Guard meeting, 4 p.m. Saturday. Brit. Counselor Hall. Arrive armed and ready to travel. Let’s end this pirate scourge once and for all. -–Keel

There’s a red flag at the top of the note. You know a black flag is the symbol of pirates out for plunder, what’s a red flag? Then you remember an old pirate shanty about flying the “bloody flag” to declare: no quarter asked, no quarter given.
