Log of the High Council Meeting on 3/23/15

Post by Lord DaKaren » Mon Apr 20, 2015 2:23 am

Log of the 456th Session of the High Council of Britannia.

DaKaren: Welcome to the 456th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Trinsic saw the return of the Shame Knight last week...
DaKaren: *frowns at the lack of Councilor Mortaul's presence*
DaKaren: He was tracked from the city, to the dungeon Shame, and then to the Greyhaven lighthouse...which is apparently where he grew up.
DaKaren: I heard there is a tragic story involved...
DaKaren: However, while in Shame, the antipaladin removed the dungeon's moonstone.
DaKaren: *shakes head sadly*
DaKaren: This is at least the third such removal in recent memory, thus a pattern is forming.
DaKaren: I am wondering why these disparate criminals have sought to remove these artifacts...or better yet...who is spurring their acquisition.
DaKaren: Especially, since another set of similar blackrock artifacts was reassembled a few years ago.
Dot Warner: You mean when my city had that black, festering boil? *scowls*
DaKaren: *arches a brow* Indeed.
DaKaren: Rarely have this sphere's dalliance with blackrock proven beneficial.
Martyna Z'muir: *mumbles: "Rarely? Try ever..."*
DaKaren: I strongly encourage the artifact to be retrieved from the lighthouse and re-hidden in Shame... or somewhere it can never, ever be abused.
DaKaren: Grand Marshal Polynikes, would you please brief the Council on military matters in the Kingdom?
Guntur Kivlov: *adjusts his hat*
Farimer Tensus: *rubs beard*
John: *looking vaguely and warily over to the right*
John: *as captain obvious enters*
John: *nodding and resuming watch*
Polynikes of Yew: Thank you, Chancellor
Polynikes of Yew: Council
Polynikes of Yew: *nods head*
Farimer Tensus: *coughs lightly*
Captain Obvious: *notices some envious glares his way*
Polynikes of Yew: Things have been relatively quiet.
Captain Obvious: *pretends not to notice*
Farimer Tensus: *stares at staff*
Polynikes of Yew: I do wish to speak with anyone who might have seen the missing Minister Todie
Polynikes of Yew: on the last day he was seen.
Cobweb: psst Goldie, you should try to find Hicks
Polynikes of Yew: I will be available after this meeting to speak with anyone that has information.
Polynikes of Yew: That is all I have to share with the council at this time.
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Grand Marshal.
Farimer Tensus: *claps*
DaKaren: *looks at Councilor Tensus oddly*
Cobweb: We know a guy named Hicks who told us he saw something,
Farimer Tensus: *stares awkwardly at room*
John: *looking at the Chancellor*
John: *eyes scanning the room*
Cobweb: Hopefully he gets here soon
John: Are you alright Chancellor?
DaKaren: Please have him speak to the Grand Marshal at his earliest convenience
Polynikes of Yew: *nods*
DaKaren: Aye, Councilor Tensus was just being... odd.
Dot Warner: That's nothing new...
John: *looking back and forth oddly between the Councilor and the Chancellor and shrugging*
John: I suppose?
DaKaren: Anyway...
Farimer Tensus: I apologize Chancellor I was very enthused by the Marshal
DaKaren: Indeed...
DaKaren: Councilor Kivlov, does the Township of Newcastle have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Guntur Kivlov: * fiddles with his sash then looks to the council *
Hicks: hi Cobweb
Guntur Kivlov: Ah yes..
Guntur Kivlov: Spring has arrived in our lovely town.
Guntur Kivlov: I have noticed an unusual amount of wildflowers...
Cobweb: *turn head away to avoid the alcohol breath*
Guntur Kivlov: other than that, we have nothing of importance to bring to the council today
Guntur Kivlov: *nods to the chancellor with finality*
Guntur Kivlov: thank you Chancellor
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Knighthawke, does the city of Minoc have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Tanda: Other than, following through with aiding some minstrels and gamblers
Tanda: locate a space to entertain some of the citizenry
Tanda: Things have been pretty quiet
Captain Obvious: *ah Gambling*
Tanda: I have not heard anything in regards to anyone
Tanda: seeing Governor Warner about the Tournament of Valor
Tanda: so I think things are under control
Tanda: *crosses fingers*
Dot Warner: *nods*
Tanda: That is all I have Chancellor
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Warner, does the City of Britain have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Dot Warner: I do. Thank you.
Dot Warner: Britain is still quiet, though there has been talk of gathering magical shapeshifting seeds for a dead woman to plant in Malas.
Dot Warner: What could possibly go wrong? *shrugs*
Dot Warner: The Tournament of Valor will be held this Saturday at 1pm C.
Dot Warner: There are currently eight registered combatants. If two more sign up the tournament will become single elimination.
Dot Warner: It is currently double elimination, however that may prove rather time consuming.
Dot Warner: Registration may be done through the Tribune or via a registration form at MoA.
Dot Warner: That is all.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Aornis, does the city of Vesper have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Captain Obvious: *thinks for a moment*
Aornis: All is well in Vesper. The citizens are enjoying the quiet. That is all.
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Jameison, does the city of Jhelom have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Thom Jameison: Thank you Chancellor
Thom Jameison: Things are going well in Jhelom.
Thom Jameison: Business is booming have had 2 new businesses open
Thom Jameison: Suzie's Brothel and Sex Slave Emporium is offering great deals
Tanda: *stifles a laugh*
DaKaren: Erm...
Guntur Kivlov: *chokes on his water*
Farimer Tensus: *eyes wide*
Thom Jameison: *smiles* an Other than that the city continues to prosper under my guidance and
John: *keeping focused on being vigilant*
Dot Warner: We're advertising brothels at the Council now?
Thom Jameison: That is all I have to share unless anyone needs an introduction to Suzie.
Cobweb: *thinks he was saying that to see who is paying attention*
Thom Jameison: *grins
Tanda: It worked!
Farimer Tensus: This is a free market Councilor
Hicks: *raises hand*
Martyna Z'muir: Suzie must be his sister...
Malag aste: *raises a brow*
DaKaren: *coughs*
Malag aste: Well... that was ... different.
Farimer Tensus: *looks in coin purse*
DaKaren: Lets...uh... move along...
DaKaren: Councilor Tensus, does the City of Skara Brae have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Farimer Tensus: Aye Thank you Chancellor
Farimer Tensus: The City of Skara Brae is continuing to prosper
Farimer Tensus: the renew of spring brings much joy to the citizens
Farimer Tensus: I must say that we have not been blessed
Farimer Tensus: with the abundance of new businesses as the great Governor Jameison has
Farimer Tensus: but I am confident that our growth will continue
Thom Jameison: *smiles*
Farimer Tensus: shipping is strong, trade deals our strong... This is all I wish to report at this time
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
Farimer Tensus: No thank you Chancellor
Farimer Tensus: *smiles*
DaKaren: Minister Hla-ate, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Malag aste: Well outside the obvious of the attack against virtue in the dungeon of Shame.
Malag aste: Things are well.
Malag aste: Though I have concerns regarding this Knight.
DaKaren: *nods*
Malag aste: Who in my opinion is no Knight.
DaKaren: Agreed.
Malag aste: Perhaps a Knight of Chaos but certainly not honor.
Malag aste: I will be very relieved when that matter is resolved.
Malag aste: In the meantime we should be ever vigilant to his false virtue.
Malag aste: That is all I had.
DaKaren: Thank you, Minister.
DaKaren: Do any of the citizenry have anything to bring before the High Council this eve?
DaKaren: *arches a brow*
Hicks: stumbles to podium
DaKaren: How may be assist you, citizen?
Hicks: Would you introduce me to Suzie?
Farimer Tensus: is there a bar in this fine chamber?
Dot Warner: *mumbles something about sausages and corridors*
Captain Obvious: *anticipates a fall*
Cobweb: PFFT just tell them what you saw Hicks!
DaKaren: *sighs*
Hicks: umm yes
Thom Jameison: *smiles
Farimer Tensus: fantastic
Hicks: I hear there is a reward
Hicks: and I always need gold to buy mead
Captain Obvious: *now were speaking my language*
Hicks: I believe I saw Lord Earlhad Todie leaving the Albatross
DaKaren: Reward for what?
John: For the Minister.
Hicks: With a very attractive young lady
Hicks: I have not seen her before or since
Captain Obvious: *notices tensions rise in John's voice*
DaKaren: I see.
Hicks: so unfortunately do not know her name
John: *maintaining readiness*
DaKaren: Please make sure that the Grand Marshal, the man seated next to you, gets all your information.
Hicks: she did have striking long blue hair
Tanda: What can you tell us about this lass?
Hicks: will do.
Tanda: Blue hair
Tanda: hmm
Captain Obvious: *creeps closer to the door*
Hicks: she ignored the rest of us blokes in the tavern and
Malag aste: *frowns*
Hicks: focused straight on the Minister
Tanda: Tall or short?
Hicks: she was tall and thin
John: Elf or human?
John: Or something else.
Tanda: womanly or build like a fella?
Hicks: Human of course
Hicks: very womanly
Farimer Tensus: *raises eyebrow*
Tanda: Well then someone's likely taken notice
Hicks: which is out of place for that establishment :)
John: She went to him, then want?
Hicks: they talked, did not even get her a drink
Hicks: and they walked out together
John: Touching? Holding hands for example?
Hicks: He did not look like he was under duress
John: Touching? Holding hands for example? When they left.
Hicks: i did hear her saying something about helping her find her lost pet
Tanda: That would seem to rule out him having been drugged?
Hicks: leaning over to show off her cleavage as well
Tanda: *grins*
Malag aste: Sounds more like lured.
Tanda: So other assets
Farimer Tensus: a working woman...
Tanda: *nods*
Hicks: unnhmm
Malag aste: Obviously knows how to play a man.
Farimer Tensus: Aye
Hicks: honestly any of us would have left willingly with her
John: *glares* No.
Malag aste: Maybe you but I'm a married man.
Farimer Tensus: women also?
Farimer Tensus: or just men
Hicks: which is why we did not suspect for weeks that he fell into foul play
DaKaren: *mumbles about mammals under his breath*
Farimer Tensus: nevermind
Tanda: Never under estimate that drive in mammals Chancellor
Malag aste: Well.... one can never be sure.
Hicks: nods
DaKaren: Hmm? Oh... yes..
Malag aste: Perhaps it was something that happened later..
John: *smiles* Some of us have need only for wives, however.
Hicks: Please let me know when I get the reward
Malag aste: Do we know where they went?
John: As I understood the terms of the reward, it was following the Minister's safe return.
John: *looking to Cobweb for confirmation*
Hicks: Thank you for you time chancellor
DaKaren: Is Minister Todie married?
Farimer Tensus: aye good question
John: And aye Minister *to Malag* It could be unrelated but it also is all we have at the moment.
Cobweb: No he is not married
Malag aste: So right unless he is found and returned safely I would gather that you don't get a reward....
Cobweb: I did not think him to be much of a womanizer either
Malag aste: And then there is of course do we trust the word of.... the town drunk?
DaKaren: No spurned spouse at least.
Farimer Tensus: sometimes the spirit brings the truth
Malag aste: *looks sideways at Hicks*
John: *like he is thinking out loud* If he was taken in Felucca for Felucca reasons, then
John: he is lost until and unless someone makes a demand.
Hicks: *hicups*
John: But if he was taken back here..
John: *then trails off*
Malag aste: Or is he just some drunk wanting to capitalize on the misfortune for some gold.
Malag aste: At any rate perhaps the bartender at the Albatross might know something
Tanda: *nods*
DaKaren: A good suggestion.
Malag aste: Or a waitress.
DaKaren: *looks to the Grand Marshal*
Tanda: Is the Albatross some place those who use their pets to hunt might frequent
John: No.
John: All of Felucca is a war zone, people are hunted there, not monsters.
Cobweb: it is where we trade
Cobweb: *clears throat*
Cobweb: some black market goods
Polynikes of Yew: *nods*
Tanda: Do you suppose Rylna considers her spiders pets?
Tanda: I'm trying to understand how perhaps the term "Pet"
Tanda: might have been misinterpreted
Tanda: Slaves are sometimes referred to in this term
Malag aste: Was a human female.
John: Or, hmm....
Dot Warner: Maybe she wanted to put the Minister on a leash..
John: *to Hicks*
John: Was the term "pet?"
Malag aste: Does she have humans?
John: Or something that can be used to refer to something else?
Malag aste: I suppose maybe she does.
DaKaren: *sighs*
Hicks: not sure, she did not look like a tamer though
John: Did he literally say the word pet or did he name a pet?
Hicks: I would have thought her more a slave herself
John: A cat for example.
Hicks: but i did not notice anyone else around
Tanda: Well given enough reprogramming, there wouldn't be
Tanda: a need for a handler for her
Malag aste: True.
Hicks: she did have a strange necklace on it
Hicks: that looked more like a collar than jewelry
John: *looking up*
Malag aste: Rylna can be very .... persuasive especially to the weak of mind.
John: HIcks.....The Minister is more likely to be recovered, and, hence, yo more likely to receive a rward,
John: if you tell us complete information.
Malag aste: Did the female seem frightened or nervous?
Malag aste: Or more robotic and direct.
Hicks: I will try to get more information
Malag aste: *nods*
John: But you have now told us ALL that you saw that night?
Hicks: Not at all, she seemed very in control, like on a mission
Malag aste: *sighs*
Hicks: again she ignored the rest of us men in the tavern
Malag aste: Didn't Rylna send a messenger here before?
Hicks: Might I add I am younger and much more handsome than the Minister
Hicks: But he is more heavy with gold and was rumored
Hicks: to be holding the reward Cobweb had offered earlier in the year
John: If you have told us all Hicks, thank you and please remember to inform the Grand Marshal,
John: should you hear or recall anything else.
John: *thinking*
Cobweb: He was not holding our gold though, we had not had a chance to do the bank transfer yet
Malag aste: So he was rumored though to have gold.
Malag aste: A large sum....
Malag aste: Doesn't Slim the Fence operate out of that tavern?
John: Sometimes -- hence, I assumed, the business dealings he already has admitted to.
Cobweb: Yes you can usually find Slim in the Albatross
John: Thank you Hicks. Remember to find the Grand marshal, or one of us, should you remember more.
Hicks: nods
John: *thinking, remaining vigilant*
DaKaren: Anything else before we adjourn?
DaKaren: Nay?
DaKaren: Very well then.
DaKaren: I hereby adjourn the 456th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Go with the Virtues.
