Log of the 428th Session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Welcome to the 428th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: The kingdom remains largely peace. Only a small incident in Skara Brae has disrupted our lengthy calm, but more on that in a bit.
DaKaren: Our cosmic neighbor, and ally, Ter Mur, has been suffering strife amongst it's peoples for several weeks now.
DaKaren: Certain segments of our government have been attempting to aid Queen Zhah and her daughter, Princess Rhista, to varying degrees of success.
DaKaren: Intelligence reports indicate that the disturbances appear to be centered around a separatist group called 'Singularity;' however, they may be being manipulated by heretofore unknown agents.
DaKaren: Since this Singularity group sees King Blackthorn as a False Prophet, I ask that all B.A.F. members keep an eye out for suspicious activities in and near the capital - specifically around Castle Blackthorn.
DaKaren: I believe it is in the Kingdom's best interests to keep the years of playing musical sovereigns firmly in the past.
DaKaren: At any rate, let us help confine Ter Mur's troubles to their borders.
DaKaren: In lighter news, Jhelom's Tournament of Valor this past weekend enjoyed much success amongst the people.
DaKaren: Since Governor Laleyan is not with us this eve, I am happy to announce the tournament results.
DaKaren: First Place was awarded to the combatant who went undefeated throughout the entire Tournament, one Holy Moses of Unity of the Damned.
DaKaren: Second Place went to young Leif of the Yew Militia.
DaKaren: Third Place went to NightStriker of Rehab is for Quitters.
DaKaren: Congratulations to all those who placed and to all those who fought bravely in the Tournament!
DaKaren: Lord Servious, since Grand Marshal Polynikes is unable to be with us tonight, would you please fill in the Council on the incident in Skara Brae?
Servious: Hello everybody
Servious: I would like to report on the events that happened recently
Servious: It all started when I received a mysterious pigeon message
Servious: reporting of a suspicious individual unloading strange glowing crates
Servious: from his ship onto the south Skara Brae Docks
Servious: The captain of the ship was named Locke and he claimed to be working for the Vesper Shipping Co
Servious: Judging by how uneasy the crew acted I knew something was not right.
Servious: I promptly went to the main dock to get the assistance of the Port Authority.
Servious: Upon further inspection we found false documentation and illegal weapons
Servious: hidden inside locked containers
Servious: The weapons seemed to be heading for the port of Trinsic and Jhelom
Servious: according to the paperwork that the caption had provided
Servious: When I had discovered the hidden cargo
Servious: the crew of the rogue vessel attacked me
Servious: After a quick battle I captured the ship and detained the smuggler captain
Servious: He still tried to maintain his innocence
Neptune: any idea where this ship was going ?
Servious: Jhelom seems to be their next stop
Neptune: *frown's*
Servious: We have jailed the Captain and seized his ship
Servious: for further investigation
DaKaren: interesting.
DaKaren: Was this ship part of Rodrick's group?
Servious: It was most strange how the crew was acting before they attacked me
Servious: Im not sure if they were part of Rodrick's crew
Servious: but I hope it’s not something bigger that we currently know about
DaKaren: Agreed.
DaKaren: Any questions for Lord Servious?
Servious: If they are growing in numbers we may have a sticky situation on our hands in the future
DaKaren: Please keep the Council apprised if you could.
DaKaren: Especially Councilor Neptune.
Servious: I certainly will
Earlhad Todie: Lord Servious
Servious: Yes?
Neptune: *look's over*
Earlhad Todie: how are your coffers to pay for any munitions needed in the future?
pabII: *listens intently*
Servious: this kind of information I’m not privy to but they seem to be up to par at the moment
Neptune: full enuff
Servious: *looks around*
Earlhad Todie: good to hear, let me know in the future
Servious: I will
DaKaren: Any other questions?
Earlhad Todie: I can help organize an event to gain more donations if needed
Servious: That is most generous
Neptune: I would suggest that you also keep DaKaren an poly informed as well
DaKaren: More events are always welcome, Minister.
DaKaren: *nods*
Servious: They will be the first to know if any more information arises
Neptune: that way there is no miscommunication
Servious: *nods*
Neptune: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Lord Servious.
Servious: my pleasure
DaKaren: Councilor PabII, does the City of Yew have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
pabII: Yew is still enjoying the quiet
pabII: it is a good reprieve but the people are still on guard for the pirates
DaKaren: *nods*
pabII: it would be perfect if not for the cold weather
Farimer Tensus: *nods*
pabII: thank you
Dot Warner: Hear hear.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
Max von Bayer: The Winter has come
DaKaren: Councilor Neptune, does the City of Skara Brae have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Neptune: well due to the recent events
Neptune: I have ordered the Skara Fishing Fleet to inspect every ship coming in and out of Jhelom
DaKaren: *sighs*
Neptune: I have also put in a contract with the Empress
Neptune: to purchase some Zento ships to upgrade the fishing fleet so they can protect themselves
Neptune: and increase there fishing productivity
Neptune: if weapons are being smuggled
Neptune: it's for only one reason
Neptune: and we need to find out where they’re going
Neptune: and soon
Neptune: I will make sure you are informed on the going's on
Servious: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
Neptune: *nod's*
DaKaren: Councilor Kivlov, does the Township of Newcastle have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Guntur Kivlov: Newcastle fared well since the last meetings.
Guntur Kivlov: Meeting*
Guntur Kivlov: I for one am enjoying this cold spell.
Guntur Kivlov: We have seen a few visitors arrive recently, and possibly new citizens
DaKaren: Grand
Guntur Kivlov: Aye.
Guntur Kivlov: I will say out sheriff has been growing anxious.
Guntur Kivlov: Some of his reports lead me to believe he is throwing arrows at shadows...
DaKaren: *arches a brow*
Guntur Kivlov: We are all still waiting for the next attack. so we will remain vigilant.
Guntur Kivlov: For now however, I believe it's just nerves.
Guntur Kivlov: That is all I have Chancellor.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
Guntur Kivlov: *nods*
DaKaren: Councilor Warner, does the City of Britain have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Dot Warner: Britain continues to fare well, barring any insane attempts at regicide by rogue gargoyles.
Dot Warner: The people have been a tad disgruntled, but that seems to be about the lingering snow.
Dot Warner: Since its not within a governor's power to change the weather, they'll regrettably have to suffer until the spring thaw. *sighs*
Dot Warner: But...since I want my citizens as gruntled as possible, I plan to host a trivia contest the late in the week of March 3rd.
Dot Warner: That its the beginning of the election cycle I hope is not lost on them. *smirks*
Dot Warner: Look for an announcement on the Tribune the end of this month.
Dot Warner: That is all. Thank you.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Knighthawke, does the city of Minoc have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Tanda: Let's see
Tanda: Minoc is holding its own, the Grotto underwent a bit of a make over
Tanda: I am thinking long and hard as to if I wish to continue as Justicar
Tanda: in the next election
Tanda: other than that all is well
DaKaren: We would miss your sage advice should you not run again.
Tanda: *laughs*
Max von Bayer: *sighs*
Tanda: baste me in butter
Tanda: and I'd be a turkey
Max von Bayer: that would make me one seat away from the center chair again
Earlhad Todie: yum butter
Max von Bayer: I do not want to be that close
DaKaren: You could be a giant mutant turkey...
Tanda: *giggles*
DaKaren: At any rate, thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Minister Hla-ate, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Tanda: *nods*
Malag aste: *sighs*
Malag aste: Well... I was planning a walk to compassion soon however that will have to be postponed until.. well things settle at home some.
Malag aste: I suppose I should let you all know .... I'm going to be a father again soon.
Malag aste: So my home is ..... well busy of late.
Malag aste: I met my in-laws for the first time.
Malag aste: They are living at the Inn.
Guntur Kivlov: Congratulations!
DaKaren: Congratulations!
Malag aste: Thank you.
Earlhad Todie: indeed best wishes
Dot Warner: The pitter patter of little Hla-ate feet?
Malag aste: At any rate that will keep me occupied for awhile.
Malag aste: Yes... I'm told we'll be having a son.
Malag aste: Severn seems most pleased.
pabII: congratulations on the baby and good luck on the in-laws....hehe
Malag aste: I'm not sure exactly what to make of them yet.
DaKaren: Your in-laws?
Malag aste: But at least they weren't offended by my not eating the cookies they brought.
Martyna Z'muir: Just try not to shoot them, Malag...
Malag aste: Well.... I rather expected them to be Human....
DaKaren: What are they?
Malag aste: Oddly enough they are elven..... though of course not dark elves.
pabII: they are probably feeling the same about you Malag
DaKaren: Ah.
Malag aste: I knew Severn was adopted.
Malag aste: I just figured they were human.
Malag aste: So will be getting to know the in-laws...
Malag aste: That should be interesting...
pabII: elves are not prejudice
Martyna Z'muir: Heh.
Malag aste: But it's keeping me quite busy with constant patrols and such...
Martyna Z'muir: They can be.
John: *glances over, sighs, then returns to his normal posture*
Malag aste: Had to get ready for the baby...
Malag aste: Oh.... and I learned I'm an Uncle again......
Malag aste: Wasn't aware that Xunroos had a child with Lady Charlotte but ... now I am.
Malag aste: Rather concerning.
pabII: yes it is concerning
Malag aste: He seems very .... deeply concerned for her safety.
DaKaren: Due to his being a daemon?
pabII: Charlitts daughter is his???
Malag aste: Yes and with The Rylna I guess I don't blame him.
Malag aste: Yes.
pabII: she didn’t let on though
pabII: the child is almost grown
Malag aste: Apparently not
Malag aste: Since he didn't know either until recently
Malag aste: Now I have that to worry about as well.
Malag aste: So In-Laws, Baby and demon spawn.....
pabII: have you or hr told Charlotte of the danger
Malag aste: The Rylna......
Malag aste: He did.
Malag aste: Talked to his daughter as well but I must say he's quite concerned.
Malag aste: Anyway... *sighs*
Malag aste: I will let you know when things are..... calmer
DaKaren: *nods*
Malag aste: And I can plan a good walk
DaKaren: We look forward to it.
DaKaren: Thank you, Minister.
DaKaren: Minister Todie, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Earlhad Todie: Nothing significant
Earlhad Todie: the economy seems to be stable this past couple months
DaKaren: That is always good.
Earlhad Todie: There has been some chatter from merchant and land owners in Luna
Earlhad Todie: with fears of a global unionization of vendors advertising
Tanda: *stares at the back of the chamber*
Earlhad Todie: throughout the entire globe and not just the popular hubs
pabII: *raises a brow*
Earlhad Todie: I believe the competition will benefit all in the end
pabII: it may bring some prices down
Malag aste: *looks to Orion*
Malag aste: Winged one..... do please sheath that weapon
Earlhad Todie: some prices do need correcting and it will be good for the economy
DaKaren: *nods*
Malag aste: I will not repeat myself....
Malag aste: Sheath that weapon.
DaKaren: Thank you, Minister.
Malag aste: You there.
Earlhad Todie: *nods*
Malag aste: *points the gargoyle*
Orion: where have you hidden that low life Dorian Magnus you can’t hide him forever we will find him
Orion: head these words I will find him and the resurrection scroll then you will all bow down
Orion: before the true lord of this land
DaKaren: *arches a brow*
Orion: I shall return
Orion: Kal Ort Por
Earlhad Todie: oh my
DaKaren: Random...
Guntur Kivlov: *sighs*
John: I know you're there.
John: Come out.
John: There is a stealther around this area someplace.
John: Came in with the gargoyle.
Farimer Tensus: They were at this bench
John: He's back here someplace.
Malag aste: Who the hell is Dorian Magnus?
Servious: Wis Quas
John: Within a few feet.
pabII: I have no clue who he was talking about
Neptune: seems someone who wants to make a name for himself
Farimer Tensus: regardless it was with violent intention
Malag aste: Indeed.
Farimer Tensus: He's here
Malag aste: Servious.
DaKaren: Well, that was... odd. But let us continue.
pabII: who was he looking for again?
Tanda: Dorian Magnus
Farimer Tensus: I smell his filthy wings
pabII: never heard of him
Malag aste: Please at the earliest convenience report that to Lord Polynikes.
Tanda: whom I have never heard of
DaKaren: Not a name I am familiar with.
Martyna Z'muir: Filthy wings?
pabII: yes the Marshall needs to be apprised of this
Farimer Tensus: aye Orion
Farimer Tensus: he returned briefly to the steps of this great house
Earlhad Todie: It’s a sign the council is working in the right direction if some have to spy in the meetings
pabII: aye
Dot Warner: *laughs*
Dot Warner: Threats are good now?
Servious: yes sir
Malag aste: Perhaps if I had some clue who Dorian Magnus was...
Martyna Z'muir: He could just be unhinged.
Servious: or drunk
Servious: *chuckles*
Martyna Z'muir: That too.
Malag aste: I think you can stand down now John.
DaKaren: We shall not fall prey to paranoia.
John: I think otherwise.
Malag aste: Not very keen on you having that sword pointed at my backside.
Tanda: Not likely to happen until I am home
DaKaren: *sighs*
DaKaren: We are moving on. The B.A.F. will add this to the list of things to investigate.
DaKaren: High Justicar Knighthawke, does the High Court have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Tanda: not this evening, but seems quite possible soon
Tanda: that will change
Malag aste: Don't really trust gargoyles with the goings on in Ter Mur right now anyway.
DaKaren: *looks at Minister Hla-ate*
Max von Bayer: Many have said the same about the drow in the past
DaKaren: Please keep the racist comments out of the Council chambers.
pabII: this is true
John: *a barely stifled chuckle comes through the vigilance*
Malag aste: Well just saying can't be too careful.
Malag aste: As for Drow you should continue to be concerned.
DaKaren: Keep thoughts like those to yourself.
DaKaren: Perhaps that walk to Compassion should be undertaken, regardless of your family issues.
DaKaren: Justicar von Bayer, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Malag aste: *looks at DaKaren*
Earlhad Todie: did Sir Otto leave us to dispatch the troll?
Max von Bayer: I have upheld the warrant issued by the Grand Marshal per Article VII Section I Subsection 1
Malag aste: No idea.
Max von Bayer: for the arrest of the captain of the BMV Tiderunner
Max von Bayer: as well as the ship being impounded
Servious: *nods*
Max von Bayer: However, I was unable to list a name for the warrant
Max von Bayer: the documentation passed to me by the Grand Marshal indicates the shipping registration
Max von Bayer: states the captain's name as Eric Flannigan
Max von Bayer: but Servious overheard the crew referring to him as Locke
Max von Bayer: As soon as his identity is determined, I will place it formally in the warrant
Max von Bayer: That is all
DaKaren: Thank you, Justicars.
DaKaren: Candidates for the upcoming election should turn in books to Minister Hla-ate's office at the consulate in Luna,
DaKaren: by the 20th of next week.
Malag aste: Don't forget you can get to my office there by way of teleporter here
DaKaren: There will be a two-part debate next Monday the 17th, first for the candidates for Chancellor and then one for candidates for Justicar.
Malag aste: And I do have a private mailbox up by my office on the third floor.
DaKaren: The debates will start at 8pm in these chambers.
Malag aste: Just take the center teleporter.
DaKaren: Do any of the citizenry have anything to bring before the High Council this eve?
DaKaren: Anyone?
DaKaren: Nay? Very well then...
DaKaren: I hereby adjourn the 428th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Go with the Virtues.

Re: Log of the High Council Meeting on 2/10/14
Citizens of Britannia,
I apologize if my comments were construed as racist. Was not my intent that they be as such. I have nothing against gargoyles, or the gargish race in general. I merely wanted to convey my concerns over the current status of relations in Ter Mur and that one needs to extra cautious in regards to people being armed in the High Council chambers.
As for my statements regarding my own race of Ilythiiri, well those are personal. My duty is to the Kingdom first. I am a Knight, and ever shall I be. My duty is to protect and uphold the laws of the land and keep its citizens safe. I bristle at the sight of weapons drawn within the chambers of the High Council. The only ones who should bear arms inside the chambers are Guards appointed by the Council and the Britannian Armed Forces.
Again, I humbly apologize if my remarks seemed racist in nature that was not their intent. The intent was to keep the council members safe from all threats.
Sincerely,
Malag’aste Hla’ate, Minster of Virtue
