Log of the 445th Session of the High Council of Britannia.

DaKaren: Welcome to the 445th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Several weeks ago, Lord British returned to our realm.
DaKaren: No, he isn't staying. No, he is no longer our king...nor shall he be again.
DaKaren: This was just a visit...which went awry, as is oft to happen in Britannia.
DaKaren: Apparently, Minax has gained access to Trammel and has somehow turned Anon, the ex-Mage-Lord of the Council of Mages, to her side. *shakes head sadly*
DaKaren: What this means for the future is anyone's guess, but magical mayhem likely.
DaKaren: Continuing the trend of bad news... Skara Brae is having a slight ghost problem.
DaKaren: It appears that the Moonshade Crown has been used to create a lich-like being who has designs on the Well of Souls on Iver's Rounding. *sighs*
DaKaren: Theoretically, the Well can be used to 'feast on the power and knowledge of the dead,' which, I think we can all agree, is a Bad Thing.
DaKaren: Since Samhain rapidly approaches, I think the matter should be...resolved...with all due haste.
DaKaren: Those who have passed beyond the Veil should be left in peace.
DaKaren: Grand Marshal Polynikes, would you please brief the Council on military matters in the Kingdom?
Polynikes of Yew: Good evening Chancellor and Council members.
Polynikes of Yew: *applauds*
Polynikes of Yew: Things have been relatively quiet.
Polynikes of Yew: Traders have been reporting attacks on the roads.
Polynikes of Yew: So I am suggesting a travelers advisory at this time
Polynikes of Yew: If you are a trader and are not proficient in defending yourself I suggest
Polynikes of Yew: you hire a guard.
Polynikes of Yew: That is all I have to report at this time.
DaKaren: Thank you, Grand Marshal.
DaKaren: Councilor Aegnor, does the city of Moonglow have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Silrien Aegnor: Moonglow has been quiet
Silrien Aegnor: Our next Town Hall meeting will be on Saturday the 18th of this month at 6pm (cdt).
Silrien Aegnor: That is all I have.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Warner, does the City of Britain have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Dot Warner: *nods* Aye.
Dot Warner: Britain fares extremely well, in fact I dare say we are awash in an embarrassment of riches.
Dot Warner: The citizens have taken to running trade deals like an addiction, nearly a thousand have been completed.
Dot Warner: The Cove situation hasn't changed, to my knowledge.
Dot Warner: Britain is still sending aid via the Red Ankh Society, which has opened an office under FitzOwen Green in Compassion Park.
Dot Warner: I will be hosting a Town Social this coming Sunday at 8pm in FitzOwen Green for interested citizens and friends of Britain. Refreshments will be provided.
Dot Warner: Also, don't forget that next month, Friday the 14th at 8pm, is the King's Cup Tournament.
Dot Warner: That is all, thank you.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Aornis, does the city of Vesper have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Aornis: All has been quiet in Vesper lately, though we remain vigilant.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Jameison, does the city of Jhelom have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Thom Jameison: Thank you your Highness
Thom Jameison: *smirks*
Thom Jameison: Things are going well in Jhelom.
DaKaren: *arches a brow*
Thom Jameison: Trade is improving and there have been no recent attacks on our city.
Malag aste: Highness?
Malag aste: *quirks a brow*
Thom Jameison: I have rescheduled a pirate hunt and beach party for this coming Monday .
Thom Jameison: 8pm under central skies. Come dressed to sink a few pirate ships .
Thom Jameison: That is all I have to report at this time.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Riley, does the City of Skara Brae have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Captain Riley: as the chancellor has pointed out we have a little undead problem on Iver's Rounding
Captain Riley: the royal guard is taking care of that little problem for us
Captain Riley: and governor Jameison the supplies
Captain Riley: are loaded up and ready for your inspection
Captain Riley: whenever you’re ready for the shipments
Thom Jameison: *nods*
Thom Jameison: excellent
Captain Riley: in some sad news
Captain Riley: it is official
Captain Riley: we have completed the process and the former governor
Captain Riley: is now dead according to the courts
DaKaren: *sighs*
Dot Warner: Do you have a body?
Malag aste: *glares slightly*
Captain Riley: we have started taking sealed bids for his possessions
Captain Riley: all bids can be turned in to me
Thom Jameison: he had a nice house
Captain Riley: and the highest bidder wins
Dot Warner: That's just tacky...
Captain Riley: why is that he owed a substantial amount in back taxes
Captain Riley: his little private war well pardon the pun
Captain Riley: bleed him dry
Martyna Z'muir: *groans*
Thom Jameison: *hands a sealed envelope to Captain Riley*
DaKaren: Thank you...Councilor... I think.
DaKaren: Councilor Knighthawke, does the city of Minoc have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Tanda: Thank you Chancellor
Captain Riley: *nod's and take's the envelope*
Tanda: Minoc has seen an increase in visits to the city since the start of more active trading
Tanda: There is also a celebration to be held after the Royal Council meeting on October 25th
Tanda: 9 p.m. ish central time
Tanda: to honor those from Minoc and Ter Mur who helped with the rebuilding efforts
Tanda: of Bordermarch
Tanda: I've been busy brewing for the event
Tanda: My plan is to hold it in Britain
Tanda: unless the King has other ideas
Tanda: so far his Secretary has not indicated such
Tanda: We've been blissfully quiet since they killed off the miner and drove
Tanda: those creatures out.
Tanda: That's all I have to tell you
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Minister Hla-ate, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Malag aste: I do and I don't think anyone will like the news either.
Polynikes of Yew: all follow me
Malag aste: Last week the corpse of Seit VonTulsmit was recovered off the shores near the Bridge of the Two Kings south of Skara Brae.
DaKaren: *frowns*
Tanda: *looks down*
Malag aste: It was taken to Newcastle where Brother Thomas and Setatabon are looking into his cause of death.
Thom Jameison: *raises an eyebrow*
Malag aste: *sighs*
Dot Warner: *looks at Riley*
Malag aste: He will be missed.
Malag aste: When I have further news regarding this matter I shall report it.
DaKaren: Is it known how he died?
Polynikes of Yew: *frowns*
Malag aste: No. We are unsure at this time...
Malag aste: *sighs*
Malag aste: *nods*
DaKaren: If Mr. Van Tuslmit has any family, please relay our condolences.
Malag aste: Other than that I have no other news at this time.
DaKaren: Thank you, Minister.
Malag aste: *nods*
DaKaren: Minister Todie, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Earlhad Todie: Thank you
Earlhad Todie: I know several folks are excited about the current trades going on
Earlhad Todie: I see more smugglers as well, which will come in handy in the future I'm sure
Earlhad Todie: I was also glad to see the travel advisory tonight
Earlhad Todie: That is all I have to report
DaKaren: Thank you, Minister.
DaKaren: Do any of the citizenry have anything to bring before the High Council this eve?
DaKaren: Nay? Very well then...
DaKaren: I hereby adjourn the 445th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Go with the Virtues!
