King Blackthorn: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: *looks through papers*
King Blackthorn: *smiles* Shall we begin?
King Blackthorn: *puts papers in order*
King Blackthorn: Welcome governors and citizens to this month's Council meeting.
Mr E: Sorry I am late I had my locations confused
King Blackthorn: *nods hello to everyone*
Kittie: *nods hello*
King Blackthorn: We have a lengthy agenda for this meeting, so let's get started.
King Blackthorn: If a governor will not be able to attend a meeting of the Council,
Kittie: *pulls her hat down slightly down towards Arminger*
King Blackthorn: Contact my secretaries (Elizabella@uoem.net and Malachi@uoem.net.)
King Blackthorn: If you would like to make a request for assistance with an event,
King Blackthorn: it should be sent to the Lady Wraith (wraithbroadsword@gmail.com).
King Blackthorn: She has a cottage with a mailbox in northwest Britain, near the North Side Inn.
King Blackthorn: I see that several governors were unable to be here tonight.
King Blackthorn: I see that several governors were unable to be here tonight.
John: *salutes the Grand Marshal*
King Blackthorn: Would anyone like to speak for one of their towns this evening?
King Blackthorn: Now I invite each governor to give a State of the Town status report,
Bentley: I have been sent by Governor Farrah on behalf of Skara, King Blackthorn
King Blackthorn: *makes a note on the papers in front of him*
Mr E: I can confirm this King Blackthorn
King Blackthorn: Very good. Bentley, please stand behind Skara Brae's chair.
Kittie: *paws at the fishing lure*
King Blackthorn: *makes a few more notes*
King Blackthorn: *looks pleased*
Bentley: Pardon me. I apologize
Kittie: Awe *frowns*
John: I think she was enjoying it.
King Blackthorn: I am quite pleased to see you, Bentley.
Kittie: Mrr-ow! *paws at it once more*
King Blackthorn: It's good when a governor sends a representative.
Mr E: Thank you King Blackthorn. Tis an honor
King Blackthorn: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Now I invite each governor to give a State of the Town status report,
King Blackthorn: With each governor yielding the floor to the next in line.
King Blackthorn: We will start from Jhelom this meeting. Governor Jameison, you have the floor.
Thom Jameison: Thankyou Your Majesty
Thom Jameison: Jhelom economy is prospering and our citizens are enjoying our safe secure city.
Thom Jameison: We hope to be increasing trade with other areas and the outlook is very good.
Thom Jameison: This is all I have to share at this time and turn the floor over to Mr. E of New Magincia
Thom Jameison: *frowns*
Mr E: Thank you Governor Jameison
Mr E: Magincia is in wonderful growth. Our trades and our coffers are up
Mr E: Magincia has a few events coming up that we hope will generate community interest.
Mr E: That is all for Magincia this evening King Blackthorn. I yield to Governor Tanda
Tanda: Thank you to the Governor of New Magincia, and Your Grace, Minoc experienced
Tanda: some interesting things over the Yuletide season
Tanda: seems Santa encountered some difficulty and was kidnapped
Maleka: I don’t think I am aligned with any
Tanda: he was recovered
Bentley: *gasp*
Tanda: and all was restored
Tanda: I've been told Majestic Oaks Auction house is readying
Tanda: and area for Governor's to use if they wish
Tanda: for events or meetings as well
Tanda: other than that the cities treasury is doing well, citizens seem content
Tanda: and quiet has resumed, I yield to Governor Warner
Dot Warner: Thank you, Governor Knighthawke. Thank you, Your Majesty.
Dot Warner: The holiday season saw a nice boost to Britain's economy, thus the merchants are quite pleased.
Dot Warner: The Royal Ankh Society reports that this has increased the citizen's generosity towards our neighbors in the hamlet of Cove.
Dot Warner: The Third Annual Trans-Britannia Derby is scheduled for January 30th at 4pm, with the start at the dock of mainland Skara Brae.
Dot Warner: As always, registration may be done through the Tribune.
Dot Warner: Please help spread the word and encourage participation.
Mr E: *nods*
Dot Warner: That is all, Your Majesty. I yield to Governor Arminger.
Norman Arminger: Thank you Governor Warner, Your Majesty
Norman Arminger: Trinsic is quiet, prosperous and secure.
Norman Arminger: Just the way the citizens prefer it.
Norman Arminger: *smiles*
Norman Arminger: With this I will gladly yield to the lovely Governor of Moonglow Miss Kittie
Norman Arminger: *grins*
Kittie: *continues batting at the fishing lure until an awkward silence is heard.. ears perk as she looks around embarrassingly and composes herself* Thank you Governor, Your Majesty..
Valeran: heh
Kittie: *ahem* Moonglow seems to be doing quite well, with the coffers nearing 300 million and citizens in full merriment. The holiday ball was a success and people seem to be continuing the spirit along. I did receive a letter from a Prof. Carrol
Kittie: in the Lycaeum about a potential issue, but nothing I'm sure the good people of these great lands can't handle. *smiles* That being said, I yield the floor to the lovely Governor of Yew, Willa. *smiles and goes back to playing*
Bentley: *shrugs*
Kittie: Oh! Apologies, to Bentley, the wonderful person whom has allowed me to have such enjoyment this evening.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Oh... well I think Sir Bentley should speak first.
Bentley: Thank you Governor Willa
Bentley: Farrah sends me your majesty to say that Skara is in a state of transition
Bentley: We have seen a rush of activity lately and Farrah is still trying to get up to speed
Bentley: However, Mr E has come and visited and Farrah will be announcing an event to raise the moral
Bentley: of the Skara people shortly. The coffers are not overflowing however we are far from a state
Bentley: of being in trouble. We hope to see the coffers over filling soon.
Bentley: I yield to Governor Willa.
Bentley: *smiles*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Thank you luv.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: The City of Yew is doing quite well not too much going on however the Warden of the Prisons did send me a notice for Governor Dot.
Dot Warner: Oh?
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Regarding the supposed prisoners who were supposed to come from Cove..
Willa of the Yew-Wood: They never arrived.
Dot Warner: *frowns*
Willa of the Yew-Wood: He has given me a letter to deliver to you in regards to your inquiry.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Does not sound good.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: I shall pass that along to you following the meeting Dot.
Dot Warner: *nods* Thank you, Willa.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Other than that I don't think I have much to report. Late in the year we are just enjoying the Wine and peaceful study at the Abbey.
Willa of the Yew-Wood: Thank you your Grace.
King Blackthorn: Thank you to all the governors for keeping me informed about your towns and cities.
King Blackthorn: Our Minister of Security, Magnus Grey, shall now address the Council.
Tanda: *nods*
Magnus Grey: Your majesty. Governors.
Mr E: *tips cap*
Magnus Grey: Many of the issues of the last year were solved.
Kittie: *continues pawing, nodding hello*
Magnus Grey: Since there are no immediate threats to the Kingdom,
Magnus Grey: I have decided to give a brief summary of the larger security situation.
Magnus Grey: Trammel remains stable and under the control of your majesty.
Tanda: *smiles*
Magnus Grey: Local crime and strife is at a low because of governor oversight. Hopefully this will continue.
Magnus Grey: Relations with Nujel’m remain neutral, but informal.
Magnus Grey: Relations with the Heartwood are strong.
Magnus Grey: The elves have asked for our help with a matter in the near future.
Magnus Grey: While there are always minor issues with the orcs, there have been no large conflicts in years.
Magnus Grey: While Trammel has numerous other groups and factions, none are currently an active threat.
Magnus Grey: Ilshenar remains barely colonized by humanity.
Magnus Grey: After the exodus from Ver Lor Reg, there have no further efforts by the gargoyles either.
Magnus Grey: The Meer and Juka remain the strongest powers in the area.
Magnus Grey: Both groups have focused mainly on internal matters recently.
Kittie: *smiles brightly*
Magnus Grey: The ruins of Exodus remain a dangerous area.
Magnus Grey: Tokuno remains under the control and rule of the Empress.
Magnus Grey: We have strong official relations with Tokuno.
Magnus Grey: There are always mattes of internal intrigue,
Magnus Grey: Though they usually do not involve Britannia.
Magnus Grey: Minax has some agents on that facet, but those under Travesty do not present a threat.
Magnus Grey: Felucca remains in conflict.
Magnus Grey: Dupre is the unofficial leader of Britannian forces and our eyes there.
Magnus Grey: Beyond that, it is difficult to detail the chaos there.
Magnus Grey: Most remain loyal only to their own interests.
Magnus Grey: Ter Mur remains under the control and rule of Queen Zhah.
Magnus Grey: We have strong official relations with Tokuno.
Magnus Grey: We have strong official relations with Ter Mur.
Magnus Grey: Princess Rhista, next in line, is a close friend to Britannia.
Magnus Grey: The Ver Lor Reg refugees and Void Plague remain sources of uncertainty there.
Magnus Grey: Eodon’s tribes remain aggressive and distrusting toward Britannian visitors.
Magnus Grey: There have also been problems caused dubious elements from Sosaria.
Magnus Grey: Sir Geoffrey is keeping track of the security situation there.
Magnus Grey: He will certainly need our aid in the future.
Magnus Grey: That covers most of the lands and parties that currently affect our security.
Magnus Grey: Any questions?
King Blackthorn: My thanks to Minister Grey.
Magnus Grey: Thank you for your time.
King Blackthorn: Now I shall respond to the State of the Towns.
King Blackthorn: Governor Jameison, I am pleased that my city of Valor is prospering.
King Blackthorn: I wish you luck with your efforts to increase trade.
King Blackthorn: Governor E, it is good to hear that New Magincia is doing so well.
King Blackthorn: I wish the island well with its upcoming events. *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Governor Knighthawke, how awful it would have been to lose jolly old Santa,
King Blackthorn: he who brings presents to good little boys and girls in celebration of
King Blackthorn: Walrus Festival. How fortunate that the people of Minoc were able to rescue him!
King Blackthorn: Also, it is very nice of Majestic Oaks to offer assistance to governors.
King Blackthorn: Governor Warner, I am pleased that my capital city has shown compassion to
King Blackthorn: the citizens of Cove. Very admirable.
King Blackthorn: I wish the participants in the Derby luck.
Dot Warner: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Governor Arminger, it is good to hear that my city of paladins is peaceful.
King Blackthorn: I hope things continue well there. *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Governor Kittie, Moonglow's holiday soiree sounds enchanting.
Kittie: *quickly looks over, with the lure in her mouth like that of a caught prey, bright eyes trying to keep attention, smiling*
King Blackthorn: *looks quickly at his notes*
King Blackthorn: Please update us next month with any developments at the Lycaeum.
Kittie: *nods*
King Blackthorn: Fisherman Bentley, I wish to again thank you for representing Skara Brae this evening.
King Blackthorn: I hope that the event succeeds in raising morale.
Bentley: *jots down the Kings words to take to Governor Farrah*
King Blackthorn: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Governor Willa, that is disturbing news about the missing prisoners.
King Blackthorn: I hope that they are found soon.
King Blackthorn: I am glad that all else is well in Yew.
King Blackthorn: Now we turn to requests from governors.
King Blackthorn: There weren't any this month, except those ably handled by the Lady Wraith. My thanks to her.
King Blackthorn: Now we shall open the floor to new issues.
King Blackthorn: Governors may present any new issues first.
King Blackthorn: Now citizens may present new issues.
King Blackthorn: Are there any other new issues to be addressed this evening?
King Blackthorn: If there are no further issues, we shall adjourn.
King Blackthorn: Thank you to all the governors present, and Bentley, for a very productive Council meeting.
Logan: *pondering on turning the lure to catnip*
Tanda: Blessed Be Your Grace
King Blackthorn: My thanks as well to all the citizens who had the civic spirit to attend.
Mr E: Strength and Honor
John: Strength and honor.
King Blackthorn: Now we shall adjourn. Goodnight.
