Log of the 455th Session of the High Council of Britannia.

DaKaren: Welcome to the 455th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: The Crooked Key Guild's leader, Samhayne, is no more.
DaKaren: The guild itself, however, is possibly still extant...just in tatters.
DaKaren: Samhayne met his end in the Smuggler's Road tunnel system somewhere under Britannay Bay.
DaKaren: The tunnels have been seized by the Crown as a threat to Britannia's security.
Dot Warner: *hrumphs*
DaKaren: An act I believe is in the best interests of the kingdom.
DaKaren: Hopefully, they can be used as a civilizing influence on the 'Den. *looks hopeful*
Dot Warner: Ha!
DaKaren: Sadly, a new threat has appeared in Trinsic: 'The Shame Knight.'
DaKaren: He appears to view himself as something of a vigilante, shining a light on the hypocritically virtuous.
DaKaren: *sighs* His actions seem more in line with the Cascan idea of Honor, rather than that of Lord British.
DaKaren: His actions are clearly criminal and a stain upon Trinsic.
DaKaren: I do, however, have faith that he will be brought to justice.
DaKaren: Grand Marshal Polynikes, would you please brief the Council on military matters in the Kingdom?
Polynikes of Yew: Thank you Chancellor and members of the Council
Polynikes of Yew: Things have been peaceful and we have no new reports of threats at this time.
DaKaren: That is good news indeed.
Polynikes of Yew: If anyone does see anything suspicious I can be found at the Militia Headquarters in Yew
Polynikes of Yew: That is all I have for the council at this time.
DaKaren: Thank you, Grand Marshal.
DaKaren: Councilor Kivlov, does the Township of Newcastle have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Guntur Kivlov: We as well...
Guntur Kivlov: Have nothing of note to report.
Guntur Kivlov: But I am welcoming the warmer weather.
DaKaren: No news is good news?
Guntur Kivlov: Aye Chancellor.
DaKaren: *smiles*
Guntur Kivlov: And, thank you Chancellor, that is all.
DaKaren: Nothing wrong with that.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Knighthawke, does the city of Minoc have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Tanda: Thank you Chancellor
Tanda: Minoc has been pretty peaceful, we hosted a brief hunt before this meeting
Tanda: which went pretty well
Tanda: Minoc saw the racers in the derby fly by
Tanda: briefly
John: *nods*
Tanda: they really were pretty much a blur
Dot Warner: *smirks*
Tanda: and despite trying to side track racers with food
Tanda: they stayed on task
Tanda: I have nothing else to add about Minoc
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Warner, does the City of Britain have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Dot Warner: Aye, I do. Thank you.
Dot Warner: Britain has remained quiet, though there have been rumors of the tunnel from Buccaneer's Den making the rounds.
Dot Warner: Hopefully, it won't lead to an influx of crime in the city... Luther, Britain's Sherriff, has been contemplating retirement. *sighs*
Dot Warner: In happier things, the Trans-Britannia Derby was held last weekend.
Dot Warner: While the number of riders was a tad on the anemic side, I believe that a good time was had by all.
Dot Warner: Drew of WTO won the derby, Katlyn of TS came in second, with DJ Doctor of UO Radio coming in third.
Dot Warner: Congratulations to them all.
Dot Warner: I wish to thank Majestic Oaks Auctions and the Knighthawke Trading Co. for providing the prizes. *smiles at Tanda and John*
John: *nods and smiles*
Dot Warner: The next big event will be on the 28th of this month, the Tournament of Valor.
Dot Warner: It is the first qualifier in the King's Cup Tournament.
Dot Warner: Look for an announcement on the Tribune soon.
Dot Warner: That is all.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor PabII, does the City of Yew have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
PabII: thank you chancellor
PabII: The city of yew has been quite peaceful as of late
PabII: nothing to report
PabII: thank you
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Jameison, does the city of Jhelom have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Thom Jameison: Thank you Chancellor
Thom Jameison: I congratulate Governor Tanda and all those that ran the Derby
Thom Jameison: It was quite impressive.
Thom Jameison: As for Jhelom things are going well.
Thom Jameison: Trade improves and other than drunk sailors in the taverns, the city is quiet.
Thom Jameison: We will be having a town meeting in 2 weeks.
Thom Jameison: The time and location will be posted by the end of the week.
DaKaren: Grand.
Thom Jameison: That is all I have to share with the council at this time.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: *looks at a note*
DaKaren: Lady Keyara, Governor Nemesis sent you from Moonglow in his stead?
Keyara: Yes, Chancellor. My lord sends his regrets, but pressing business in Moonglow has kept him away this eve
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: The demands of politics can be a fickle mistress.
Keyara: *nods*
Keyara: My lord works very long hours to ensure Moonglow's continued success.
DaKaren: Do you know if he wished for you to become the city's formal representative?
Keyara: He did not say, Chancellor, though he has ensured I am available when he cannot be.
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: His adjutant then.
Keyara: Yes, sir
Keyara: Nemesis is excited to share with the council that Moonglow is doing very well and enjoying a prosperous time.
DaKaren: Governors are assured a seat on the Council or they can appoint one of the citizens as a Councilor.
Keyara: *nods*
DaKaren: We just need to know who to swear in for the city's seat.
DaKaren: There is no hurry, however.
Keyara: I will make sure my lord has made his appointment before the next meeting.
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: That will work.
DaKaren: It is good to hear that Moonglow fares well.
Malag aste: And for future meetings sake should you attend again .... this is a place of peace you do not need to be so armed here.
Malag aste: Thank you.
Martyna Z'muir: *looks like she could burst into violence at any time*
Keyara: I apologize
Keyara: I am always on guard to protect our fair lands
Malag aste: You are fine. Just makes folk edgy to see weapons brandished in the hall.
DaKaren: Do you have anything else you wish to say regarding Moonglow, or any questions you may have for the Council?
Keyara: Moonglow's coffers are the fullest they have ever been and trade orders are happening at lightning speeds.
Keyara: Our citizens work hard to maintain the beauty and majesty of Moonglow, as do the citizens from other lands.
Keyara: Nemesis is in the planning phase for a large event to thank everyone for their dedication to our fair city
DaKaren: Grand.
Keyara: It will bring visitors to Moonglow and our island, with prizes and fun to be had for all
Keyara: As we solidify the details, the council will be the first to know
Malag aste: We look forward to hearing more about it in the future.
DaKaren: *nods*
Keyara: That is all for Moonglow this eve. Thank you for allowing me to join you.
DaKaren: We thank you, Lady Keyara.
DaKaren: Minister Hla-ate, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Malag aste: Thank you Chancellor DaKaren.
Malag aste: I just wanted to say as the Minister of Virtue that I share your sentiment about this "Shame Knight" in Trinsic.
Malag aste: Indeed it certainly has the air of Casca and is false virtues.
DaKaren: *nods*
Malag aste: I certainly hope he is stopped soon.
DaKaren: The last thing we need is a repeat of that insanity.
Malag aste: Indeed.
Malag aste: That was all I had for now.
DaKaren: Thank you, Minister.
DaKaren: Do any of the citizenry have anything to bring before the High Council this eve?
John: *raises hand*
DaKaren: Lord Knighthawke?
John: Three things.
John: Firstly, thank you as always Tanda for being my wife. *smiles*
Dot Warner: *arches a brow*
John: secondly, the Shame Knight is extremely disconcerting.
John: He in essence is what every knight fears to become.
John: Thirdly...Have we heard anything of late from Governor Warner's apparition?
Dot Warner: Thankfully, no.
John: *nods*
Malag aste: Didn't know she had one.
John: Thank you. Was just curious.
Martyna Z'muir: No random barking in the night?
Dot Warner: John might be imagining ninja assassins behind every bush.
Malag aste: Nay not in some weeks.
DaKaren: *nods to the Minister*
Goldie: Good evening council
Goldie: I am here to ask if anyone has seen Lord Earlhad Todie?
Malag aste: And you are?
DaKaren: Not in quite some time.
Goldie: I fear kidnapping
DaKaren: *frowns*
Malag aste: Oh?
DaKaren: *sighs*
Goldie: I am a friend who contacting the Lord on a previous matter
Malag aste: *scowls slightly at the mention of a kidnapping*
Goldie: It was rumored that he was holding the 10 million gold of reward monies for us
Dot Warner: He's part of the Council. Means he was due for a kidnapping...
DaKaren: Reward monies?
Goldie: But we never withdrew from the bank
Malag aste: I was never kidnapped as the Minister of Foreign affairs...
Malag aste: Do we know if he was working with any foreign nations in particular of late?
Martyna Z'muir: Show of hands! Who here hasn't been kidnapped?
Goldie: As some of you know he does drink too much ale sometimes
PabII: raises hand
Keyara: *tentatively raises hand*
Martyna Z'muir: Just one?
Martyna Z'muir: Two...
Malag aste: Well I think most everyone here... except of course myself has suffered from that.
Goldie: We did not speak much of his work
Malag aste: I can assure you as a Minister I have not been kidnapped.
Cobweb: *whispers to Goldie, Occlo*
Malag aste: However prior to becoming Minister I have indeed been.... held against my will.
Dot Warner: But you have been kidnapped, Malag.
DaKaren: Ehem...
Cobweb: Cobeb
DaKaren: Let's stay on track.
John: Aye.
DaKaren: So Minister Todie may have been kidnapped...
DaKaren: *sighs*
Goldie: Cobweb just reminded me that Lord Earlhad was working a peace trade agreement with Occlo
DaKaren: Grand Marshal, could the BAF investigate?
Malag aste: In the dark lands?
Goldie: Yes the dark land my lord
Polynikes of Yew: of course Chancellor
Polynikes of Yew: we will get right on that.
DaKaren: Thank you.
DaKaren: Miss Goldie, please give the Grand Marshal all the information that you can.
Goldie: I truly appreciate that as well as the other Vendors and Tradesmen
DaKaren: Anyone else with something to bring forth?
Goldie: I will thank you Chancellor
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Nay? Very well then.
DaKaren: I hereby adjourn the 455th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Go with the Virtues.
