King Blackthorn: Welcome governors and citizens to this month's Council meeting.
Eep Eep: *grunts unhappily*
King Blackthorn: *nods hello to everyone*
King Blackthorn: We have a lengthy agenda for this meeting, so let's get started.
Tanda: Hello Your Grace
King Blackthorn: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: If a governor will not be able to attend a meeting of the Council,
King Blackthorn: Contact my secretaries (Elizabella@uoem.net and Malachi@uoem.net.)
King Blackthorn: Governor Kittie has notified me that due to storms afflicting Moonglow, she is unable to attend tonight.
King Blackthorn: The governor of Yew was also unable to be here tonight
King Blackthorn: Would anyone like to speak for one of their towns this evening?
King Blackthorn: If you would like to make a request for assistance with an event,
King Blackthorn: it should be sent to Lord Raine (UORaine@gmail.com).
King Blackthorn: He has a cottage with a mailbox in northwest Britain, near the North Side Inn.
King Blackthorn: Now I invite each governor to give a State of the Town status report,
King Blackthorn: With each governor yielding the floor to the next in line. the floor to the next in line.
King Blackthorn: We will start from Jhelom this meeting. Governor Farrah, you have the floor.
Farrah: Thank you, your grace *nods*
Farrah: Jhelom has many struggles to overcome...
Farrah: It's come to my attention that with the last Governors absence, many political figureheads have become corrupt
Farrah: It is my goal to bring peace once again to Jhelom with the help of my fellow Governors
You must wait to perform another action.
Farrah: The elections have given hope to many citizens
Farrah: Their spirits have lifted, yet the work to do is still great. We need provisions, while many repairs are done to the city.
Farrah: Many buildings, shops and homes have been left vacant and wore
Farrah: With time, and hard work I have no doubt that things in Jhelom will be happy and thriving once again
Farrah: That is all I have, with that I yield the floor to Governor Goldie
Goldie: Thank you Governor Farah
Goldie: Your Grace all is well in Magincia so far.
Goldie: My seat was uncontested this recent election.
Goldie: We did finally have a net toss to celebrate and bring together the community
Goldie: I have been planning an upcoming event and should have more details with our next meeting.
Goldie: With that I yield the floor to Governor Nighthawk
Tanda: Thank you Governor Goldie, Your Grace
Tanda: First I would like to acknowledge I do have a Governor's request pending, I would prefer
Tanda: when we get to that a simple yes or no with not details
Tanda: if that's possible
Tanda: This Wednesday
Tanda: at 8 CST
Tanda: I'm summoning as many as I can recruit to Minoc bank
Tanda: to investigate this maddening noise
Tanda: a few of us are hearing
Tanda: a chronic ticking
Tanda: which oddly seems loud enough to be heard in my castle
Dot Warner: Hmmm
Tanda: or it's all in my mind
Tanda: but it is definitely louder near the tinkers in town
Tanda: The trade in town remains brisk
Tanda: even with a few outbursts of those afflicted by whatever this is
Tanda: running about ranting through the streets
Tanda: I yield the floor to Governor Warner
Dot Warner: Thank you, Governor Knighthawke. Thank you, Your Majesty.
Dot Warner: Britain's coffers are full, her people happy and content.
Dot Warner: The Gold Tome of the Virtues was recovered from the "Dark Unborn," though we found it'd been corrupted by dark magicks.
Dot Warner: Expert opinion believes that the Tome was used as a focus to directly attack the Virtues themselves, somehow managing to subvert key moments in history which reinforced our shared understanding of them.
Dot Warner: The corrupting influence is most noticeable in the Chamber of Virtue in Britain. *frowns*
Dot Warner: Unfortunately, there is yet to be a consensus regarding how to safely purify the corruption, without untethering ourselves, or our world, to the Virtues.
Dot Warner: That is all for Britain. Thank you, Your Majesty. I yield to Governor Conner.
Conner: thank you thank you
Conner: Trinsic has been fairly quit these past weeks
Conner: life has been going smoothly and all citizens are prospering
Conner: as of right now nothing more to relay
Conner: I concede to Destinie moon
Destinie Moon: Good evening your Grace.
Destinie Moon: Thank you Conner
Destinie Moon: Thank you for having confidence in electing me also.
Destinie Moon: My first two priorities are filling the treasury and dealing with the
Destinie Moon: The treasury was in a poor state, but we've already increased it about
Destinie Moon: one quarter over where it was
Destinie Moon: All citizens of Skara and friends of Skara are encouraged to do trade missions
Destinie Moon: I will be working on putting together a collection of items
Destinie Moon: from my collection for auction to raise money for the treasury.
Destinie Moon: Regarding the trade deal, I've put out a ballot box to figure out if
Destinie Moon: people want a new trade deal or to keep the old one.
Destinie Moon: We'll see how that goes. I look forward to Helping assure Skara Brae's Future,
Destinie Moon: That is all I have for the moment. Thank you, My Grace
Qualark Ventes: *sets down a bottle of liquor*
Destinie Moon: I Yield the floor to Qualark
Qualark Ventes: I thank the people of Vesper for their confidence and re-electing me.
Qualark Ventes: And I congratulate our two new governors on their election as well as whatever debacle
Qualark Ventes: happened in Jhelom to result in Farrah becoming governor there.
Qualark Ventes: I am still putting together a team to investigate our old governor/dog's disappearance.
Qualark Ventes: As far as new business,
Qualark Ventes: I will once again hold a city meeting to discuss the people's needs and desired trade deal.
Qualark Ventes: With that, I yield the floor back to you, your majesty
King Blackthorn: Thank you to all the governors for keeping me informed about your towns and cities.
King Blackthorn: Sir Sentri shall now address the Council.
Sentri: Your majesty. Governors.
Sentri: I bring word from Papua. The settlement holds for now.
Sentri: The new magical defenses have stopped the Terathan raids.
Sentri: The Terathans are currently focused on the Ophidian forces.
Sentri: We believe the critical battle of their conflict will happen soon.
Sentri: At this point, we cannot say which side will win.
Sentri: Or how seriously this will affect the balance of power there.
Sentri: Whatever happens will likely impact Papua and our other holdings in the Lost Lands.
Sentri: I will report more as I have it.
Sentri: Any questions?
Sentri: Thank you for your time.
King Blackthorn: Thank you, Sir Sentri
King Blackthorn: Now I shall respond to the State of the Towns.
King Blackthorn: Governor Farrah, it is distressing to hear of corruption in my city of Valor.
King Blackthorn: I hope that you are able to find and deal with the causes,
King Blackthorn: while, of course, respecting the rights of the innocent.
King Blackthorn: Many towns and governors have shown their generosity over the years,
King Blackthorn: and I'm sure those who are able to will respond to Jhelom's request for assistance.
King Blackthorn: Governor Goldie, I am pleased that all is well in my city of shepherds.
King Blackthorn: The net toss sounds very exciting and a good way to build community.
Goldie: :)
King Blackthorn: Governor Knighthawke, it is good that trade is brisk for the tinkers.
King Blackthorn: I wish you luck with your investigation.
King Blackthorn: I can't address all the issues right at this moment. I shall contact Lord Raine.
Tanda: *nods*
King Blackthorn: Governor Warner, it is good to hear that the Gold tome was restored to its rightful place.
King Blackthorn: I'm sure that your wisdom will be sufficient to defeat the corrupting influence in the Chamber.
King Blackthorn: Governor Conner, welcome to the Royal Council.
King Blackthorn: I am pleased that all is tranquil in my city of Honor.
Conner: *bows*
King Blackthorn: Governor Moon, welcome as well to the Royal Council.
Destinie Moon: Thank you My Grace
King Blackthorn: It sounds like my city of Rangers has some challenges ahead of it,
King Blackthorn: but is working together to meet the difficulties and build Skara Brae's future.
King Blackthorn: Governor Ventes, I am sorry to hear that Governor Emeritus Skattles is still missing.
King Blackthorn: I do hope the dear little doggie-- er, I mean fellow-- can be found soon.
King Blackthorn: A town meeting is a good idea. I wish you luck with it.
King Blackthorn: Now we shall open the floor to new issues.
You must wait to perform another action.
King Blackthorn: Governors may present any new issues now.
King Blackthorn: Now citizens may present any new issues.
Qualark Ventes: *looks to Georgia*
Goldie: I am just here to support Jhelom
Qualark Ventes: I have a question.
Georgia: *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Go ahead with your question, Governor Ventes
Qualark Ventes: *leans over and looks down at Farrah*
Qualark Ventes: I do not follow Jhelom politics that closely, but..
Qualark Ventes: I don't believe you were running for election there?
Qualark Ventes: Was there a coup?
King Blackthorn: The Crown recognizes formal name changes.
Farrah: *Nods*
King Blackthorn: I am not certain of this, but I know with some house signs, if you touched them after a name change
Qualark Ventes: Are you a different Farrah then?
King Blackthorn: The house sign would change.
King Blackthorn: It may be the same with the governor stone, I am not sure.
Qualark Ventes: Just seeking clarity. There was a former governor Farrah of Skara Brae
Qualark Ventes: who was also running there.
Qualark Ventes: Forgive me if I'm skeptical of all this.
King Blackthorn: The Jhelom chair recognized her.
Qualark Ventes: Very well.
Qualark Ventes: *shrugs*
Qualark Ventes: The chair knows all and sees all.
King Blackthorn: The Governors' chairs do have a magic all their own. *smiles*
King Blackthorn: Usually that found in crowns and magic swords.
King Blackthorn: Are there any other new issues?
King Blackthorn: If there are no further issues, we shall adjourn.
Farrah: Thank you, your grace
King Blackthorn: Thank you to all the governors for a very productive Council meeting.
Qualark Ventes: *looks over shoulder*
King Blackthorn: My thanks as well to all the citizens who had the civic spirit to attend.
Farrah: *nods*
Qualark Ventes: Where has that goblin gone off to?
King Blackthorn: Now we shall adjourn. Goodnight.
