Log of the 472nd Session of the High Council of Britannia.

DaKaren: Welcome to the 472nd session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Matters in the kingdom have been relatively quiet since our last session...
DaKaren: There was a brief increase in domestic hauntings, but they appear to have been dealt with handily.
DaKaren: An Umbran "genius" necromancer is reportedly to blame. *sighs*
DaKaren: This year's Samhain was even less blood curdling than usual, barring the Eighth Annual Festival, of course.
DaKaren: No new horrors have been reported in Eodon, save an alleged sighting of an un-make-upped Minax. *cringes, shaking his head*
John: *chuckling softly*
DaKaren: I have had the opportunity to acquire several of the Eodonian tribe's items of worship, two of which appear to contain unusual psychic fields.
DaKaren: It is possible that the tribes have willed various entities into being trough ritual, such as the "spirits" the recent survey reported.
DaKaren: While not gods, such beings could be quite powerful and are likely to be on the mercurial side. Please be careful.
DaKaren: There has been no news out of Britain as to the state of King Blackthorn, only rumor and innuendo...
Dot Warner: *snorts* Like the rumor that His Majesty and Heckles took the Smugglers Road to the 'Den and are...recreating...at the bath house?
Valeran: doh
DaKaren: *clears throat* It is not our place to speculate on such matters.
Kittie: *blinks!!*
Dot Warner: Oh, no...OF COURSE NOT... *said with mock solemnity*
John: *sighing*
DaKaren: *sighs*
John: *shaking head*
Malag aste: Too bad they destroyed the bath in Magincia... it was so much nicer.
DaKaren: There is tell that Minister Todie was found during the Samhain Festival, but I have not had a chance to speak with him. Hopefully he is well.
Dot Warner: I saw him. He seemed a bit discombobulated.
DaKaren: I'm sure Councilor Goldie is relieved.
DaKaren: *looks at her empty chair*
DaKaren: Perhaps we will know more next session.
DaKaren: Grand Marshal Polynikes, would you please brief the Council on military matters in the Kingdom?
Polynikes of Yew: Thank you, Chancellor.
Polynikes of Yew: members of the Council
Polynikes of Yew: Things have been very quiet overall.
Polynikes of Yew: I have not had any reports of attacks at this time.
DaKaren: This is good news!
Polynikes of Yew: I have had a few vague reports of suspicious activity on the mainland coastal areas near Skara
Polynikes of Yew: I was hoping Governor Tensus might be here to shed some light.
Polynikes of Yew: *frowns* I will send a patrol and report to the Council if I have any additional information.
Dot Warner: His staff probably needed tending to...
DaKaren: *sighs quietly*
Polynikes of Yew: This is all I have to report at this time.
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you for your diligence, Grand Marshal.
Tanda: What's the matter Chancellor, is Dot being irreverent?
DaKaren: ...
John: *smirking* Spare the rod.
Tanda: *grins*
John: *winks*
DaKaren: I have found that to be her normal state.
Dot Warner: *smirks*
Dot Warner: You know you wouldn't have it any other way!
DaKaren: Mmm.
DaKaren: Perhaps.
DaKaren: Councilor Kivlov, does the Township of Newcastle have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Guntur Kivlov: *ahem*
Guntur Kivlov: Newcastle has remained peaceful and prosperous, and has no pressing issues to bring
Guntur Kivlov: before the Council this eve.
Guntur Kivlov: *smiles*
DaKaren: Prosperity is good.
Guntur Kivlov: I am glad to see that the diligence of the Jhelom Defense Force has helped keep
Guntur Kivlov: Rodrik and his men at bay.
Guntur Kivlov: With the assistance of the BAF of course.
DaKaren: *nods slowly*
Guntur Kivlov: That is all Chancellor.
Thom Jameison: *smirks*
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
Polynikes of Yew: *frowns*
Guntur Kivlov: *nods to Governor Jameison*
DaKaren: Councilor Knighthawke, does the city of Minoc have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Tanda: Thank you Chancellor
Tanda: Minoc has been quiet since the advent of Samhain
Tanda: I think the end of summer has found many turning
Tanda: toward the harvest
Tanda: and putting stuff up before the winter snow
Tanda: We're still looking for
Tanda: the missing Minoc Mining company heir
Tanda: We're doing quite well otherwise
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Warner, does the City of Britain have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Dot Warner: *nods*
Dot Warner: Britain fares well, the haughty ghost that haunted a mansion in the eastern part of the city was removed.
Dot Warner: I've heard that his son is quite committed to doing good works to separate himself from his father's lack of Virtue.
Dot Warner: The invitation-only King's Cup will be held on November 14th at 2:30pm C. That is two Saturdays from now.
Dot Warner: The formal announcement of who the contenders are will be published later tonight. Please see the Tribune.
Dot Warner: That is all. Thank you.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Jameison, does the city of Jhelom have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Thom Jameison: Thank you Chancellor
Thom Jameison: Nothing new to report business is good and our citizens are happy and safe.
Thom Jameison: Trade is increasing with our trading partners, especially Skara Brae.
Thom Jameison: That is all I have to share at this time.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Kittie, does the city of Moonglow have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Kittie: *clears her throat, shaking off the spaced out cat nap she appeared to be taking..*
John: *chuckling softly*
Kittie: Erm.. *scratches her ear* Moonglow has been quite quiet since it's last visit from Mr. Muldoon. Thankfully, he is still in custody.. so, Moonglow seems quite peaceful and profitable with nearly 300 million in the coffers!
DaKaren: Grand.
Kittie: *nods* .. Oh! .. Uh, that's all that I have for this evening. *smiles a bit embarrassingly*
DaKaren: *nods*
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Councilor Arminger, does the city of Trinsic have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Norman Arminger: Thank you Chancellor. Trinsic is quiet and prosperous.
Norman Arminger: We are negotiating a trade deal with some sister cities such as Skara Brae and Jhelom.
DaKaren: *frowns slightly*
Norman Arminger: Other than that I have no other information to share this evening.
DaKaren: Thank you, Councilor.
DaKaren: Minister Hla-ate, do you have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Malag aste: No I don't have anything though I do want to ask that folk keep an eye on Shadowguard in Eodon.
Malag aste: I have been scouting about the tribes there.
Malag aste: They don't seem to be a threat right now.
Malag aste: But I think we should keep an eye out.
DaKaren: *nods*
Malag aste: Perhaps we could bring the virtues to them....
Valeran: *raises an eyebrow*
Malag aste: Though I'd like to do more investigating before we try that.
Malag aste: That is all I had.
DaKaren: Proselytizing rarely goes over well...
Malag aste: Oh?
Malag aste: You never know.
DaKaren: I'd suggest earning their trust before attempting to sway their faith.
DaKaren: Thank you, Minister.
DaKaren: Chief Justicar Blazefire, does the High Court have anything to bring before the Council this eve?
Nevahs Blazefire: Not at this time, Chancellor.
DaKaren: Thank you, Chief Justicar.
DaKaren: Do any of the citizenry have anything to bring before the High Council this eve?
John: *raises hand*
DaKaren: Lord Knighthawke?
John: I can confirm that the Minister was found inside the Samhain house.
John: Also that he looked discombobulated.
John: Though physically he seemed adequate.
DaKaren: *nods*
John: At some point.
DaKaren: That is heartening.
John: someone, I care not who really I suppose,
John: will need to talk to him about the particulars.
John: Which at this point are rather opaque to me.
DaKaren: *nods*
Tanda: I only remember him mutter something about sewing clothes for a brothel
DaKaren: *arches a brow, tilting his head*
John: *nods*
Tanda: figures I would hold on to that tidbit
Tanda: *laughs*
DaKaren: He was held captive then, we know this for certain?
John: Yes.
DaKaren: *sighs*
DaKaren: We should allow him time to recover sufficiently before questioning him over much.
Tanda: *nods*
DaKaren: Anyone else?
DaKaren: Nay? Very well then.
DaKaren: I hereby adjourn the 472nd session of the High Council of Britannia.
DaKaren: Go with the Virtues.
