Magnus Grey: *slides into the chair*
Tanda: It's a big palace
Magnus Grey: *frowns*
John: Oh dear.
Magnus Grey: The King will not be joining us tonight.
Kittie: *looks to the kings chair.. grumbling about getting all dolled up for nothing.. *
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Evening Magnus. Is the King still unwell?
Tanda: *looks down the table*
Magnus Grey: Because of injuries sustained in his recent encounter with Minax,
Tanda: Hello M'lord
Magnus Grey: His ministers impressed on him the need to rest and recover.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I am seriously considering bringing him some homemade soup.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: And tending to his health.
Magnus Grey: Many of the day-to-day operations of the kingdom will fall to us.
Magnus Grey: Hopefully, this matter is not serious.
Kittie: Well, felines are well noted for taking care of wounds and ensure they heal quickly, I'm sure I could lend my services as well.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: You know I'm a healer by trade.
Dot Warner: *rolls her eyes*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I would be honored to care for my King.
Dot Warner: Down, girls.
Magnus Grey: I will pass on your well-wishes and suggestions.
Kittie: it would be not only a pleasure, but an honor as well to serve his royal highness.
Kittie: *folds her arms with a "hrmph"*
Magnus Grey: *looks at the agenda*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: My Sister makes wonderful soup which I'm sure would do wonders for his health.
Magnus Grey: Any such foods, flowers, or gifts can be left in the king's mailbox (At the Award Hall)
Kittie: *wonders if she'll fit in there?*
Magnus Grey: His ministers will get them to him, assuming they pass security.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: *smiles*
Magnus Grey: All communication with the King should be done through his Royal Secretaries.
Magnus Grey: They can be contacted by letter (emmalachi@gmail.com and emelizabella@gmail.com)
Magnus Grey: Physical objects and gifts can be delivered to the king as I mentioned before.
Magnus Grey: Please, no living creatures or persons.
Kittie: *grumbles*
Dot Warner: Ha!
Magnus Grey: *looks at the agenda again*
Tanda: *smiles*
Kittie: *mutters to herself about perhaps them not liking cats*
Magnus Grey: Now we will move on to the State of the Town portion.
Magnus Grey: I will be taking notes for the King on this matter.
Magnus Grey: But I will also give the official Royal Response later in the meeting.
Magnus Grey: Shall we start to the West with Governor Tanda?
Tanda: Certainly M'lord
Tanda: I am pleased to announce that the labor dispute
Tanda: has had some mostly favorable results
Tanda: those who had been hijacked or enslaved
Tanda: have been returned home or given legitimate employ at a fair wage
Tanda: many of those who chose to impose their will
Tanda: on them were killed
Tanda: we did find that there is a link
Tanda: to Rodrik Von Karl
Tanda: the ship off the mining camp
Tanda: upon investigation was found to have clues
Dot Warner: *frowns*
Tanda: linking this band to the extortion
Tanda: and forced labor
Kittie: *growls lowly*
Tanda: also it seems
Tanda: that the heir to the Minoc Mining Company
Tanda: is missing which may explain the odd reaction
Tanda: of his father
Tanda: when we began trying to clear up this mess
Tanda: That is all I have Sir Grey
Magnus Grey: Thank you, Governor.
Magnus Grey: Governor Warner is next I believe, as we move east.
Dot Warner: Thank you, Minister Grey.
Dot Warner: Trade has increased somewhat in Britain with the discovery of Eodon.
Dot Warner: It also may be in part due to the fact that I have forbidden Britain businesses from interacting with Rodrik Von Karl's Dark Horse Trading Company.
Dot Warner: In fact, any Britain business that engages their... *sneers* services...will be prosecuted.
Dot Warner: For those who didn't hear, two weeks ago I received another ridiculous extortion demand from Von Karl.
Dot Warner: Two-hundred and fifty thousand gold a week for "protection," lest my citizens be harmed.
Kittie: *nods*
Dot Warner: Let it be known that no law-abiding citizen will be prosecuted for defending themselves, their family, property or business from Von Karl or his thugs.
Dot Warner: In more exciting news, please remember that the invitation-only King's Cup will be held on November 14th at 2:30pm C.
Dot Warner: That is all, Minister Grey. I yield to Governor Kittie.
Kittie: Thank you Governor Dot.. Magnus.
Magnus Grey: *nods*
Magnus Grey: *writes detailed notes in terrible handwriting*
Kittie: So far Moonglow has been doing well.. aside from the fact I have received a letter as well from dearest *mockingly* Rodrik Von Karl.. saying the very same ..
Kittie: I also have received a letter from Mr. Muldoon.. stating that he has an interesting apology to give to the city this weekend.. *frowns*
Kittie: Other than this.. *mutters "and the king being ill and unable to gaze into his blue eyes... " sighs rather softly* .. Moonglow is fairing quite well.
Kittie: I now yield the floor to Governor Farimer.. thank you. *smiles and continues her doodles in her book of her and his majesty in wedding attire*
Dot Warner: *shakes her head*
Farimer Tensus: Thank you Governor Kittie
Farimer Tensus: *nods to Minister Grey*
Farimer Tensus: Skara Brae is faring well as we have been for quite some time now
Farimer Tensus: trade is strong and our Island has been well protected
Farimer Tensus: by the Jhelom Defense Force
Farimer Tensus: Trade has increased indeed because of the new lands but also because of our new reputation
Farimer Tensus: for unhindered and safe business
Farimer Tensus: This is all I have to say at this time and I yield the floor to Governor Aornis
Aornis: Thank you, Governor Tensus. Vesper is doing quite well. Her citizens are abuzz with excitement for
Aornis: the upcoming Walrus Festival.
Aornis: Planning has begun and all are looking forward to the event.
Aornis: I yield to Governor Willa
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Thank you, Governor Aornis.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I certainly wish the King well and hope he returns soon. Not that I don't like seeing you Minister Grey.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I would like to announce that the 8th Annual Samhain Festival will be held
Willa of the Yew-Wood: at the Yew-wood Forest Theatre (just south east of the Yew Moongate) at
Willa of the Yew-Wood: 8pm under the Central Stars on the 26th day of October. And I had wished to
Willa of the Yew-Wood: invite the King but if he's still ill I would be honored if the babies
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Princess Mirendel and Selke would attend the Costume contest and Trivia.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: It's always a delight to have them
Willa of the Yew-Wood: And I see they have not returned to Grandma's house...... I hope they are well.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I do so miss telling them stories.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Other than that, well there is that horrid Von Karl fellow
Willa of the Yew-Wood: who had also left me a book a bit back.... which I tossed in the nearest trash receptacle.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Yew will give no quarter to him or his ilk.
Magnus Grey: *nods*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I believe that was all I had dear.
Magnus Grey: Thank you.
Magnus Grey: I will now give a brief National Security report.
Tanda: psst
Dot Warner: *points to Governor Goldie*
Tanda: Governor Goldie
Goldie: my apologies for being late
Magnus Grey: Thank you, sorry.
John: Sir.....A late Governor slipped in.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Oh dear I forgot the lovely Goldie!
Magnus Grey: Governor Goldie
Magnus Grey: I forgot to make the full circle.
Magnus Grey: Would you like to give your report?
Goldie: For the fair town of Magincia
Goldie: all is well, we are having some open net toss
Goldie: that are proving fruitful for the citizenry
Goldie: I also look forward to the upcoming Halloween festivities
Goldie: That is all I have to report
Magnus Grey: Thank you, Governor.
Magnus Grey: Now, I guess I will give my report.
Tanda: *digs in my pocket and hands Goldie a mint*
Magnus Grey: After the final Moonstone of Vice was recovered,
Goldie: thanks...
Magnus Grey: Experts were gathered to destroy the Moonstones.
Magnus Grey: With the help of the Royal Security Ministry, they cast the ritual successfully.
Magnus Grey: The Moonstones of Vice became Moonstones of Virtue.
Magnus Grey: We are still unclear as to the origin of the original Moonstones.
Magnus Grey: The Time Lord cast his silver gate to Shadowguard,
Magnus Grey: But I am told the casting went unexpectedly due to Anon's interference.
Magnus Grey: Britannia is now connected by the Moongates to a land called Eodon.
Tanda: *nods*
Magnus Grey: The King has ordered a survey of this new land and its resources.
Magnus Grey: The survey seems to have been very successful thus far.
Magnus Grey: Several parties have returned with reports on Eodon's people, creatures, and geography.
Magnus Grey: However, it is clear from what little we know, there are dangers in Eodon.
Magnus Grey: And Minax's Shadowguard still exists.
Magnus Grey: It seems we must devote forces to security in this new world.
Magnus Grey: Sir Geoffrey has been appointed to a newly created post,
Magnus Grey: Responsible for Eodon and Shadowguard security matters.
Magnus Grey: Likely, he will call on Britannian Security forces when needed.
Magnus Grey: Other than that, the towns seem relatively safe and secure...
Magnus Grey: Except for a few strange reports of ghosts that will be looked into soon.
Magnus Grey: Thank you.
Magnus Grey: Any questions on Security?
Magnus Grey: Very well. We will move on to the official response to your reports.
Magnus Grey: Governor Tanda of Minoc,
Tanda: *nods*
Magnus Grey: Britannia is glad the labor dispute was resolved.
Magnus Grey: I have always considered slavery and kidnapping the worst sort of crimes.
Magnus Grey: So I hope the town militias do their best to bring Rodrik Von Karl to justice.
Magnus Grey: Your work in this matter is appreciated.
Goldie: Here here
Tanda: Thank you Sir
Magnus Grey: *nods and smiles*
Magnus Grey: Governor Warner of Britain,
Magnus Grey: I'm glad trade has increased due to the discovery of Eodon's bounty.
Dot Warner: *nods*
Magnus Grey: Hopefully, Britain can work with the other towns to find the best way to fairly use Eodon.
Magnus Grey: And avoid conflict with the native peoples.
Dot Warner: Hopefully we can befriend them.
Magnus Grey: That is the King's and my hope as well.
Magnus Grey: On that matter, if any ways forward present themselves, we will let you know.
Magnus Grey: Governor Kittie of Moonglow,
Magnus Grey: Rodrik's influence seems like a spreading mold.
Kittie: *nods, growling lowly*
Magnus Grey: Given the issues with such criminal groups in the past,
Magnus Grey: Hopefully, the towns can unite in a response to this brigand.
Kittie: *nods*
Magnus Grey: You may want to consider joint militia training and investigations.
Magnus Grey: I hope this other matter concerning Mr. Muldoon goes well.
Magnus Grey: Please keep us informed on how the matter turns out.
Kittie: *nods* I will.
Magnus Grey: Governor Tensus of Skara Brae,
Magnus Grey: I'm glad that peace with Jhelom has turned out so profitably.
Farimer Tensus: *nods*
Magnus Grey: I am happy to hear that those waters can be made safe for travel and trade.
Magnus Grey: Perhaps these naval practices can be spread to other trade routes.
Magnus Grey: Governor Aornis of Vesper,
Magnus Grey: I'm glad Vesper is both peaceful and happy.
Magnus Grey: Hopefully, things remain that way.
Aornis: Thank you, I hope so as well.
Magnus Grey: *nods*
Magnus Grey: Governor Willa of Yew,
Magnus Grey: We wish success to your Festival.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Thank you dear.
Magnus Grey: It sounds like it will be a fun event.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Oh always.
Magnus Grey: I will pass that message along to the dragons, but it may be past their bedtimes.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: *giggles*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: They are dears.
Magnus Grey: Sleepy dragons sometimes make poorly considered wishes.
Magnus Grey: Governor Goldie of New Magincia,
Magnus Grey: We wish you success with your open net toss and other activities.
Magnus Grey: And hope that Halloween on New Magincia is cheerful!
Goldie: *looks serious*
Goldie: Thank you sir
Magnus Grey: *smiles*
Magnus Grey: I don't see much point on commenting on my own security report.
Magnus Grey: It seems we are between crises.
Magnus Grey: Let's hope we can use this time well.
Magnus Grey: Any questions on the Royal Response?
Tanda: *shakes head*
Magnus Grey: For all Governor Requests, they now go through Lady Wraith's office
Magnus Grey: (For more information, see the PEC information on uo.com)
Magnus Grey: I'm glad so many of you have made use of her skills.
Magnus Grey: So we move on to New Issues.
Magnus Grey: Before I hope it to the floor, do any of the governors have new issues to raise?
Magnus Grey: Very well. Does anyone in the Hall have new issues to raise?
Rollo Ironsides: *crosses his arms*
Magnus Grey: *looks around*
Magnus Grey: If you have any information you wish given to the King, please speak now.
Tanda: Just a get well wish
Magnus Grey: I will pass on your well wishes.
Kittie: Please tell his highness, I wish him the best of well wishes..
Magnus Grey: If the matter does not resolve itself, I will have the Royal Ministry of Security get involved.
Magnus Grey: I will pass all of your kind words on.
Magnus Grey: If there is nothing else, I bring the Twenty Ninth meeting to a close.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Just in time
Magnus Grey: *folds up notes and slips them into his cloak*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Thank you dear.
Magnus Grey: *smiles*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Do let the King know we wish him well.
Magnus Grey: I will do that.
Kittie: *folds her arms a bit annoyingly.*
Tanda: Blessed Be Sir Grey
Magnus Grey: I think he will be most pleased with the state of things, except for Rodrik Von Karl.
Goldie: and Long Live the King
Tanda: Huzzah!
Dot Warner: We'll do our best to lop off his head.
Magnus Grey: Very good.
Dot Warner: Rodrik's, not the King's...
Magnus Grey: I assumed that.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Stick an arrow in his gullet.
Magnus Grey: *grins*
Dot Warner: *smirks*
Magnus Grey: Thank you everyone.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: *grabs the front of her dress and yanks it up*
Magnus Grey: I must go prepare my mission briefing.
Magnus Grey: Good night all.
