Tanda was late in arriving

this is when I arrived outside

Eclysion: was that a maked rune?
Tanda: aye
Oona: Tanda
Chrim'Suns: The Empire is sending more men I think their patience is runig thin
Oona: A word please
Oona: *Nods and grins*
Tanda: certainly
Sven The Great: yes
Eclysion: okay i was making sure
LikaThad Ale: Thats not wise
Eclysion: Kal Por Ylem
Oona: Lady can you open the cells in the BAF headquarters?
Queen Nana: we have waited long enough for our lord
Sven The Great: thank you
Sir John: you will have to wait a bit longer
Eclysion: you are welcome
Tanda: not sure I can try
Oona: Would you be willing to try
Dartanius Storm: they are an interesting race indeed.
Trojan: That was quick.
Oona: Thank you Trojan
Oona: *Grins*
Trojan: My pleasure.
Oona: Thank you Tanda
Ren The Conjuror: Now what the *hell* was so important that it couldn't wait
Ren The Conjuror: until the end of the meeting?
Oona: *Sighs*
Tanda: Your very welcome
Tanda: forgot I once had keys
Ren The Conjuror: *Growls*
Trojan: I believe it has been taken care off.
Oona: Sorry sir

Note to self: This is where I arrived at the meeting

present were Ioshus, Dartanius Storm, Ren the Conjurer,Polynike, Ailieve, Mikhail, Chancellor Fl'Gith in the audience,Pabll,Rand Al'Thor, Simon Godwyn, Justicar Spark was absent. Uncertain about Silverbrook, Bailey and Field Marshall William

Nythrax: *nods*
Nythrax: Hello again.
Ioshus: *nods*
Mikhail O'Danyon: *nods and smiles*
Ren The Conjuror: Thank you justicar...
Ioshus: They are introducing themselves currently
Tanda: *sits queitly*
Ren The Conjuror: I still dont' understand why that couldn't wait.
Mikhail O'Danyon: Thank you for coming
Ren The Conjuror: But it's taken care of.
Ioshus: *shrugs*
Nythrax: *tilts head*
Nythrax: Shall I speak, or no?
Ioshus: Go ahead
Mikhail O'Danyon: Aye
Ren The Conjuror: Pardon the itneruption.
Ioshus: Floors yours
Ren The Conjuror: Please proceed.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *chuckles softly*
Nythrax: *shrugs*
Nythrax: Very well.
Nythrax: We are known as Legionarius Desertus, operating out of Umbra.
Nythrax: We are a collection of... like minded individuals... now seeking to make contact with outside powers.
Nythrax: To that end we attended the roundtable, and were invited here by the Justicar.
Nythrax: ...
Ioshus: Um...
Ren The Conjuror: *Tilts his head*
Ioshus: ignore it..
Ren The Conjuror: Go on.
Oona: Sorry Kalan
Kalan Galandar: Thank you.
Nythrax: *ahem*
Kalan Galandar: No problem.
Nythrax: Yes, well, we do have one bit of intersecting business with this government...
Ren The Conjuror: Does it involve a Prisoner...
Nythrax: The lich Morgana is a denizen of Umbra, and is soon to be placed on trial for assault, I believe.
Ren The Conjuror: You are the commanding officer of your Legion?
Nythrax: I am one of three, the others being Deken in the red there...
Nythrax: And the lady Cecily.
Ren The Conjuror: Before you proceed...
Ren The Conjuror: I feel it is my duty to inform you of a few things.
Nythrax: *nods*
Ren The Conjuror: As you are not natives to Britannia, perhaps our laws are not known to you...
Nythrax: Do elucidate.
Ren The Conjuror: Your meeting with the Enemy of the State Morgana was observed by the scouts
Ren The Conjuror: Inculding the mentions...
Ren The Conjuror: Of using "alternative" measures to free her...
Ren The Conjuror: Should her trial not go according to her plan.
Ren The Conjuror: Should you proceed with such an action...
Nythrax: Nonsense, where was this supposed meeting?
Omura Katsumoto: Consecrus Arma
Ren The Conjuror: *Smiles a little*
Ren The Conjuror: I am not insiuating you have done anything wrong...yet.
Ren The Conjuror: I just wish to make sure you are informed...
Ren The Conjuror: that aiding an Enemy of the State may be considered an act of war by this council.
pabII: *looks at war fork in Dekens hand*
Ren The Conjuror: Though I'm sure you would do no such thing.
Ren The Conjuror: Correct?
Nythrax: Again, where was this supposed meeting observed?
Deken: ...
Ren The Conjuror: At the moment, I do not recall I'm afraid.
Mikhail O'Danyon: *looks at Ren*
Ren The Conjuror: I do believe it was the one in which an alliance was negotiated.
Ren The Conjuror: But...do go on, what did you plan to speak of regarding the Lich before I interupted?
Nythrax: What, the meeting I had with Morgana in her home?
Nythrax: To discuss defense strategy?
Ren The Conjuror: *Shrugs*
Ren The Conjuror: As I said, I don't recall the details at this time.
Nythrax: You have agents, presumably armed, skulking about residences?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Oh good lord...
Ren The Conjuror: Where I place agents isn't really of concern, though I would not hesitate to keep an eye
Deken: *Looks back and Nods to Wrath*
Ren The Conjuror: on an *enemy of the state* who is not...a citizen of Britannia.
Ren The Conjuror: Now...we could dicuss details all evening, as I said...
Ren The Conjuror: I am not accusing you of anything.
Ioshus: Please don't...
Wrath: *remains quite stoic*
Nythrax: I see...
Ren The Conjuror: Please go on....I believe you had business regarding the Lich?
Nythrax: Surely your agents must have told you I plan to serve as her defense attorney.
Tanda: *takes notes*
Ioshus: Yes I was told before the meet...
Ren The Conjuror: Speaking of which, I don't recall the Judicial branch voting during a meet to try
Ren The Conjuror: Morgana....as she is an Enemy of the State...
Ren The Conjuror: Did this occur?
Nythrax: We sat in on the pre-trial..
Nythrax: *crosses arms and takes a posture of amusement*
Ren The Conjuror: She is afterall, a Senator of the Empire.
Ioshus: I would I found that out...
Ioshus: We have to vote to make it a military tribunal..
Ioshus: Not to try her...
Ioshus: Though I would like to talk to you about that after the meet.
Ren The Conjuror: *Nods*
Ren The Conjuror: *Turns back to the man in front of him*
Nythrax: I was rather surprised to hear the term 'enemy of the state' applied myself...
Ren The Conjuror: Why would this surprise you?
Nythrax: What I had seen led me to believe she was being tried more or less as an ordinary offender.
Ren The Conjuror: I'm sure the Justicar and I can talk about that....
Nythrax: *nods*
Ioshus: *nods*
Ren The Conjuror: Did you have anything else you wished to say?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises his hand*
Nythrax: No, our business is concluded.
Ren The Conjuror: *Looks to the back and arches a brow*
Ren The Conjuror: Yes Chancellor?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: What was Senator Morganna charged with?
Nythrax: Turel, Gaia, form up.
gaia.: certainly sir.
Cecily: *glances to wrath*
Causolus: *Waves Sarcastically*
Ioshus: Assault its all the prosecution could get a witness for.
Ren The Conjuror: *Looks at the Justicar*
Rand al'Thor: Assault?
Ioshus: *looks back and nods sadly*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Curious.
Rand al'Thor: *shakes head*
Ioshus: Thats why I would like to have a talk with Ren after the meet.
Miller: *whispers*
Ren The Conjuror: She is involved in a conspiracy to overthrow this government and invade Britannia...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head no*
Miller: *nods*
Ioshus: We need to talk....
Ioshus: hehe
Ren The Conjuror: *Nods*
Ren The Conjuror: Very well.
pabII: *whispers to Tanda*
Ren The Conjuror: Though I dread to begin this discussion....
Tanda: *leans back*
pabII: i need to speak with you after the meeting
Tanda: *Nods*
Sven The Great: *passes gas*
Tanda: ok
Ren The Conjuror: Let us address the topic that has occupied a good deal of banter on the Etheral Tome.
Sadie : *holds nose*
Ren The Conjuror: Chancellor...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Sven The Great: *starts eating a chicken leg*
Ren The Conjuror: Would you care to address concerns you may have about the legality or process of the Marshall's
Ren The Conjuror: in their proposed form?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: First, I'd like t' address the amendment o' Article Eight.
Ioshus: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I 'ave found the notes in which the amendment was passed.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'owe'er, twas passed to bring the charter into alignment wi' already made changes t'
Sven The Great: want a bandaid
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: th' court's charter, so I would ask the 'igh Court strike that amendment so that this may
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: be 'andled in appropriate manner.
Sven The Great: hi
Ioshus: *blinks*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Should they decide t' keep the amendment, 'owe'er, there's no need for discussion.
Ren The Conjuror: Meaning?
Ioshus: If not there is little need...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Meanin' that they can do as they please in regard t' the Marshalls because they already
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: managed t' 'ave an amendment passed into the Royal Charter.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Though I would personally argue the legitimacy o' such an amendment based on how it
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: occurred, I certainly amnae part o' the 'igh Court, an' cannae wave m' hands t' wipe
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: amendments.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: The notes show that the vote on amendment t' article eight occurred specifically
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: t' bring it into line wi' an already amended court charter. In other words, it 'appened
Ioshus: I don't think anyone read it...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: prior t' the amendment t' the Royal Charter.
Ren The Conjuror: *Looks at Ioshus*
Ren The Conjuror: Does the court have a response to the request?
Sven The Great: *tickles kalan*
Tanda: *raises hand*
Ioshus: I'm just stating when that amendment was passed I don't think the councilors had read the
Kalan Galandar: *slaps Sven*
Ioshus: amendment
Ioshus: It passed very... easily...
Sven The Great: *tickles sadie*
Ioshus: That’s all
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: E'en if they 'ad, the article that was amended t' the court's charter didnae match what
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: was amended t' the Royal Charter.
Ren The Conjuror: Does the Judicial branch agree to strike the amendment? Or to leave it in place?
Ioshus: I think we should let Ra finish.
Mikhail O'Danyon: *looks at Ioshus*
Ren The Conjuror: If striken it could be reinstated with a vote.
Ren The Conjuror: *Glances at the Chancellor*
Ren The Conjuror: You had more?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It stands simply as this...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If the Court leaves all as it stands, then further discussion is unnecessary, an' the Judicial
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: branch maintains a wide birth o' undefined powers that it can institute at will.
Tanda: *raises hand*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Howe'er, tis entirely in the Judiciary's 'ands.
Ren The Conjuror: Minister Tanda?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: That is all.
Tanda: I will not let Ioshus bear the brunt of this
Ioshus: *shrugs*
Tanda: the majority of that amendment was my doing as Senior Justicar
Mikhail O'Danyon: *looks over at Tanda*
Tanda: and with several years on this Council
Tanda: you learn to be the politician
Tanda: and play the odds
Tanda: The intent was to try to get some room
Tanda: to aid the Judiciary in doing their job
Tanda: finding officers to patrol the court room
Tanda: be able to have enough manpower
Tanda: to cover things..
Tanda: the intent was not to give us license
Tanda: to impose our will on all who cross our path
Tanda: though I will grant you the language
Tanda: is broad enough
Tanda: to do just that
Tanda: as I recall
Tanda: There is a never ending moan
Tanda: of the Justice system is too lenient
Tanda: and too slow
Tanda: etc
Tanda: yet there are only three
Tanda: with the addition of the field ranks
Tanda: who could address any of it
Tanda: no prosecutor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises his hand*
Tanda: Yes Chancellor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: With all due respect, it should be those areas that the Judiciary should be fillin'.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Prosecutors, legal counsel, what 'ave you.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: E'en fillin' lower branches o' the court system.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Wi' the amendment as it stands, e'en the 'igh Justicars might arrest people.
Ioshus: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: An' while that stands true if, say, Justicar Storm arrests someone as a member o' the
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Britannian Armed Forces, that too is a loophole that should be closed. As you know, a judge
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: cannot be impartial if he too is the arrestin' officer.
Ioshus: *nods*
Ren The Conjuror: *raises his hand*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: While I dinnae disagree there is a need for the martial service,
Rand al'Thor: *leans forward a little*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I do think the ultimate chain they fit under should be as a part o' the executive branch,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: That's all.
Ren The Conjuror: *Looks at hand*
Ioshus: Ren?
Ren The Conjuror: I shall now pull a Ra'dian
Ren The Conjuror: Why Yes Grand Marshall.
Ren The Conjuror: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *grins*
Ren The Conjuror: As the Grand Marshall of Virtue...
Ren The Conjuror: I cannot help but be in agreement...
Ren The Conjuror: I too agree that there is a need for security, and for a group dedicated to the arrest
Ren The Conjuror: of those who are not Enemies of the State...
Ioshus: *mutters about EoS's*
Ren The Conjuror: However, as I interpret the original meaning ot the Charter...
Ren The Conjuror: This branch should fall under Executive control, yet work closely with the Judicial branch.
Ren The Conjuror: I must also stress, that action needs to be taken to close the loophole...
Ren The Conjuror: Where a member of the Judicial branch can also serve under my command.
Ren The Conjuror: If a Justicar is a member of the armed forces, he may be faced with a conflicting
Ren The Conjuror: situation...
Ren The Conjuror: In addition...
Ren The Conjuror: I must again stress while we are on this topic.
Ren The Conjuror: That simply because someone has the ability to fight a criminal or bring them to Justice...
Ren The Conjuror: They should not be taking matters into their own hands, but contacting a member of the armed
Ren The Conjuror: forces...
Ren The Conjuror: I grow concerned by those who are allies or friends of the official members of the BAF
Ren The Conjuror: believing they are empowered to arrest someone.
Ren The Conjuror: As it stands...
Miller: *raises hand*
Ren The Conjuror: Every member of the armed forces derives their authority to arrest someone from the
Ren The Conjuror: Grand Marshall...
Ren The Conjuror: Now, on the flip side...
Ren The Conjuror: If they are a member of a local militia, with a recognized government...
Ren The Conjuror: They are certainly empowered, if entitled by their local charter, to arrest criminals
Skylar: Someone at the door.
Ren The Conjuror: who have commited local crimes....
Miller: *lowers hand*
Ren The Conjuror: Though those that have commited High crimes
Skylar: you working the door?
Ren The Conjuror: would not fall under their jurisdiction.
Ren The Conjuror: *winks at Miller as he answers his question*
Ren The Conjuror: I would think therefore...
Miller: One separate question now, Grand Marhsall
Ren The Conjuror: that if the Marshall's were to continue...
Ren The Conjuror: They should serve as member of the Armed Forces...
Ren The Conjuror: Yes Miller, your question.
Miller: For certain persons who have committed high crimes, and are caught committing a crime locally..
Miller: would they not then be under local jurisdiction as well?
Miller: If, as the Justicars have stressed...
Miller: there is a need to have more manpower, I would think that limiting jurisdictional power of the loca
Ren The Conjuror: From my own personal interpretation of the laws, yes, they could be tried twice I would assume...
Miller: *local militias would be counter-intuitive
Ren The Conjuror: both locally and for the High Crimes....though I'm not in the business of "officially"
Ren The Conjuror: interpreting the law.
Miller: *grins*
Annie: Raises hand
Ren The Conjuror: Yes?
Annie: If I may sir
Annie: in reguard to the arrest of criminals
Annie: im only a citizen
Ren The Conjuror: Nay...
Ren The Conjuror: That is who everyone of us are here to serve...
Ren The Conjuror: You are everything.
Ren The Conjuror: But please proceed.
Annie: but I do know that the Baf has not been arresting criminals until the justicars started to do so
Annie: I myself had a problem of this kind
Annie: if not for the justicar i would not have gotten help
Annie: that is all
Ren The Conjuror: You serve to reinforce a point M'lady.
Ren The Conjuror: There are those who are highly skilled at detective work...
Ren The Conjuror: We debate in this case, under whom those individuals should be acting...
Ren The Conjuror: Should the Judicial branch as it stands now...
Ren The Conjuror: Be able to issue a warrant, arrest an individual, and do their trial...
Ren The Conjuror: Now while I have great faith in our Judicial branch...
Ioshus: *smiles*
Ren The Conjuror: and know this wouldn't happen with those who currently serve...
Sadie : *raises hand*
Ren The Conjuror: Once a power is granted, the council cannot remove it...
Ren The Conjuror: Should a Justicar be selected in the future who was not as honest as those who serve now...
Ren The Conjuror: We could be faced with someone who can put their neighbor to death on a whim
Ren The Conjuror: should they decide they simply don't like them.
Sadie : *raises hand*
Ren The Conjuror: In the back?
Dartanius Storm: *breaths out hardly*
Sadie : 'Scuse me....
Sadie : I have listened for quite some time now.....
Sadie : and it seems to me
Sadie : that it would be more productive to have not passed a law....
Sadie : that would leave open ends and
Sadie : opportunity for one to take matters into their own hands.
Sadie : Although, the Justicar may have written it....
Sadie : Should not the entire council be held accountable for the passing
Sadie : of said law
Sadie : For now....
Sadie : All of the citizens
Sadie : are put into a position
Sadie : to have to defend themselves against,
Sadie : as you stated....
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Sadie : a neighbor that does not like another.....
Ren The Conjuror: If only we had your wisdom and the gift of past sight then M'lady...
Sadie : It just seems....
Ren The Conjuror: I think we have a few open positions on the council, would you like a job?
Ren The Conjuror: *Smiles*
Sadie : that there is a lack of responsibility on everyone’s part
Sadie : and it is being thrust unjustly to the Justicar....
Sadie : Are you not ALL responsible for the laws past here?
Mikhail O'Danyon: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: No, m'lady, that's part o' the problem that led to this.
Miller: I don't think anyone is blaming the Justicar
Ren The Conjuror: We are indeed, and I don't believe anyone is placing blame on any single individual.
Sadie : Well, my appologies if that is not the case...
Sadie : But, from the discussion....
Ioshus: *raises hand*
Sadie : It seems as if everyone is disgusted at what has happened....
Sadie : And yet...
Sadie : I hear no one taking responsibility.
Ren The Conjuror: It simply rests on the Judicial branch to decide if they are going to correct a past mistake...
Ren The Conjuror: If the council had reviewed the problem in greater depth the first time...
Ren The Conjuror: there would be no need for discussion you are correct.
Sadie : Maybe the council should not be the only ones to vote people into office.
Ren The Conjuror: I appreciate your honesty and passion in the matter.
Miller: *looks confused*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Maybe towns that have no governments should take the time to create them then.
Miller: *whispers to Ra'Dian*
Ren The Conjuror: I believe the Chancellor had his hand raised, then Justicar Ioshus.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Because towns that have governments have say in who represents them.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods to Miller*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Let me clarify this briefly...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: The amendment that was written to Article VIII was, at best, badly worded.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If you review the change to the High Court Charter that Article VIII was meant to emulate,
Sadie : Was it not voted on by the council?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: it had nothing to do with appointing people who might...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady, the High Court Charter is modified by the HIgh Court without say of the High
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Council. However, it is not able to add powers it dinnae already 'ave.
Sadie : But, was this a law that was voted in by the High Council?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Yes, the amendment to Article VIII was voted on by the Council.
Sadie : If you yourselves voted this into law...then what is the uproar about?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: As I started this topic with, the High Court should redact that amendment.
Sadie : Did you not read the law before passing it?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Because it is being used to enact powers it was not meant to give.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: And, no, milady, I personally did not vote it into law.
Sadie : Simply readin the law before it was passed would have saved this headache...no?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: No, it would not.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: You seem to be missin' the point 'ere.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: What was voted into law was tainted by what people believed it to be doin' at the time.
Mikhail O'Danyon: *grins to himself*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If you believe that there is an ever perfect system for creatin' laws, ye'd be wrong.
Sadie : A loophole is more than an interpretation.
Marvin: The loophole that is now apparent, was not so obvious at the time it was passed into law.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: And you don't believe such loopholes should be closed or corrected?
Sadie : Possibly because it was not read?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: No, NOT because it was not read.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Why are you intent on the fact taht you believe it was unread?
Sadie : When was it written into law?
Rand al'Thor: *sighs and leans back*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Moons ago.
Miller: Almost six years ago, right?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Round about the year 385.
pabII: *taps fingers on table*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: During the 117th meet o' the High Council.
Annie: *squirms a little in seat*
Trojan: Ma'am
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: But that dinnae mean it wasnae read, does it?
Trojan: I need to leave
Sadie : I believe that if it had been read carefully....
Sadie : it would have been apparent that it could be interpreted in the manner it is now....
Sadie : years later
Trojan: Good night Tyurcople
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If ye believe that everythin' passed into law is so easily read to cover every instance
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: o' every possibility o' every matter that arises, ye'd be wrong.
Ren The Conjuror: We can debate the past until oblivion itself...
Sadie : Is it not why we have a High Council to begin with?
Ren The Conjuror: Shall we move onto what action to take.
Ren The Conjuror: Chancellor?
Ioshus: *starts to chuckle a bit*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head and sighs*
Sadie : To watch over those things for the rest of the citizens?
Rand al'Thor: Thank the Light.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ma'am... what IS your point?
Princess Page: *sighs*
Ren The Conjuror: *Frowns*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: We are attempting to correct the issue. Would you prefer we just sweep it under the rug?
Mikhail O'Danyon: Good night all
Sadie : My point is simply frusteration........
Mikhail O'Danyon: *smiles*
Rand al'Thor: Night Mikhail.
Ren The Conjuror: I believe there is a good deal of that in the chamber...
Simon Godwyn: Night Mi'Lord
Sadie : I am concerned
Mikhail O'Danyon: Ran I must take my leave
Sadie : for my own safety
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If you expect the entire Council to be perfect visionaries at all times, ye expect them t'
Ren The Conjuror: Can we move onto a productive conversation as to how to correct the matter.
Ren The Conjuror: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: ne'er make mistakes, and you hold them to impossible standards.
Ren The Conjuror: G'night Councilor.
Sadie : No, M'lord......
Marvin: M'lady a flawed article was passed. What's done is done. What we need to focus on at this point..
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Yes, you do.
Marvin: Is correcting it in a meaningful way.
Simon Godwyn: Indeed, the Lady has had more than a fair hearing of her points...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I'm done.
Rand al'Thor: Do not argue on things you cannot change.
pabII: Lets please get on with this
Ren The Conjuror: *Frowns*
Mikhail O'Danyon: Good night Oona
Ren The Conjuror: Justicar Ioshus.
Ioshus: My turn now?
Ren The Conjuror: Yes.
Sadie : I have found the majority of this council to be very intolerant and a complete lack.....
Sadie : of patience for new advernturers....
Ioshus: *was about to talk*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Oh good lord.
Ren The Conjuror: M'lady...
Miller: *coughs*
Miller: Have you talked to the entire Council?
pabII: I find you offensive ma’am
Ren The Conjuror: We could again argue this forever...
Miller: *looks around*
Miller: I see the majority absent
Miller: *shrugs*
Ren The Conjuror: But the majority of us sit up here because we want to help...
Sadie : Seems that i was interrupted....and now i am being insulted because i have a different view.
Ren The Conjuror: Not at all because we *enjoy* bickering.
Annie: you are disrupting this meet
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: When did I insult you?
Ren The Conjuror: *Sighs*
Ioshus: That would be a perk though..
Marvin: The entire point here is that we need to *Correct* this, not debate why it happened.
Annie: please let me out
Ioshus: Anyways
Ren The Conjuror: Justicar, please continue.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head*
Sadie : The problem is not correcting it.....
Annie: sir
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *leans in to Miller*
Miller: *chuckles*
Sadie : The problem is a law being passed without being carefully considered....
Ioshus: the amendment was passed and gave the Judicial branch the right to arrest people
Ioshus: *stops talking*
Ren The Conjuror: M'lady, as I stated before, I appreciate your passion, but the hour grows very late...
Miller: *shakes head no*
Ren The Conjuror: and we are now trying to *solve* the problem regardless of how it occurred.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *sighs*
Ren The Conjuror: I trust you can appreciate that.
Sadie : You have proven to be extremely rigid to other opinions.
Ren The Conjuror: *Sighs*
Ren The Conjuror: One simply cannot win.
Ren The Conjuror: Justicar.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: What opinion is that? Good lord, m'lady, we're tryin' t' fix the issue.
Sadie : you are trying to fix the law....NOT the issue
Ren The Conjuror: Let's have order please so we can get somewhere.
Ioshus: Now from what I gather it is the councils wish that we retrach that amendment
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: What issue is that?
Sadie : It should not have been a law to begin with.
Ren The Conjuror: Chancellor...after the meet? Decourum please?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Would you like the whole Council disbanned because you believe they didn't read a law?
Ren The Conjuror: Bloody hell.
Ren The Conjuror: Enough!
Ren The Conjuror: Or I will have you both removed.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: With due respect, that's easy to say with hindsight.
Ioshus: Perhaps we should make this private...
Rand al'Thor: *blinks*
Ren The Conjuror: No..
Sadie : No, it is not easy to say.
hans noodlenogin: Banish them all to the bowels of Destard!
pabII: *shakes head*
Ren The Conjuror: Go on.
Dartanius Storm: Here now! Ioshus has the floor!
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Sorry, Grand Marshall, that's not a Chancellory power. In fact, there are no Chancellory powers.
Ren The Conjuror: ...
Ioshus: Anyways
Ioshus: I propose that amendment should definetly be revised in the from of adding text...
Ioshus: To restrict the what the judicial branch can do with it.
Ioshus: Because it is true that it grants us far too much power.
Marvin: *raises hand*
Ioshus: But I still think it should be revised instead
Ioshus: Which can be discussed on the ethereal tomes
Ren The Conjuror: Will you post the proposed changes to the ethereal tome...
Ren The Conjuror: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises his hand*
Ren The Conjuror: So that this discussion can be continued next week.
Ren The Conjuror: Two final statements.
Ren The Conjuror: Adjutant Marvin.
Marvin: Justicar Ioshus. Is it the opinion of the court that the article is unconstitutional in it's current..
Marvin: form?
Ioshus: I believe it needs to be revised yes
Marvin: So then you would agree that it is unconstitutional?
Marvin: If so, why are there apprehensions to strike the article?
Ioshus: I would prefer to discuss in on the tomes..
Ioshus: So we can get out of here sometime..
Miller: *coughs*
Ren The Conjuror: *Frowns*
Miller: I do not believe an amendment to the constitution can be perceived as unconstitutional
Miller: being that it actually changes the constitution.
Sadie : *nods*
Ren The Conjuror: Does that conclude your question Adjutant?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Actually, if the amendment illegally changes the constitution, it can.
Marvin: In that case I look forward to your response if you do not wish to do it here on the council floor.
Ioshus: I'm sure it will be interesting..
Miller: By what law may an amendment not be passed?
Ren The Conjuror: Final Statement then we shall adjourn this meet.
Marvin: Yes, that is all.
Miller: Would not the amendment ursup the law?
Omura Katsumoto: thank you
Ren The Conjuror: Chancellor Ra'dian?
Miller: *shrugs*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: The High Court always reserves the power of declaring something unconstitutional.
Miller: *grins*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: That's why it would require them to redact the amendment.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I just 'ad one item not to do wi' this current debate, if we're movin' on from it for now.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Actually, two items.
Ren The Conjuror: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: First, the scheduled debates last Monday will be rescheduled. I 'ave been, and remain, quite
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: under the weather, which is why things 'ave not been announced.
Sadie : *frowns*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Secondly, until the Council decides to sit down an' determine what manners a Chancellor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: may moderate a meetin' and conduct order... a request I've made several times... I will be
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: absent from chairing meets. I understand this puts me in danger of violating the
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: four week clause, an' if it comes to that, so be it. But my simply askin' for the issue t'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: be addressed has failed succicntly to enact any response. Perhaps this will.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank you.
Dartanius Storm: I must take my leave.
Ren The Conjuror: *Closes his eyes for a brief moment*
Ren The Conjuror: *Stand slowly*
Rand al'Thor: *taps his lower lip for a moment*
Ren The Conjuror: There remains a *large* number of issues that need to be addressed by this council before
Dartanius Storm: Evening to you all.
Ren The Conjuror: next monday.
Ren The Conjuror: I trsut that each of you will fulfill your duties, and not simply allow the outstanding issues
Ren The Conjuror: to sit without thought or action until next meet.
Ren The Conjuror: I'm the Grand Marshall, not High Chancellor, so I won't go about trying to play "dad"
Marvin: What? Did you say something Ren?
Marvin: Just kidding.
Marvin: *smiles*
Ren The Conjuror: I will simply put my faith in each of you that you will take the steps necessary
Ren The Conjuror: to insure the continued functioning of this council.
Ren The Conjuror: The last thing any of us wants is for what remains to fall into pieces.
Ren The Conjuror: We have our duties...do them.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *leans in to Miller*
Ren The Conjuror: This meet of the council is adjourned.
