DaKaren: Before we begin the meeting proper, we will hear election results from Election Administrator Kivlov...

Guntur Kivlov: The ballots have been collected and counted by myself, and recounted by Mr. Aste
Guntur Kivlov: Before I list the results however, I would like to address Miss Warner for a moment.
Dot Warner: *arches a brow*
Guntur Kivlov: Chancellor, could you please hand the ballot listed as "Rorik Van Karl" to Lady Warner?
John: Thank you Governor for closing the door.
DaKaren: Hmm..
Kittie: *nods*
DaKaren: *digs through the bag*
Kittie: Please pardon my tardiness.
Dot Warner: *looks over the ballot*
Guntur Kivlov: Lady Warner, I know that one cannot know all of one's constituents
Guntur Kivlov: But I find that particular ballot suspicious
Dot Warner: *sighs*
Malag aste: As do I.
Guntur Kivlov: Are you familiar with a Rorik?
Dot Warner: He does claim citizenship in Britain...
Dot Warner: Rorik? Nay..
Dot Warner: I assumed that Rodrik is addled enough to misspell his own name.
Guntur Kivlov: I wish to give all votes their due weight, but I have reason to believe this is a not so veiled jab
Guntur Kivlov: at our democracy.
Dot Warner: *feigns shock*

Guntur Kivlov: By yes... Rodrik.
John: Sometimes one dropped letter is all that is needed for sarcasm.
Malag aste: And I then considered that that vote be stricken from the recordings.
Dot Warner: Anyone with 'Von Karl' as a surname should be ashamed to display it.
Guntur Kivlov: Perhaps...
PabII: I second the motion to drop the vote
Guntur Kivlov: However..... We cannot cast aside a vote on suspicions alone.
Malag aste: But I wanted to be sure there was no registered Citizen that might be legit.
PabII: then he needs to present himself to us so we know who he is
DaKaren: Hmmm.
Malag aste: So the question was Dot is there a Citizen Registered in Britain as Rorik?
PabII: if he is truly a citizen of Britain he shouldn't be hard to find
DaKaren: I do not believe that the Sixth Constitution has any language about disputed votes...
The Shadow: Is that vote a determining factor in the winner?
Dot Warner: I have no knowledge of one, but I can hardly claim to know the entire population..
Guntur Kivlov: This single vote will affect the results of this election.
PabII: do you have a roster of citizens Dot?
Malag aste: Yes it will affect the outcome.
Dot Warner: That might be a question better answered by a census taker.
Guntur Kivlov: If any evidence points to Rodrik, it would be how wonderful a mess he has made of this.
The Shadow: That close? Interesting.
Dot Warner: The Crown might... I would have to check.
Guntur Kivlov: *nods*
Dot Warner: Would you like me to return to Britain and check?
Malag aste: Please do as this vote is extremely suspicious.
Guntur Kivlov: Perhaps you could send an aide this evening and get back to us?

Guntur Kivlov: We can move on with this council meeting, and list the results afterward.
Dot Warner: And aide.. of.. wouldn't that be lovely.

Malag aste: And with such a tight race I want to be completely sure it's valid.

Dot Warner: Alright, I have news.
Guntur Kivlov: Yes?
Dot Warner: According to the census rolls, there are three "Von Karls" listed.
Dot Warner: Two of them, Reginald and Della Von Karl, are both listed as deceased as of BY 495.
Thom Jameison: *raises an eyebrow*
Dot Warner: Only their son, Rodrik Von Karl, is still alive...for now.
Guntur Kivlov: *frowns*
Guntur Kivlov: And you are sure of this Lady Warner?
Dot Warner: There was no "Rorik" listed.
Malag aste: Well I would certainly like to remedy that problem....
John: Please save the ballot for the Marshal, Governor.
Dot Warner: *nods*

Guntur Kivlov: Well... In light of this information, i can assume that this ballot is disqualified

The Shadow: Ah my humility.. perhaps I should have voted.

Malag aste: Sometimes Humility is called for and other times it is not.
Guntur Kivlov: My solution would be simple.. but I doubt constitutional.
DaKaren: The Sixth Constitution requires a run off in instances of a tie.
Tanda: *sighs*
Malag aste: So the three that tied we'll have to vote again?
DaKaren: Aye..
Nevahs Blazefire: *Looks around the room for Valeran.*
DaKaren: We will have to organize this and put out new ballots..
The Shadow: A pity the new head Justicar can't pick her team.

Guntur Kivlov: Chancellor, shall we revote and count them at the next meeting.
DaKaren: *nods* A new ballot will be out by tomorrow morning... The voting period will end at 7:55pm next Monday eve.

DaKaren: Or, rather, under the ocean's surface.
DaKaren: The gargish community of Ambrosia, presumably named after the still-missing fifth continent, has been secretly constructed off the western coast of Fire Isle.
DaKaren: There is concern that the moonstone of Pride may be involved, so visitors should be on their guard.
DaKaren: Regardless, I think we should be encouraging towards the settlers.
DaKaren: A friendly, stable gargish presence in Sosaria could go a long ways to strengthening relations.

Polynikes of Yew: Things have been quiet. We are pursuing leads regarding the messenger we captured.
Polynikes of Yew: The Security Council will be handling this sensitive situation.
Polynikes of Yew: We will also need to discuss charges against the prisoner with the High Justicar .

Guntur Kivlov: I do not wish to take anymore of the Council's time than I already have.
Guntur Kivlov: Newcastle is well, with no outstanding issues.

Dot Warner: The Smuggler's Run Regatta is scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd at 1pm CDT, starting at the Moonglow dock.

Dot Warner: I've heard tell that Ingrid, the Chief Healer of Cove, may have found a cause for the ongoing illness there.

Thom Jameison: The city of Jhelom is peaceful and experiencing a boom in trade and general business.
Thom Jameison: I attribute this to our business friendly tax structure and the absolute security

Kittie: *nods* I do hope so. We are bringing in an expert to help care for these new animals.. I am told they should be ready sometime later this week.
Kittie: Other than this, everything seems to be going quite well. *smiles*

Guntur Kivlov: I would like to thank, on behalf of this Council, Governors and fellow councilman Thom Jameison.

Guntur Kivlov: We have not had even a hint of an attack since the Jhelom Defense force has stepped up to our aid
