187th Meeting of the High Council (Feb. 13, 2006)
OOC note, I apologize to any I missed in the meeting. Please I would like to beg, any who use the 'default text color' as their emote change it!!! You can not see it in journal. While I can see them at the moment, if I miss being able to drag your lifebar or connecting the text to a character in journal I can not figure out who you are. (for those who may not know how, it is in the options menu on your paper doll, a simple color menu like our dye tubs with a few clicks to apply and etc.)
Also,to the fact I had intended to thank and recognize Aerion for the Mid Winters Festival. It will be on the next agenda. It is not an easy feat to organize an event and your efforts and those of Whispering Wind are greatly appreciated.
In this transcript is a full account of the meeting, which is intended to keep those who could not attend up to date. If I were to take the time to turn this to minutes the summary obviously would NOT include the area where Meneldur mentions giving false information to the Drow. Therefore only those who attended or speak with some one who attends would have knowledge of this. I'm not intending to preach, but well that would be risky, sensitive information that would not be any more public than it was. I do not wish to unduly step on his character's roleplay scenario by the fact it was brought up in the Council hall. You will also likely note, I gave up fixing spelling errors and typos... just too many. Thanks to all for a wonderful meeting, there are many new avenues open for folks to find a place to participate.
Tanda: I hereby call this meeting of the High Council to order
Tanda: let the record show
Helena: reporting for duty sir
Tanda: Mayor Kimber is not available and she did deliver a ballot
Helena: *salute*
Tanda: though was not able to stay
Grey Ghostbuck: Is she alright?
Tanda: aye she herself is fine
Tanda: caring for a sick friend
Grey Ghostbuck: *nods*
Tanda: The agenda tonight is much fuller
Tanda: than I had originally figured
Tanda: so I'm going to talk fast
Tanda: if I get going to quickly
Tanda: wave a flag at me or something
Tanda: Councilor's reports
Tanda: Councilor Meneldur
Meneldur: I have several items to bring up.
Meneldur: *nods*
Tanda: asked for time on the agenda tonight
Meneldur: Tonight I bare news of grave importance.
Meneldur: Polynikes and I have spoken much on the matters dealing with Tokuno these past few days.
Meneldur: As many of you are now aware, Lady Ailieve was kidnapped by the Drow several days ago.
Grey Ghostbuck: *smiles and looks to the red headed girl next to him*
Sachi: *blinks and looks at Sir Grey*
Meneldur: When I heard of this news I quickly used my contacts within the Drow, to gain access to her and
Meneldur: Subsiquently rescued her from their clutches.
Meneldur: However not without issue.
Meneldur: As I was about to release her Tokuno showed and the chaos that ensued practically caused failure.
Meneldur: Given there was no time for political thought I opened a gate to the safest location I could,
Meneldur: The Temple.
Meneldur: She was unconcious due to the treatment of the Drow but she was safe.
Meneldur: As I stepped through the gate I was immediately threatend by the forces of Tokuno.
Meneldur: Their acts of aggression clear.
Meneldur: They quickly began harrassment and threatening me and throwing acusations of every kind.
Meneldur: Luck had it that a cooler head prevailed as a represenative of the Royal Knights appeared and
Meneldur: quelled the situation.
pabII: *wrinkles forehead in thought*
Meneldur: Had he not I am sure Tokuno would have taken to attack.
Meneldur: Polynikes had a chance to interview Ailieve and she confirmed my story.
Meneldur: And he can fill you in on the details of that interview.
Meneldur: But this was not the only act of aggression by Tokuno.
Meneldur: Just a days past they were quick to break our peace treaties and trade agreements by forceably
Meneldur: and threatningly removing a member of Maginica who had only entered the city to trade with the
Meneldur: locals.
Treybyre Heart: *Gasps*
Meneldur: He was threatend by many at sword point to leave.
Meneldur: And physically pushed through the moongate with no provocation on his part, and he was completely
Meneldur: unarmed.
Meneldur: This also brings me to a point of worry.
Lai'Kanr: *Begins to clean her nails*
Grey Ghostbuck: *winks to the girl to his left*
Meneldur: Tokuno has claimed they wish no hostility to Britannia however it is apparent by their continued
Meneldur: Acts of aggression and trade shipments that they are grooming for war.
Meneldur: If they are as they claim then why did they move so quickly to decree such aggressive acts against what they call allies and so slowly move against those who have commited the crime of
Meneldur: kidnapping a member of Britannia.
Meneldur: They have yet to release their decree of sanctuary to the Drow even after Ailieves capture.
Meneldur: These acts point to only one conclussion.
Meneldur: They are prepareing for a war and Britannia is their intended target.
Grey Ghostbuck: *looks up for a moment then grins*
Meneldur: I submit to this council that we adopt a set of emergency laws to protect our citizens and people
Leannah Lursa'a: *claps*
Treybyre Heart: *Claps*
Meneldur: against this aggressive stance by the lands of Tokuno by the following means:
Bloodcryer: *raises hand*
Meneldur: Consider any troops from Tokuno who are armed as an act of aggression.
Meneldur: If they so enter the lands of Britannia.
Ravnos: *raises hand*
Grey Ghostbuck: *laughs a bit*
Leannah Lursa'a: *raises hand*
Tanda: One moment
Tanda: I will take questions when he has finished
pabII: *shakes head*
Bloodcryer: *nods*
Meneldur: That we also consider any trade of arms or weapons of war within our lands an act of aggression
Lai'Kanr: Do we claps now? or after intermission?
Lai'Kanr: *looks around*
Meneldur: That we hold the right to inspect all shipments entering our lands.
Meneldur: From foreign entities.
Grey Ghostbuck: *grins and shake his head*
Aerion: __*sadley shakes her head*
Ujio the Monk: *raises his hand with a smile*
Meneldur: I ask that we do this quickly to preserve ourselves and stem the war that Tokuno seems to be
Meneldur: planning.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
hans noodlenogin: *raises hand*
Meneldur: *nods to Tanda*
Meneldur: I can answer questions now.
Tanda: Ravenos
Tanda: I saw your hand first
Ravnos: Mages and Wrestlers
Ravnos: are always unarmed
Ravnos: you should watch them too
Meneldur: *smiles*
Meneldur: That will be up for the council to decide the specifics.
Meneldur: But it is worth noting
Meneldur: Next question?
Meneldur: *looks at Tanda*
Tanda: Bloodcryer followed by Ujio the Monk
pabII: *raises hand*
Leannah Lursa'a: I think I was after Bloodcryer
Tanda: alrighty
Leannah Lursa'a: *rubs bony hands*
Tanda: the laday after bloodcryer then the Monk
Tanda: then Pabll
Bloodcryer: I have a question then a statement
Meneldur: *nods*
Grey Ghostbuck: *looks to the red head and grins and winks*
Sachi: *looks up at Sir Grey with confusion*
Bloodcryer: High Priest Meneldur, was the Temple of Mondain ever an enemy of the state?
Meneldur: While the question is irrelivant to the current line of questioning. The answer is yes.
Bloodcryer: *smiles*
Bloodcryer: now my statement
Meneldur: However, remember that it was as such under differentl leadership.
Bloodcryer: in such news and reports that I have recieve
Meneldur: And I am sure Polynikes can vouch when I say I have risked much for this council.
Leannah Lursa'a: *claps*
Grey Ghostbuck: *coughs*
Lai'Kanr: *Smirks spitting her nails on the floor*
pabII: *shakes head*
Polynikes of Yew: *raises hand*
Bloodcryer: I Justicar Bloodcryer a citizen of Britain, am declareing Censure, as the charter of the High
Aerion: *raises hand*
Bloodcryer: Council allows, of the Seat of Maginica and its represenitive, untill a full investagation is done
Meneldur: *raises an eyebrow then smiles.*
Sachi: *starts laughing quietly*
Bloodcryer: on the accusations of High Treason and Kidnapping
Meneldur: And you base this on what?
Leannah Lursa'a: *raises eyebrow*
Grey Ghostbuck: *grins to the red head*
Bloodcryer: you yourself have stated that you have conversed and negotiated with enemys of the state
Simon Godwyn: *nods*
Bloodcryer: *requesting rather then declare*
pabII: *nods*
Meneldur: I believe Polynikes can answer that question best for you.
Malus: .
Bloodcryer: and is such that only Polynikes the Grand marshall and the BAF
Meneldur: However I will say that the old position of the Temple has allowed me access to the Drow
Bloodcryer: have a right to do so
Meneldur: In order to gather information so that we may protect Britannia.
Bloodcryer: and in such you have confessed having dealings with the Enemy of the State?
Leannah Lursa'a: *claps again*
Tanda: *taps walking stick on the floor*
Tanda: Will you both take your seats
Bloodcryer: *nods*
Tanda: while we deal with other comments
Tanda: questions
Bloodcryer: Aye Chancellor
Tanda: Thank you
Tanda: I will work to remedy this
Tanda: or move it along
Tanda: as quickly as we can
Tanda: I believe
Leannah Lursa'a: *smiles*
Tanda: The lass in the rose shirt
Tanda: had the next
Leannah Lursa'a: Ahh yes..
Tanda: comment
Leannah Lursa'a: Sir...
Leannah Lursa'a: I clap..
Leannah Lursa'a: But not for you..
Leannah Lursa'a: *points at Meneldur*
Leannah Lursa'a: You declare that Tokuno is a warmongering nation..
Leannah Lursa'a: Yet it is YOU who threaten the peace
Lai'Kanr: Ooo Good point lass
Meneldur: Have I stated that we go to war?
Leannah Lursa'a: You did I believe go to the Council of Tokuno
Leannah Lursa'a: And embarras the Empress
Leannah Lursa'a: Disrespect their customs
Meneldur: I don't believe I said any such thing, only that we adopt law to prevent Tokuno from entering
Meneldur: Britannia aggressivly.
Leannah Lursa'a: When they had no reason to treat you unfairly
Leannah Lursa'a: And.. as a result
Lai'Kanr: *looks back*
Sachi: *looks over at the ignorant red head with a smirk*
Sachi: *raises her hand*
Leannah Lursa'a: They declare to protect their borders to you and your Temples warmongering ways
Leannah Lursa'a: If I was any honorable nation..
Leannah Lursa'a: I would boot you out off my doorstep too
Meneldur: My response is mearly this.
Leannah Lursa'a: And off of any noble and honorable council in this land
Leannah Lursa'a: You may kiss this Councils ass
Meneldur: Have you seen the Temple raise a weapon to anyone?
Leannah Lursa'a: But your words fall on deaf ears..
Treybyre Heart: *Raises Hand*
Lai'Kanr: Is he going to on about this all night
Lai'Kanr: Looks at the two beside her
Leannah Lursa'a: *takes a seat*
Tanda: M'lord Ujio
Sachi: *keeps her hand raised*
Tanda: followed by Polynike
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *coughs*
Ujio the Monk: Thank you Lady Chancelor
Tanda: Sachi and then Treybyre
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *wiggles his fingers at the Chancellor*
Tanda: *looks back*
Aerion: *shift in her seat*
pabII: *looks at Tanda*
Ujio the Monk: My only question involves the response these Lotus gentlemen made involving Lady Ailieve...
Tanda: oh and ending with our Senior Justicar
Sachi: *looks over at the Senior Justicar and then the chancellor*
Tanda: oh forgot Pabll
Aerion: *raise hand again*
Ujio the Monk: Did Sir Melendor contact the Royal Knights or did the Ninja he refers to?
Tanda: *looks to Aerion*
Ujio the Monk: Apparently they were, in fact the cooler heads.
Tanda: *giving a nod*
Ujio the Monk: The last thing I heard, was that Ailieve was the wife of Ren the Conjuror.
Meneldur: Considering the time constraints and sheer number of Tokuno that appeared they did so as I was
Ujio the Monk: If the Knights represent the cooler heads, why then did the Ninja contact them?
Meneldur: acausted at the Temple...
Meneldur: There was no time for any such action on my part.
Meneldur: They immediatly followed through my gate.
Meneldur: However
Ujio the Monk: But the ninja were able to obtain time?
Meneldur: I challange anyone who has question of my intentions to speak directly with Polynikes or Ailieve
Leannah Lursa'a: That is a weak answer.
Lai'Kanr: Oi Polynikes what is wrong with this one... War war war is all he talks about
Lai'Kanr: *points her foot on the back of his chair*
Ujio the Monk: I believe my point has been made. Thank you, Lady Tanda.
Sachi: *looks at the people talking out of turn and just shakes her head*
Tanda: Thank you
pabII: *waits patiently
Grey Ghostbuck: *grins*
Tanda: Since I have lost track of who is where
Lai'Kanr: *Blows her a kiss*
Tanda: Councilor Pabll
Polynikes of Yew: *raises hand*
pabII: thank you
Ravnos: It is Pab11 turn
Ravnos: ya
Sachi: *points over to Justicar Ra'dian and then Tanda*
pabII: my only comment
pabII: is that all we have is your word on all of this
pabII: and i baf investigate before we jump to conclusions
Meneldur: M'lady Pabll in some cases yes, this is speculation.
pabII: stop
Bloodcryer: *nods at the councilor*
Meneldur: However it is speculation based on the strange actions of Tokuno.
pabII: the only one who can properly investigate
pabII: is the baf
Meneldur: Can you tell me why the Drow are still allowed sanctuary in Tokuno?
Meneldur: After they kidnapped Ailieve?
pabII: and that is all
Meneldur: You must admit it is strange at the very least.
Tanda: Polynike your next
pabII: we have not heard from the grand marshall
pabII: on any of this
Tanda: M'lord Meneldur
Tanda: would you please take a seat here in the middle
Tanda: this may take some time
Tanda: *Smiles*
Meneldur: *smiles*
Tanda: Grand Marshall?
Tanda: Ah my little bird
Tanda: tells me
Tanda: he is meditating
Tanda: So
Tanda: M'lady Sachi
Sachi: *points to Justicar Ra'dain*
Tanda: *Nods*
Tanda: very well
Sachi: My lady, I believe the Senior justicar was before me.
Tanda: I'll come back to you
Grey Ghostbuck: Ah so your name is Sachi.
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Grey Ghostbuck: *smiles*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank ye, m'lady Chancellor.
Sachi: *smiles at Sir Grey*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I 'ave certain concerns...
pabII: smiles
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: First, I am uncertain what was said betwixt those of Tokuno at the Temple o' Mondain,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: so it would be most difficult t' judge what context it was all in.
pabII: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'owe'er it does concern me that much o' this bein' spoke against Tokuno lies with their
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: relations wi' the Drow.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: A relation that by admission the Councilor o' Magincia also possesses.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If we are to believe Tokuno guilty o' amassin' an army against Britannia simply on such
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: a relationship, one might too conclude Magincia is about t' move against the remainder
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: o' the country as well.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Now...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *holds up his hands*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I do not suggest that be th' case... simply that it is a logical leap one might take.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I am concerned that it was Magincia, and not the Armed Forces who rescued Lady Ailieve.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: An', in fact, I wonder what negotiations were made t' secure 'er release.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Now, dinnae get me wrong, as I am also curios as t' what interest Tokuno would 'ave
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: that they so suddenly appeared after Lady Ailieve's rescue.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I do admit a serious concern about protocol 'owe'er.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If the esteemed representative o' Magincia went before Tokonu's Empress an' disregarded
Sachi: *shakes her head*
Sachi: *raises her hand again*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: their protocol, one could 'ardly blame them for removin' Magincian citizens from their lands.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I know not what occurred in any o' these situations...
Ujio the Monk: *raises his hand*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: But I think takin' a pre-emptive action against Tokuno wi'out more facts is out o' line.
Tanda: *nods at the monk*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This Council should better educate themselves prior t' takin' any vote on the matter.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank you.
Tanda: Thank you Justicar
Tanda: Grand Marshall
Tanda: are you with us yet?
Tanda: *looks for a response*
Tanda: M'lady Sachi
Tanda: please
Grey Ghostbuck: *smiles to the red head*
Aerion: *hides a snicker*
Sachi: *nods to the chancellor*
Sachi: First in response to Lord Meneldur's apparent disgard for Tokuno customs..
Sachi: from someone who wasn't present at that meeting.
Sachi: *glances at the red head with a smirk*
Sachi: I will clear that up
Lai'Kanr: I think she likes you
Sachi: being I *was* there and serving the Empress of Tokuno at the time
Lai'Kanr: *Nudges the redhead*
Leannah Lursa'a: *shrugs*
Sachi: As a member of the Blue Lotus.
Sachi: Lord Meneldur did not in fact insult the Empress at that meeting.
Sachi: She actually insulted him by misunderstanding his status
Sachi: as Prime Minister of Magincia, High Priest of the Temple and
Sachi: ruler of the Desert of compassion
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *coughs at the last title*
Sachi: It was very much an issue of miscommunication.
Sachi: As well as
Sachi: the fact that reparations on both sides were at first attempted
Sachi: making the very mention of that incident completely irrelevant.
Sachi: Second.
Sachi: *pauses*
Sachi: It is not simply the word of the High Priest that we have to go on
Sachi: but also the Grand marshall when he wakes up
Sachi: I have been witness
Sachi: to many discussions between the Grand Marshall
Sachi: and the Councilor of Magincia
Arrenathian: *smiles at Tanda*
Tanda: *Smiles*
Sachi: And that every bit of information that the Councilor gains
Sachi: is giving to the Grand marshall
Sachi: and he is fully aware and approves of the Councilors contacts.
pabII: *but is it accurate or speculation*
Sachi: That is all for now, Lady Chancellor
Sachi: *smiles*
Tanda: thank you
Zetsumei Kaze: Lady Tanda
Zetsumei Kaze: This can not wait
Tanda: *looks at the man*
Tanda: Sir?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises an eyebrow*
Zetsumei Kaze: It is from the Empress
Tanda: *Nods*
pabII: *looks up at the stranger*
Tanda: Please
Treybyre Heart: *Raises Hand*
Tanda: I have her parchment of earlier
Treybyre Heart: Speaking of Protocol. . .
Tanda: I have not yet read it
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head*
Tanda: Would you please take a seat?
Tanda: and I will get to you as soon as is humanly possible
Ravnos: i take offense to "humanly possible"
Ravnos: i am an elf
Zetsumei Kaze: I suppose to tell you to read the message now
Tanda: I am only human
Zetsumei Kaze: The Empress waits for no one!
Arrenathian: *grins*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head*
Tanda: With all do respect
Treybyre Heart: What?
pabII: *smiles*
Meneldur: Apparently she cares not for our protocal
Tanda: This is not
Arrenathian: The Empress needs to learn patience
Tanda: Tokuno
Tanda: and I will get to her letter
Treybyre Heart: Maybe Britannia should teach it to her!
Tanda: as soon as the next four citizens
Tanda: I have recognized finish
Tanda: speaking
Tanda: Please
Tanda: have a seat
Tanda: *Smiles*
hans noodlenogin: Calm. Lets remain calm.
Tanda: *motions to a chair*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Why dinnae we just go get the torches an' pitchforks now?
Meneldur: *raises an eyebrow then looks around the room*
Arrenathian: Patience at the end of a sword is nothing more then spite.
Tanda: M'lord Heart
Meneldur: Justicar I do not believe that would be a wise course of action.
Arrenathian: *grins*
Treybyre Heart: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I apologize... my sarcasm wasnae drippin' enough.
Treybyre Heart: I am sorry, I was all prepared to speak against Magincia,
Meneldur: *smiles*
Treybyre Heart: And had prepared to do so,
Treybyre Heart: But after what I had just witnessed,
Treybyre Heart: I am thinking that maybe even I need to re-evaluate my own personal position on this Matter.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Treybyre Heart: An Attack on Magincia, in any Fashion,
Tanda: *noda that I've seen the Justicar*
Aerion: *shifts uncomfortably*
Treybyre Heart: Is an Attack on this Council,
Treybyre Heart: It is also an attack on the Ruling Council, that Grants this Council Government Duties,
Treybyre Heart: Which is an attack on Lord British himself,
Aerion: *whispers back Thank you*
Ujio the Monk: *shakes his head, raising his hand*
Treybyre Heart: Who gave the Ruling Council its designation.
Treybyre Heart: To begin throwing out Citizens of Britannia may not be the Cause of a War,
Treybyre Heart: But it certainly is a Cause to be suspicious of Tokuno.
Aerion: *riases hand*
Treybyre Heart: Perhaps their trading rights should be investigated,
Tanda: *nods to Aerion she is already on the list*
Treybyre Heart: And the monitoring of their Citizens travels through our Land proceeded,
Aerion: *nods*
Treybyre Heart: Before we suddenly find Tokuno Imperial Forces in this Chamber,
Treybyre Heart: Telling us that the Empress will not wait for her Vassals of this Council,
Arrenathian: *shakes head*
Treybyre Heart: To give their opinion before she makes a Ruling.
Treybyre Heart: However, I am not completely without Sense.
Treybyre Heart: I do believe the Prime Minister should be Investigated.,
Treybyre Heart: And I am Most Anxious to hear what the Grand Marshal has to say about this matter.
Treybyre Heart: Thank you.
Tanda: thank you
Tanda: M'lady Aerion
Tanda: Thank you for your patience
Aerion: My Lady
Aerion: All I hear tonight is how the Council and the Citizens of Brittiana should be wary of the true
Aerion: intentions of the lands of Tokuno, but I travel there often to work on my taming skills
Polynikes of Yew: *raises hand*
Aerion: while there I have come to learn some of the customs and views of the citizens who live and thriv
Aerion: there. They have their own reservations of uor land and our practices and beliefs.
Arrenathian: *grins*
Aerion: But to take up arms against each other without full knowledge of thier intentions is just
Aerion: Foolishness. There will always be discrimination between races. Human, elf, Dwarf, Asian
hans noodlenogin: Whats an Asian?
Aerion: Reguardless of our ancestory. I believe that we all need to walk a mile in another persons shoes
Aerion: before we can judge them honestly
Arrenathian: *frowns a bit*
Tanda: Thank you
Aerion: My Point I would ask that an investigation be brought up 1st
Tanda: *Nods*
Aerion: and possibly making a post there as Blue Lotus has done in Whispering Winds
Tanda: may I move on to the Grand Marshall now?
Aerion: aye My Lady
Ujio the Monk: If I may make a very small reminder...
Tanda: *looks to the Monk*
Ujio the Monk: I shall be brief, M'lady.
Ujio the Monk: Promise...
Ujio the Monk: *grins*
Tanda: *Smiles*
Aerion: *looks a bit forlorn*
Ujio the Monk: M'lady?
Tanda: please
Meneldur: I believe Ujio is lost for words, shall we let the Grand Marshal speak?
Tanda: I am sorry
Ujio the Monk: I would simply point out that the City of Magencia was not a part of the Empress' decree
Tanda: I thought you knew I had recognized you
Ujio the Monk: regardless of whom they choose to represent themselves.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Meneldur: But the temple is part of its citizenship.
Tanda: *Nods*
Ujio the Monk: *smiles*
Tanda: I do see you Justicar
Tanda: last two folks
Tanda: and then I'll read this letter in my pocket
Tanda: *pats dress*
Tanda: Grand Marshall
Polynikes of Yew: Thank you
Polynikes of Yew: Where to begin
Arrenathian: The beginning
Arrenathian: *grins*
Polynikes of Yew: I want to make it clear that We should not be accusing others of wanting war without proof
Polynikes of Yew: We do have the responsibility and right to protect our citizens but should use caution
Polynikes of Yew: in how we exert this right.
Polynikes of Yew: Regarding the Kidnapping of Ailieve
Polynikes of Yew: I have spoken with both Councilor Meneldur
Polynikes of Yew: and Lady Ailieve regarding this
Polynikes of Yew: as to the facts
Polynikes of Yew: she was kidnapped
Polynikes of Yew: by the Drow
Polynikes of Yew: The Councilor was trying to get her released
Polynikes of Yew: members of the Tokuno armed forces arrived
Polynikes of Yew: and The Councilor Meneldur
Polynikes of Yew: spirited her away to the Temple
Polynikes of Yew: where she was returned unharmed
Polynikes of Yew: Those are basic facts
Polynikes of Yew: I think all parties involved seem to agree on
Polynikes of Yew: correct me if I am wrong
Polynikes of Yew: The disagreement comes in the form of
Polynikes of Yew: many trying to assign evil intentions
Polynikes of Yew: to others
Polynikes of Yew: Some have accused the Councilor of acting illegally
Polynikes of Yew: *frowns*
Polynikes of Yew: I have to say that just talking to an enemy does not make one a criminal
Polynikes of Yew: and the fact that Lady Ailieve is safe relieves us all.
Polynikes of Yew: Could the Knights of Tokuno have rescued her
Polynikes of Yew: *nods*
Polynikes of Yew: I have no doubt they could and would have
Polynikes of Yew: but at a risk of her being harmed?
Polynikes of Yew: Who knows
Polynikes of Yew: As for The Councilor's actions
Polynikes of Yew: He has provided useful information
Polynikes of Yew: that has helped the Forces of the BAF
Polynikes of Yew: protect citizens
Polynikes of Yew: let me remind you all
Polynikes of Yew: that information that allowed
Polynikes of Yew: the BAF to defeat Drow troops in Trinsic with the help of the Royal Knights
Zetsumei Kaze: *looks at Polynikes*
Polynikes of Yew: soundly defeat the Drow
Polynikes of Yew: he has provided help for the council
Polynikes of Yew: As to the intentions of the Empire of Tokuno
Polynikes of Yew: I cannot say that I know what their intentions are towards our land
Polynikes of Yew: I would hope that we would let proof and wisdom guide us
Polynikes of Yew: and not get caught up in rash declarations.
Polynikes of Yew: We do need to take steps to protect our citizens
Polynikes of Yew: Remember
Polynikes of Yew: just because
Polynikes of Yew: citzens or merchants of a land might be involved in illegal activities
Polynikes of Yew: We need to be careful not to convict the leaders of those lands
Polynikes of Yew: without proof
pabII: *aye*
Polynikes of Yew: Am I concerned about some of these events ?
Polynikes of Yew: Yes
Meneldur: *nods in agreement*
Polynikes of Yew: Do I see a need for improvement in relations between Tokuno and ther Council
Polynikes of Yew: most assuredly
Polynikes of Yew: I ask you to understand that the Counilor speaks from a concern for his city and the council
Polynikes of Yew: I do not think he makes his charges without much thought
Polynikes of Yew: I would like us to have proof before we speak in this Council about war.
Polynikes of Yew: Are there any
Tanda: thank you, Justicar Fl'Gith
Meneldur: *nods again in agreement*
Polynikes of Yew: Thank you
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Where t' begin...?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I think we'll start wi' "Just talkin' to an enemy does not make one a criminal."
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: At what cost did Lady Ailieve's freedom come?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Are we t' accept that the esteemed Councilor just whisked 'er away into the night?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'ardly.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Whate'er transpired, it wasnae "just talkin'."
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: As I said before, if we are t' accuse Tokuno o' bein' in bed wi' the Drow,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: it seems to me that we must be enjoyin' some measure o' the cozy warmth as well.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: An' if we are t' believe that the continued relationship between the Councilor an' 'is ability
Treybyre Heart: *Laughs*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: t' provide information t' us agains the Drow dinnae also come at some price, then we are
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: foolin' ourselves.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I say this t' point out that we know not Tokuno's intent, but we shouldnae look beyond
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: our own borders before we accuse outwardly.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: As for protectin' our citizens...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It is my belief that any aggression against Magincian citizens 'as taken place in
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Tokuno, not 'ere in Britannia.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Our job isnae t' protect our citizens in foreign lands. Anyone travellin' beyond Britannia
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: does so of their own accord.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This isnae to say there isnae a time an' place for action, but this 'ardly seems it.
pabII: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: An' let me explain why...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It is Councilor Meneldur who stood before the Empress o' Tokuno...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: There is some decree by 'er which now names the Temple o' Mondain. The specifics, I dinnae
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: know, but I'm sure they will come revealed later.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: There exists a blurred line between the words "citizen o' Magincia" an' "member o' the Temple
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: of Mondain." If we were to ask if the Magincian citizen who was removed from Tokuno
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: also 'appened t' be a member o' the Temple o' Mondain, I imagine the answer would be, "Yes."
Ujio the Monk: *grins*
pabII: *smirks*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: No, the Councilor dinnae make 'is accusations wi'out 'eavy thought...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: 'e makes them, I believe, wi' a single word in mind.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: "Spite."
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Proof and wisdom would be nice.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Let's prey they prevail.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank you.
pabII: here here
Tanda: Now
Polynikes of Yew: mindreading elves
Tanda: *pulls a long rice paper scroll with*
Polynikes of Yew: *grins*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *chuckles*
pabII: *smiles*
Tanda: *fine decoration from the folds of her dress*
Tanda: This was delivered to me
Tanda: by a messenger
Tanda: on a winged bird like dragon
Tanda: *unrolls the scroll*
Tanda: To the people of Sosaria and
Tanda: the Rightfully seated members of the High
Tanda: Council.
Tanda: Much has reached my ears concerning two
Tanda: decrees that were ordered by myself and
Tanda: that of my Son. The Regent and High Prince
Tanda: Morimoto Nakamura. Let it be known that the
Tanda: Decree placed on those connected to the Temple
Tanda: of Mondain, and those of its followers has nothing to do
Tanda: with Those Rightfully seated as Councilors,
Tanda: or those they represent. The Temple of Mondain
Tanda: has shown a great deal of disrespect for my station
Tanda: and those of my People. The People of Tokuno are
Tanda: peaceful and are of the Highest Honor, and will not be
Tanda: subjected to this type of bantering from said Temple.
Tanda: To the High Council and those they represent,
Tanda: much like the situation said Councilors find
pabII: *raises brow*
Tanda: themselves, my sole purpose is to defend and
Tanda: protect my Empire.
Tanda: Much like the Chancellor of Virtue has not only
Tanda: for the Council, but also for the people of Britannia.
Tanda: With this said, once again, Those connected to the
Tanda: Temple of Mondain and their followers are banned
Tanda: from my Empire.
Tanda: This ban will stand until a formal apology is forwarded
Tanda: to My Person, and to the People I rule over.
pabII: *hummm*
Tanda: Secondly, the Decree that the Regent High Prince
Tanda: Morimoto Nakamura, has been greatly misunderstood,
Tanda: and twisted by a member of your High Council, the above
Tanda: mentioned Temple of Mondain. The decree was due to
Tanda: circumstances surrounding heated words towards those
Tanda: that were guest within my Empire. Nothing more
Tanda: nothing less.
Tanda: Their affiliation with the Empire of Armageddon, was never
Tanda: brought into this protective measure. It is set to those
Tanda: individuals that attended a Public meeting of the United
Tanda: Council of Sosaria.
Tanda: Once again, the Temple of Mondain, used and twisted
Tanda: the facts of the situation. Only giving evidence to the
Tanda: decree ordered by myself, Empress Miko Nakamura.
Tanda: I wish to express I will not be swayed on this matter
Tanda: concerning the Temple or her Followers.
Tanda: Empress of Tokuno,
Tanda: Daughter of the Sun
Tanda: Empress Miko Nakamura
Treybyre Heart: *Raises Hand*
Tanda: *rolls scroll up*
pabII: that clears some of it up
Tanda: M'lord Treybyre Heart
Arrenathian: *raises hand*
Treybyre Heart: Then if I am interpreting this correctly,
Leannah Lursa'a: *nods in agreement*
Treybyre Heart: The Empress of Tokuno is declaring only Members of the Temple of Mondain
Tanda: *hands the scroll to the Justicar*
Treybyre Heart: To be Un-Welcomed in her Domain.
Tanda: *Nods*
Tanda: that is what I understood
Treybyre Heart: And this Council, Judging by The Senior Justicar,
Treybyre Heart: Is questioning the Border between Mondanite and Magincian as well?
Treybyre Heart: Then I would like to say,
Treybyre Heart: Pray that the Followers of Alcornierdan, or Nexochronisis,
Treybyre Heart: Never fall into the Ill-Winds of Tokuno,
Treybyre Heart: Or perhaps we will hold another election,
Treybyre Heart: For Senior Justicar?
Treybyre Heart: This religious Tolerance from such an Esteemed Council,
Treybyre Heart: Deserves First Attention,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises an eyebrow*
Treybyre Heart: For how can we be strong against aggression,
Simon Godwyn: *blinks*
Treybyre Heart: If we are not United ourselves?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises his hand*
Treybyre Heart: Thank you.
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Arrenathian: *raises hand*
Tanda: *nods your next*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I would imagine that if the Holy Emporer o' Dracona strode into the Tokunan throne room
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' insulted the Empress, a similar response could be expected... but since the Empire o' Dragotha
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: lies outside Britannian Jurisdiction, let's let them 'andle their own affairs, an' worry more about
Sachi: *raises her hand*
Tanda: *nods to Sachi she's been seen*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: religious zeal taking 'old over a disagreement clearly between those of the Temple of Mondain
pabII: *smiles*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: and those of the Empire of Tokuno, an' nay 'ide it under the blanket term "Citizen o' Magincia."
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If this is truly about Magincia, then perhaps the Council itself should take matters into
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: their own 'ands, an' not leave them to the Councilor o' Magincia who, as I might remind this
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: chamber, is _also_ the leader o' the Temple o' Mondain.
Tanda: M'lord Arrenathain
Tanda: *Smiles*
Arrenathian: May I make a presumption?
Tanda: why not most everyone else has
Tanda: *smirks*
Arrenathian: Seeing how the Temple may have known that they have upset the empress
Bloodcryer: *raises hand*
Meneldur: *raises his hand slowly*
Sachi: *keeps hand raised*
Arrenathian: the events that unfolded would give the Temple a good opportunity to strike back at Tokuno
Arrenathian: not by themselves but with the entire baf
Arrenathian: a sort of verbal smoke and mirrors
Arrenathian: thus leading this council to war for the express purpose to make the temple happy.
Arrenathian: and possibly destroy Tokuno
Arrenathian: to me this is treasonous in itself
Leannah Lursa'a: *claps*
Bloodcryer: *nods*
pabII: *nods*
Arrenathian: allowing the BAf to do the work
Arrenathian: on false pretenses
Sachi: *looks amused and keeps hand raised shaking her head at the leaps of illogic*
Arrenathian: but then again this is all a presumption.
Arrenathian: *smiles*
Arrenathian: thank you
Tanda: Thank you
Tanda: Three more folks
Tanda: and then we must move on
Tanda: or it will be next year
Sachi: *keeps her hands raised*
Tanda: Mlady Sachi
Sachi: *smilse*
Sachi: Thank you Lady Chancellor
Sachi: First, to reiterate for those who have jumped from one leap of illogic to the next
Sachi: From someone who was an eyewitness
Lai'Kanr: *Coughs*
Sachi: At the meeting in which the first misunderstanding occursed
Sachi: The High Priest did not in fact insult the empress.
Simon Godwyn: *rolls eyes*
Sachi: he moved to closely on the platform to speak with her
Sachi: which is against the tokuno traditions
Sachi: And did not address her exactly the way Tokuno traditions call for.
Sachi: The empress took umbrage at this and blamed me
Lai'Kanr: Oi woman you said that already...Geesh someone teach that parrot another phrase
Arrenathian: I call that a lack of information in your protocal
Sachi: for the breach of etiquette and then
Ravnos: Sachi want a cracker?
Sachi: As I was saying
Tanda: *raps stick*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head*
Tanda: that is enough
Tanda: let her speak
Sachi: The Empress then
Sachi: Misaddressed the High Priest
Sachi: and insulted him in a similiar manner
Sachi: for a similiar reason -- lack of understanding of Britannian protocol
Sachi: and yes, both were my fault as the Empress decreed at the time.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: We 'ave protocol?
Sachi: *looks at the Justicar*
Sachi: Secondly
Arrenathian: *nods to Ra*
Sachi: The High Priest has not in fact called for war.
Sachi: He has called for Caution
Sachi: JUST as the Grand Marshall has done
Sachi: and for those that choose to speak out of turn and rely on personal attacks
pabII: *taps fingers on table*
Sachi: simply because they cannot present any facts whatsoever other than
Sachi: leaps of illogic and presumption
Sachi: if you truly want a witch burning, look to yourselves first.
Sachi: Thank you Lady Chancellor.
Sachi: That is all.
Tanda: *Nods*
Tanda: M'lord Meneldur
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head*
Meneldur: *nods*
Ujio the Monk: Might I ask Lady Sachi a single question?
Meneldur: Thank you M'lady
Meneldur: *waits*
Tanda: Please
Arrenathian: I did state it was a presumption.
Arrenathian: *grins*
Tanda: ask
Ujio the Monk: Lady Sachi, where do you currently reside?
Sachi: I have been forced to leave Tokuno which I considered my homeland till very recently.
Ujio the Monk: I don't thing that answered the question, my child.
Arrenathian: I must leave
Meneldur: I have listened quietly and patiently as all of you have made your comments, assumptions and
Meneldur: accusations....
Tanda: Blessed Be Arrenathain
Arrenathian: if you need me for anything I am at your beckon call
Tanda: *Nods*
Arrenathian: *smiles*
Ujio the Monk: *tilts his head at Meneldur's statement*
Meneldur: It is apparent to me that many of you would rather hear only what you wish and go by these
Tanda: *whispers thank you*
Arrenathian: *smiles*
Meneldur: continued false assumptions about myself, my intentions and my honor.
Arrenathian: No one questions your honor
Meneldur: No doubt that these assumptions are with you due to the past of the Temple.
Arrenathian: just your lack of it..
pabII: *sighs*
Meneldur: But, if you do as Polynikes and some others have done, you will look at the facts before you.
pabII: Sighs*
Meneldur: The temple has offered no act of aggression to anyone.
Meneldur: Nor have I asked for us to go to war.
Meneldur: I mearly asked that we begin to investigate the goings on of Tokuno within our boarders.
Meneldur: I do not wish a war, though some of you might disagree.
Meneldur: The information I have gathered since my time here has been for the complete saftey of this
Meneldur: council and its people.
Meneldur: Though you are quick to judge.
Meneldur: But I beg you to look at the temple, the dark lords of the past are gone. There remains nothing
Treybyre Heart: *Boos Arrenathians last remark*
pabII: *raises hand*
Meneldur: of the old temple but its foundations in the desert. The people you knew, who were destructive are
Meneldur: gone.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Meneldur: Yet again because I offer my aid you again throw accusations and claims unfounded to the Temple.
Meneldur: You inquired as to my relation with the drow and so I will offer you an answer.
pabII: *offer*
Meneldur: I have used the past of the Temple, as you have done to gain access to them with the express
Tanda: *nods that I have seen Pabll and Ra*
Meneldur: purpose of gathering information for this council which is reported to Polynikes immediately.
Meneldur: (not sure where I left off, sorry crashed)
pabII: *blinks*
Tanda: given to Polynike
Tanda: immediately
Meneldur: This information comes at a price as the Justicar had mentioned.
Meneldur: The Drow believe I am aiding them, yes, but the information they get from me is of course false.
Meneldur: They have yet to be successful against this council, and at great risk I have done this.
Meneldur: I have risked not only myself, but the Temple and Maginica.
Meneldur: And if they find out, I think you can imagine the advantage we would lose.
Meneldur: Not to mention the imminent attacks that would follow.
Meneldur: That being said.
Meneldur: I will gladly submit to this council any investigation upon me, or the temples actions.
Meneldur: But I ask that if you find no issue that you take a stand and protect our people as we are all
Meneldur: charged to do.
Meneldur: We must stand together, not devided.
Meneldur: *nods to Tanda*
Tanda: Thank you M'lord
Tanda: M'lady Pabll
pabII: thank you
pabII: i will speak as a citizen not a councilor
pabII: at this time
pabII: you say we should not be devided
pabII: but how better to devide than from within
pabII: you say nothing
pabII: of the old temple remains
pabII: what is the ring you wear on your finger sir
pabII: im sorry call me cinnacle or criminal minded
pabII: but i would win the trust of someon i wanted to devide
pabII: by good deeds and such also
pabII: but remember i speak on my behalf not yew
pabII: at this time this is my opinion only
pabII: thank you
Meneldur: You see conspirecy in every statement. Therefore no matter what I say you would not believe me.
Tanda: Justicar Bloodcryer
Bloodcryer: Thank you Lady Chancllor
Bloodcryer: At the time I would like to restate my request of censure of the seat of magincia and that of
Bloodcryer: the Councilor that sits on it
Bloodcryer: untill a full investagtion has concluded
Bloodcryer: I have neither stated any opinion
Bloodcryer: nor said anyway on each side
Bloodcryer: and thus I believe all facts about the councilors loyalty to the council and the people
Bloodcryer: Britannia
Bloodcryer: should be investagted by the justicars
Bloodcryer: thank you
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Let us be clear here...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Even I, who 'ave never served in a military capacity for Britannia,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: understand that in war there is a price t' be paid.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: There are sacrifices made t' ensure the greater good prevails.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Whate'er cost Lady Ailieve's freedom came, only those who paid it know for certain whether
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: it was ultimately useful.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I do not, for a second, believe that all information provided by Britannia to the Drow is false,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: for if it was so, the well of useful information would swiftly dry up.
pabII: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: But, as I say, I understand that there are prices t' be paid, an' nae all wars are fought
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: wi' swords and shields.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Let us also be clear on three other points...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: First, that this conversation began wi' Councilor Meneldur askin' that Tokuno citizens be
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: barred from enterin' Britannia armed...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Second, that regardless o' eyewitnesses at Tokunan meetin's an' whatever else exist,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: there exists clear an' reasonable evidence that suggests that the situation wi' Magincian citizens
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: lies not wi' Magincia as a whole but wi' the Temple o' Mondain... this evidence comes
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: in form o' a letter from the Empress 'erself.
pabII: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: And third, that Britannia already 'as measures in place t' keep an eye on what goes
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: on both within an' without its borders... they are known as the Britannian Armed Forces.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: So the real question comes to this: Do we need t' implement additional law t' single out
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: citizens o' Tokuno wi'in our lands?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: My belief on this is simple.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: No, we dinnae.
pabII: *shakes head*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: As for censurin' Councilor Meneldur, that remains up t' this Council, but I think too
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: that it is probably, much like thoughts o' war wi' Tokuno o'er protocol an' whatever else,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: is quite premature.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If it should later be proved that the Councilor is truly providin' information that could
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: lead to major issue wi' our national security...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: then certainly there should be somethin' done.
Meneldur: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: But...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: As I've said, I do believe there are prices t' be paid in war.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank you.
Tanda: Alright
Tanda: having heard
Tanda: all that we can on this subject so far
pabII: *nods*
Tanda: Justicar Bloodcryer has made a request
Tanda: as has Councilor Meneldur
Tanda: I shall ask this council to give me their view
Tanda: Do we pursure
Tanda: pursue even
Tanda: the concerns of Councilor Meneldur
Tanda: with laws limiting those who can
Tanda: come into Britannia?
Meneldur: Armed m'lday
Tanda: armed into Britannia
Tanda: sorry
Meneldur: *nods*
Tanda: and the other was?
Tanda: caravans
Tanda: the right to inspect
Tanda: Yes?
Meneldur: I mearly asked that we be allowed to search caravans that may contain weapons of war
Tanda: How say this council
pabII: *raises hand*
Meneldur: And ask them to remove them from our lands.
Tanda: do we proceed with written version or what
Meneldur: Should they contain such matierials.
Tanda: Council Pabll
Tanda: Councilor
Tanda: Thank you Councilor Meneldur
Meneldur: *nods slowly*
Tanda: Councilor Pabll
pabII: i ask M'Lady would you or anyone in here venture into Tokuno unarmed or any where else for that
Tanda: your thought
pabII: matter?
pabII: i would not
Tanda: eh, I'm a witch
Tanda: *waves fingers*
pabII: aye im a dexer
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Tanda: I have my weapons at hand
pabII: exactly
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Meneldur: I believe perhaps we as a council could find the correct wording that would allow citizens and those
Meneldur: wishing to hunt in our lands okay.
Meneldur: But those whose intent is otherwise, stay out.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I'd suggest we see somethin' in writin' before we debate further, but keep in mind that if we
pabII: you do not have to be hunting to need an arm sir
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: follow wi' a pact that bans citizens o' Tokuno from enterin' our lands wi' caravans o' weapons,
Meneldur: *nods*
Tanda: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: we effectively cut off any an' all trade that Britannia may make wi' Tokuno.
Tanda: Do I have a motion then to table this til it can be submitted in writing?
pabII: exactly Radian
Bloodcryer: I move to table this "idea"
pabII: as do I
Meneldur: *stares at Bloodcryer*
Meneldur: *raises an eyebrow*
Tanda: All in favor aye, those opposed nay
Meneldur: *sighs*
Simon Godwyn: Aye
pabII: aye
Meneldur: In favor for tabling or proceeding?
Tanda: This is a temporary act
Tanda: til it is written
Tanda: tabling
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ver' 'ard t' vote on a document that 'asnae been written.
Leannah Lursa'a: *whispers to Ujio*
Tanda: aye
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Write it up, an' let the Council deliberate from there.
Leannah Lursa'a: Isnt Newcastle IN Britannia?
Meneldur: I believe we should have it in writing, but it should not be forgotten.
Tanda: ok
Tanda: then we will come back to it
Meneldur: *nods*
Tanda: when it has physical form
Tanda: in a written document
Tanda: As for the request to Censure
Leannah Lursa'a: And Tokuno trades with Newcastle..
pabII: then we are to disarm all britanian citizens also to make it fair?
Tanda: the seat of magincia
Tanda: pending an investigation
Leannah Lursa'a: *nods*
Tanda: Do we proceed with the censure process?
Tanda: or go informally
Tanda: and investigate
Tanda: without such?
Tanda: This is your Council
Tanda: Cities
Simon Godwyn: Investigate...
pabII: investigate
Tanda: Then the request for censure
Tanda: will be put off
Tanda: pending investigation
Tanda: into the accusations all around
Tanda: M'lord Polynike
Polynikes of Yew: Yes Chancellor
Tanda: I hope this does not create undo burden
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Tanda: was there a consensus
Tanda: on the votes
Tanda: gathered
Tanda: for Grand Marshall?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: There was, howe'er, i need each seated Councilor to ratify the results.
Tanda: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: If ye will each review the votes contained, an' then on the page so indicated, sign,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I shall announce the results.
Tanda: Thank you
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: The results are in the bottom right of the pack.
Tanda: I do have a spare scroll if need be
Tanda: While we're doing that
Tanda: Lore Denin
Tanda: sent by messenger
Tanda: a note telling me he would not be able to attend
Tanda: but that the True Britannians
Tanda: face a war on two fronts now
Tanda: with the Shadowlords
Tanda: and those who serve Minax
Tanda: They are hopeful that the Council of Mages
Tanda: may come to their aid
Tanda: this remains to be seen
Tanda: The shadowlords still have the upper hand
Tanda: I had been approached by a gentleman
Tanda: asking me
Tanda: if there was an availability
Tanda: for seats within Britannia
Tanda: on the feluccan front
Tanda: Our charter only defines Britannia
Tanda: but not which facet
Tanda: Therefore if the Justicars could deliberate this
Tanda: I would like to be able to give him an answer
Tanda: if he returns
Tanda: In the way of announcements
Tanda: the debate for Chancellor of Virtue
Tanda: is coming up
Tanda: Feb. 22
Meneldur: *nods to the justicar*
Tanda: 8 pm central skies
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods to Meneldur*
Tanda: here
Tanda: You have time to apply
Tanda: in the public chamber
Tanda: in the reform section
Tanda: until Feb. 21st
Tanda: you must be present at the debate
Tanda: Voting again will be public
Tanda: and on Feb. 27th
Tanda: same procedure as tonight
Tanda: roughly
Tanda: *inhales*
Tanda: ok
Tanda: Has the vote been tallied?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: One moment... clarifyin' somethin'...
Tanda: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lady Chancellor, the vote 'as been ratified by the seated Councilors o' this Council.
Tanda: and the result?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I, Senior High Justicar of Virtue of the High Court of Britannia do confirm an' avow that
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I 'ave counted sixteen votes in favor of Polynikes of Yew to take office as the Grand
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Marshall o' Virtue, and that no votes were placed in favor o' another candidate, nor
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: votes placed against 'im. Thereby, wi' unanimous vote o' all who cast their votes in this
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: election, Polynikes o' Yew is 'ereby named Grand Marshall Elect of the High Council
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: o' Britannia.
Trilon: *claps*
Tanda: *claps*
Sachi: *smiles*
Simon Godwyn: *claps*
Sachi: *claps*
Tanda: Would you like to swear him in?
pabII: *claps*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *frowns*
Meneldur: *smiles*
Tanda: Or I can
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Is that my job too?
Polynikes of Yew: *smiles*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *chuckles*
Tanda: Please M'lord
Tanda: stand and raise yer right hand
Polynikes of Yew: *raises hand*
Tanda: Do you hereby vow to uphold the laws of Britannia?
Polynikes of Yew: I do.
Tanda: To serve and protect the people of this realm to the best of your ability
Polynikes of Yew: I do swear to do so.
Tanda: To be mindful of those who serve under your command
Tanda: and to place the good of Britannia
Tanda: in the forethought
Tanda: of your dealings
Tanda: with those you encounter
Tanda: and to fulfill the duties of your office as listed
Tanda: in our Constitution
Polynikes of Yew: I do
Tanda: thank you
Tanda: I then welcome you to the position
Tanda: as Grand Marshall
Polynikes of Yew: Thank you
pabII: *claps*
Sachi: *smiles*
PRINCESS PIPER: *Claps*
Tanda: I got more 'I do's' than Willa
Tanda: I'll bet
Tanda: *Smiles*
Polynikes of Yew: *laughs*
Polynikes of Yew: *shakes head*
Tanda: well maybe not
pabII: was thinking the same thing
Tanda: *Giggles*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *chuckles*
Sachi: *blinks*
Polynikes of Yew: *grins*
PRINCESS PIPER: *giggles*
Tanda: If no one has any other items
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: By the power vested in me, I hereby pronounce you man an' wife.
Tanda: *looks around*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *snickers*
Tanda: anyone?
pabII: hehe
Tanda: *laughs*
Sachi: *eyes widen*
Tanda: Just what he needs another wife

Sachi: *looks around the room*
Tanda: I call this meeting to a close
Tanda: we're adjourned
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *phew*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: An' they accused me o' runnin' long meets.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *grins*
Ujio the Monk: *tries to stand*
Tanda: *Smiles*
Polynikes of Yew: hmm
pabII: *salutes* congratulations sir
Polynikes of Yew: I think Justicar
Tanda: *stretches*
Ujio the Monk: I need a healer for my rump....
Polynikes of Yew: you were convicted of that
Polynikes of Yew: *grins*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Hey now!
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I'm still in the chamber!
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *grins*
Polynikes of Yew: *smiles*
Tanda: I need me a bigger stick
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Congratulations, 'owe'er, m'lord.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *smiles*

Treybyre Heart: *Smiles*

Treybyre Heart: Excellent debate tonight.
Treybyre Heart: When it runs this long, you know it means good things are cooking.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Certainly, m'lady.
Treybyre Heart: Good night, all.
pabII: privately?
Tanda: Night

Polynikes of Yew: Good night
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Will my office work?
pabII: fine
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I 'avenae moved it down the street yet...
Polynikes of Yew: Good evening
