DaKaren: Welcome to the 465th session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Many emeralds were recovered from the waters in Tokuno last week.
DaKaren: Relics of the long-gone Rondorin Empire.
DaKaren: Fortunately, the Empress doesn't appear to mind that Britannians walked off with their lost wealth.
DaKaren: However, I heard that a great deal of unagi went to waste...
DaKaren: Such a shame. *looks wistful*
DaKaren: An Ilshenarian diamond should be next, sometime in the near future.
DaKaren: Also, be aware that another moonstone of sin is loose in the world...Pride, it is believed. *sighs wearily*

Malag aste: Yes...
DaKaren: The extended nomination period for the empty High Court seats has come to an end.
DaKaren: Election Administrator Kivlov, would you please inform the Council as to the status of any new nominees for the High Court...
Guntur Kivlov: *coughs*
Guntur Kivlov: Excuse me...
Guntur Kivlov: We now have a total of four candidates for the Justicar positions.
Guntur Kivlov: In addition to Bert Shadow and Nevahs'en Blazefire,
Guntur Kivlov: Walter Tyrell and Mr. Valeran are now in the running.
Guntur Kivlov: Debates for the potions will begin on the 3rd, next Monday.
Guntur Kivlov: With the elections declared the following Monday. *checks his notes*
The Shadow: *marks his calendar*
Guntur Kivlov: Not counting on.. any unforeseen national conflicts.

Guntur Kivlov: Mr. Tyrell, would you like to introduce yourself to the council?
Guntur Kivlov: make a quick introduction for those who do not already know you?
Walter Tyrell: Thank you Chancellor
Walter Tyrell: members of the Council
Walter Tyrell: I was Governor of Moonglow for an extended period as well as a member of this
Walter Tyrell: august body.
Walter Tyrell: I seek only to further serve the people.

Guntur Kivlov: Thank you Former Governor.
Guntur Kivlov: Mr. Valeran, would you like to address the Council?
Valeran: *nods*
Valeran: Lords and Ladies of the Council
Valeran: My name is Valeran Locke
Valeran: I was formally Captain of the Britain Town Militia
Valeran: before the split from the Dead Lands.
Valeran: I am fluent in all aspects of the Virtues
Valeran: and wish to serve the realm.

DaKaren: Grand Marshal Polynikes, would you please brief the Council on military matters in the Kingdom?
Polynikes of Yew: Thank you, Chancellor, members of the Council.
Polynikes of Yew: I assume we have Governor Jameison to thank for all the extra... hmm...security.
Thom Jameison: Chancellor the extra soldiers are men from my Jhelom Defense Force here for security.
Thom Jameison: I feel that security has been too loose.
DaKaren: *nods*
Thom Jameison: No offense intended
Polynikes of Yew: *scowls*
Malag aste: *mutters about them reeking of fish*
DaKaren: With the recent attacks, I would concur.
Kittie: *is rather enjoying the fishy smell*
Polynikes of Yew: As for a current report.
Polynikes of Yew: There were sightings of Rodrik's men at the Moonglow Fair this weekend and some attacks.
DaKaren: *sighs*
Polynikes of Yew: We did capture a messenger in Rodrik's employ last week that carried
Polynikes of Yew: correspondence that implicates Rodrik and Belaern in the attacks at the Royal Council meeting.
Dot Warner: Was that even in question?
Polynikes of Yew: We have the messenger in custody thanks to Malag-aste and Juanita and will continue to
Polynikes of Yew: question him.
John: Proof of suspicion is better than mere suspicion, Governor. *said very quietly*
Polynikes of Yew: There were some disturbing references in the letters that I feel
Polynikes of Yew: cannot be divulged
DaKaren: *arches a brow*
Malag aste: *looks suspiciously at Will*
Kittie: *raises a brow*
Polynikes of Yew: I would like a special meeting with you Chancellor as well as Governors Warner, Knighthawk and
Polynikes of Yew: Willa as soon as possible.
Polynikes of Yew: That is all I have to share with the council at this time.
DaKaren: Very well, we can arrange that for after this session, if you would like.
Polynikes of Yew: Yes, please
DaKaren: Very well. Thank you, Grand Marshal.
DaKaren: Councilor Kivlov, does the Township of Newcastle have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Guntur Kivlov: Newcastle remains quiet. I feel even more so, as I have been focusing on the Justicar election.
Guntur Kivlov: We have nothing of merit to report to the council.
Guntur Kivlov: *nods* thank you Chancellor
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Knighthawke, does the city of Minoc have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Tanda: Thank you Chancellor
Tanda: I received a letter from Rodrik Von Karl
John: Please close the door quickly behind you.
John: *sighs*
John: God damn it
Tanda: and a package which I turned over to my husband
Tanda: so far no violence
DaKaren: More extortion?
Tanda: aye
Tanda: pay me for my protection
Tanda: or else
Tanda: we are hearing more and more
Tanda: rumblings in the tavern
Tanda: laborers about Minoc are not happy
Tanda: there has been a lot of talk

Tanda: by businessmen
Tanda: I guess would be the best term
Tanda: offering "contracted" labor
Tanda: I'm not sure I'm going to have to sit down
Tanda: and talk to some of the companies in the area
Tanda: fear seems to be increasing
DaKaren: Fear of what?
Tanda: that there will be laborers coming in to replace

Tanda: so things are a little tense
Tanda: but we're holding our own

DaKaren: Councilor Warner, does the City of Britain have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Dot Warner: Actually, Britain has been so quiet recently that I don't have anything pressing for this session.
Dot Warner: Here's to hoping that lasts. *lopsided grin*
Dot Warner: The Smuggler's Run Regatta will be Saturday, August 22nd at 1pm CDT... barring any unforeseen conflicts.
Dot Warner: The grand prize will be a newly commissioned Britannian ship.
Dot Warner: Expect an announcement on the Tribune by the end of this month.
Dot Warner: That is all, thank you.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor PabII, does the City of Yew have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
PabII: Thank you chancellor
PabII: Ms. Willa reported to me that
PabII: Rodrik sent her a letter saying he will protect her for a price
PabII: he also sent her a box fortunately she was smart enough to use telekinesis to open it and it
PabII: exploded but she was not harmed
PabII: it contained another threatening note that she will get protection for a
PabII: price.
PabII: I have been escorting her as much as I can to where ever she needs to go.
PabII: this menace needs to be caught.
Dot Warner: Or stabbed a great many times...
PabII: Yew itself is pretty calm. For now.
PabII: Yes I agree

DaKaren: Councilor Aornis, does the city of Vesper have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Aornis: All is well in Vesper. The city has been quiet of late and her citizens and I are thankful for this.

DaKaren: Councilor Jameison, does the city of Jhelom have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Thom Jameison: Thank you Chancellor
Thom Jameison: Things are going well in Jhelom. No crime business is booming.
Thom Jameison: Jhelom is a perfect example of how well a city can run when you protect the citizens and give
Thom Jameison: them opportunities to grow. *smiles*

Thom Jameison: We will gladly provide security to any city or business that feels threatened by that vile menace
Thom Jameison: to society called Rodrik.

DaKaren: Councilor Goldie, does the city of New Magincia have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Goldie: Thank you Chancellor
Goldie: It has been very quiet in Magincia
Goldie: However I too received a demand for payment and a trapped chest
Goldie: I considered the threat empty until after I opened the chest
Goldie: When I regained consciousness, I sought out Roderick and I have paid for protection
Norman Arminger: *looks interested*
Goldie: If you can't beat them join them I guess
Goldie: I also wanted to report that Cobweb was mugged again
PabII: he is a vicious, vile scum of the earth
DaKaren: *sighs*
DaKaren: Paying him will only encourage his antics.
Goldie: this time I did hide an engraving on the lantern
PabII: I would die before i paid him 1 red cent
Goldie: When I get a chance I plan to visit the tavern called Suzie's
Goldie: to see if the lantern is on display
Goldie: I know it seems like I play a broken record
Goldie: But I am now suspecting that Roderick might be
Goldie: *glances at Governor Jameson*
Goldie: that Roderik might be the force behind Lord Earlhad Todie's disappearance
Thom Jameison: *raises eyebrows*
Goldie: I intend to use my new formed alliance
DaKaren: That would be bad...
Goldie: and gain access to sneak around the tavern and any other
Goldie: facilities they have to support and supply the tavern
Goldie: *glances again at Jameson*
DaKaren: Please, try to not get kidnapped.

PabII: you do not know who is working with Rodrik.
DaKaren: Councilor Arminger, does the city of Trinsic have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Norman Arminger: Thank you Chancellor fellow Council members
Norman Arminger: Trinsic is quiet and peaceful.
Norman Arminger: We are raising a militia *looks around the room*
Norman Arminger: That seems to be what is needed to ensure the safety of your citizens these days.
Norman Arminger: All interested recruits should report to the Trinsic docks this Wed for signup.
Norman Arminger: That is all I have at this time.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Kittie, does the city of Moonglow have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Kittie: Thank you Chancellor.
Kittie: The Moonglow Garden Gala and Faire seemed to be going quite well, despite that demon dog's stench invading the town. It is true that Rodrik's men once again
Kittie: made threats upon Moonglow and its citizens.. leaving boxes everywhere.. Thankfully everyone was alright .. but threats were made upon my life this time. Either to pay up or pay the consequences. I chose the latter of the two. I do not
Kittie: intend to pay the canine or it's "companions". I intend on defending Moonglow to my last breath if need be. *shakes her head* I will not stand for such threats.
Kittie: That being said.. Moonglow will be hosting an archery tournament later next month. I will be sure to have it down in parchment and sent to you when everything is complete.
Kittie: I also come to ask a proposition to the councilors.. something to bring all of our towns together. All in good fun of course, but to get citizens cheering for their fair cities.
Kittie: A monthly tournament.. where each city may choose a contender to represent their city and
Kittie: they fight until the last one standing and that town has the honor of being the "best of the month" ..
Kittie: .. that is all I have. *smiles and nods*
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Minister Hla-ate, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Malag aste: I do not I think Polynikes covered what I know as far as the spy we caught that was obviously transporting correspondences to Rodrik.
Malag aste: Rather concerning.
Malag aste: I'm looking forward to the elections and want to remind everyone of the importance of making sure our Judicial System is functional and keeping to the Virtues.
Malag aste: They should reflect our Virtues.
Malag aste: After all, they are upholding our laws and ideals.
The Shadow: *nods in agreement*
Malag aste: I wish all the candidates well.
Malag aste: And i look forward to the debates.
Malag aste: Thank you that was all I have.
DaKaren: Good sentiments.
DaKaren: Thank you, Minister.
DaKaren: Do any of the citizenry have anything to bring before the High Council this eve?
The Shadow: Aye, I do.
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Bert, was it? Please go ahead..
The Shadow: Thank you, Chancellor.
The Shadow: I know that I have not been here very long.
The Shadow: But I find myself outraged by many of the things I have heard tonight.
The Shadow: The lack of Justice in the realm.
The Shadow: This.. Roderick is taking advantage of the lack and I hope he is stopped soon.
The Shadow: The Wrong must be stopped.
The Shadow: We cannot have him and his ilk picking up the weaker cities.
The Shadow: It was not my intent to make an election speech, and it still isn't.
The Shadow: However, I hope it will be the vow of any Justicar, myself included, to bring this man to Justice!
Guntur Kivlov: *claps*
The Shadow: And if it should be me.. then he needs to know his days are numbered.. for we will stop him!
The Shadow: *lowers his head*
The Shadow: Forgive my ramblings. I get too caught up sometimes.
DaKaren: *smiles*

The Shadow: And I apologize, I just felt disgusted by his antics.

Guntur Kivlov: for is contribution tonight of troops.
