn: Governor Warner, I am pleased that our capital was so vigorously defended against the invaders.
Dot Warner: *nods*
King Blackthorn: Thank you for the information about Rodrik von Karl.
King Blackthorn: I hope the Britain harvest festival is a joyous occasion.
King Blackthorn: Now we turn to requests from governors.
King Blackthorn: A request and materials for an office were received from Trinsic's governor.
King Blackthorn: *looks pointedly at the empty seat*
King Blackthorn: The request has been forwarded to the builders.
King Blackthorn: A governor may only place one request per term.
King Blackthorn: I urge governors to consider their requests carefully.
King Blackthorn: Now we shall open the floor to new issues.
King Blackthorn: Governors may present any new issues first.
Miss Kitty: question about submissions
Storm Chaser: wow
King Blackthorn: Go ahead, Miss Kitty
Storm Chaser: so much fo rthe open floor
Miss Kitty: if submission is denied
Miss Kitty: can we resubmit in that turn?
King Blackthorn: Why would you re-submit it if it has been denied?
Miss Kitty: new submission i meant
Miss Kitty: since ideas were denied
King Blackthorn: If your requests have all been denied, you may submit a new request.
Miss Kitty: ok ty
King Blackthorn: If one had been granted, you could not.
King Blackthorn: Does any other governor have a new issue to raise?
King Blackthorn: We shall open the floor to citizens then.
King Blackthorn: Citizens may now present new issues, if they wish.
King Blackthorn: Please stay seated and raise your hand if you would like to be added to the list.
King Blackthorn: If there are no further issues, we shall adjourn.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I'm sorry to say
Willa of the Yew-Wood: That I have no clue what to request
Max Damage: `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Given what we have been told about things.....
Miss Kitty: good point willa
Max Damage: a banner tax would help
Moonrush: whats that?
King Blackthorn: What do you mean, Max Damage?
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I honestly have no idea what if anything could possiblly be requested that wouldn't be denied.
Max Damage: if they put a banner in game for you
Max Damage: like gv has 2
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Give me a break
Max Damage: you do a shard event a mo or loss it
King Blackthorn: I do not believe it would be feasible to tax town banners.
Max Damage: that would get ppl back here
King Blackthorn: I do not know of a mechanism for such a tax.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Not to mention it wouldn't serve their purpose.
Max Damage: there are 13 banners on luna wall
King Blackthorn: As for what you can request, Governor Willa, there is some guidance
Max Damage: 13 shard events a mo
King Blackthorn: in the primer that was published last month.
Dot Warner: A tax to use a town's trade deal would be far more helpful.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: No there isn't
Willa of the Yew-Wood: We were told what we can't request...
Max Damage: no on the town banners
Willa of the Yew-Wood: and honestly I don't think that leaves much if anything at all to request.
King Blackthorn: Max Damage, it is not possible.
Max Damage: on the south luna wall
King Blackthorn: There is an example in the primer (from Atlantic).
Miss Kitty: willa, what we ahve learned is that u can request an arcane cirlce if...
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I'm completely at a loss as to what is something that might be considered acceptable.
King Blackthorn: The (GL) primer has an example from (Atlantic) Trinsic.
Miss Kitty: you write a story line around it
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I've done that.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Denied.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Honestly I'm at a loss.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: But thank you.
King Blackthorn: The words of the primer were carefully considered and can offer you more guidance
[Com Crystal] Rodrik Von Karl says: Nice to see your Governors squabbling Blackthorn *chuckles*
King Blackthorn: than anything I say off the cuff here.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Actually they are vague
Miss Kitty: that is the only thing i can recall that might get approved other than a gov office
Willa of the Yew-Wood: And pretty much left nothing to request
King Blackthorn: (It is a new system. We are still learning the outline and parameters.)
Willa of the Yew-Wood: (I understand but having read it re-read it and read it again it leaves NOTHING to request)
King Blackthorn: Trinsic (Atlantic) is an example of a (storyline that worked)
Willa of the Yew-Wood: *sighs*
King Blackthorn: Many of the requests have been passed on to the builders.
King Blackthorn: The governors' houses that were requsted have been built.
Max Damage: got to follow the blueprint with the blueprint
King Blackthorn: Vesper's stable has been built.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: OUr Vesper never made such a request
Miss Kitty: lol
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Which it is nice...
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I don't want to complain...
Miss Kitty: maybe becasue atlantics did we got it
Willa of the Yew-Wood: However I can't do much in my office.
Max Damage: i think there killing gl
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Well..
King Blackthorn: Again, I urge you all to read the primer.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I am sad at many things
King Blackthorn: Now we shall adjourn. Goodnight.
