Thanatos Angelos hails from another shard, from the country Hellas. His people are a war-like people, and Thanatos is a warrior by training. His people, the Hellenes, fight for their own honor, pride, and glory. But Thanatos was educated in their best schools and has denounced their meaningless warmongering ways as foolish. He considers their egocentric lifestyle to be worthless. He has left his lands, and has since been wandering the shards, perfecting his skill in combat.

He has devoted his life to defending the helpless by any means necessary. Thanatos recently has been training in Zento under the samurai, and also in Umbra as a necromancer: considering it an amusing irony to animate the corpses of his enemies to fight for him.

Soon after arriving on this shard, Thanatos met Galen while fighting monsters near Humility shrine, and has stuck with him ever since.
