193rd Meeting of the High Council (3/27/2006)
Tanda: Welcome to the High Council
Tanda: I'd like to call this meeting to order
Zeph Wightfyre: *looks around*
Tanda: Are there any items of old business this evening?
Tanda: Any items from members of the Council?
Zeph Wightfyre: *folds his hands neatly in front of him, diverting his attention fully toward Tanda*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks over at Councilor Meneldur and waits for him to start speaking*
Meneldur: *leans forward and interlocks his fingers with a benignly amused look at Ra'Dian*
Zeph Wightfyre: *looks around the room now, shifting his mouth from side to side*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *leans back in his chair, stretches out his arms, clasping them behind his neck and smiles widely*
Tanda: All right seeing none
Tanda: I'll move on to new business
Zeph Wightfyre: *nods promptly, looking back to Tanda*
Leon DeLucsil: *raises hand*
Tanda: M'lord DeLucsil
Leon DeLucsil: *bows head*
Leon DeLucsil: a few days ago myself and my wife were hit by tragedy
Leon DeLucsil: Our daughter, LaDarkest storm, has gone missing, and we have very good reason to believe she is in great danger
Zeph Wightfyre: *looks at Leon, tilting his head*
Leon DeLucsil: We beg everyone here to please, please watch for her
Zeph Wightfyre: *nods*
Princess Page: *starts to tear up*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Setatabon: *takes Pages hand*
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: M'lord, could ye tell us when she disappeared, an' where she was last seen?
Leon DeLucsil: She disappeared this past Saturday
Leon DeLucsil: and was last seen at our home
Leon DeLucsil: in her bedroom
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: This be in Yew, I presume?
Leonidas: excuse me sir
Leon DeLucsil: the forests of Minoc actually
Kemmler: *looks over*
Leon DeLucsil: my wifes home
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ahhh...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *makes a note*
Leonidas: please disarm
Leon DeLucsil: she may not be of sound mind
Rand al'Thor: Can you please disarm your staff there My Friend
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Thank ye, m'lord. It at least gives folks a start as t' where t' begin lookin.
Kemmler: *sigh*
Leon DeLucsil: Thank you
Rand al'Thor: And the hood Master Stranger.
Leon DeLucsil: She wears a fire robe
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Nae o' sound mind?
Kemmler: My my
Leon DeLucsil: and a ice white cloak most days
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: What makes ye believe so, m'lord?
Kemmler: Such high security
Rand al'Thor: *nods to him with a grin*
Leon DeLucsil: She looked at a family heirloom which she was not trained to handle
Rand al'Thor: Thank you M'lord. For your safety and ours.
Rand al'Thor: *folds hands behind his back*
Leon DeLucsil: I will not give the details of that here
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *nods*
Leon DeLucsil: Needless to say it is very dangerous if used unwisely
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Knowledge that mystical forces may be involved is good t' know though.
Leon DeLucsil: *nods*
Leon DeLucsil: I beg you all, please help us find our daughter
Leon DeLucsil: *tears up and sits back down*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I will issue a bulletin this eve throughout Britannia.
Tanda: We shall do our best to help in finding her
Tanda: Any other items of new business
Polynikes of Yew: *raises hand*
Tanda: Grand Marshall
Zeph Wightfyre: *looks to Polynikes*
Polynikes of Yew: *sighs and Looks to Imadii*
Polynikes of Yew: I was informed yesterday
Polynikes of Yew: that the Amirah
Polynikes of Yew: of Nujel’m as indicated that she no longer can accept any
Polynikes of Yew: aid from the Yew Militia
Polynikes of Yew: nor any of the BAF
Zeph Wightfyre: *looks to Imadii, and then back to Polynikes*
Polynikes of Yew: in defense of her Island against the Empire.
Polynikes of Yew: I am sure when she is available
Polynikes of Yew: she can answer any question we might have.
Polynikes of Yew: That was the essence
Polynikes of Yew: of the message I received
Rand al'Thor: *pats his friend's shoulder*
Polynikes of Yew: That is all I can report
Leon DeLucsil: *looks up*
Polynikes of Yew: regarding the situation.
Leon DeLucsil: *smiles a bit*
Princess Page: *looks back at Rand and nods*
Rand al'Thor: *smiles to Page and nods*
Tanda: Any other news?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Tis more o' a question...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: As th' 'alls o' the 'igh Court were screamin' that they needed t' be swept afore the
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: conclusion o' the last meet, I was curious if Councilor Meneldur e'er took it upon 'imself
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: t' apologize on be'alf o' Britannia fer 'is insultin' comments about the Tokunan Empire's leadership.
Leon DeLucsil: *looks to his wife and squeezes her hand*
Zeph Wightfyre: *chuckles*
Meneldur: *continues to watch Ra'Dian with a benignly amused look upon his face*
Tanda: If so it was done outside the Council chambers
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *grabs the candleabra so that his eyes have a menacing, candle-lit glow to them*
Zeph Wightfyre: *chuckles*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *waves his fingers at Meneldur and mutters "ooga ooga booga"*
Leonidas: *watches the Justicar closely*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *puts the candelabra back down*
Kimber: *hides a giggles*
Rose: *giggles*
Zeph Wightfyre: Hey, this is beginning to get a bit interesting.
Leonidas: *relaxs a bit*
Zeph Wightfyre: *smirks, leaning back some, glancing from Meneldur to Ra'Dian*
Setatabon: *bites his tongue*
Meneldur: *smiles amusedly*
Kemmler: *yawns*
Kimber: at least they play well with one another..
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I propose then that th' Council vote t' mandate such an apology be given by the Councilor.
Zeph Wightfyre: I'd second that, Ra'Dian, but, well, happenstancely it wouldn't matter if I did.
Zeph Wightfyre: *smirks jokingly*
Meneldur: *continues to smile with a mild amused expression on his face*
Tanda: Councilors how do you feel about the proposed request?
Meneldur: So.....
pabII: i agree
Meneldur: *his face finally turns from an amused look*
Meneldur: Of course you do Pab...
Meneldur: We all knew you would.
Zeph Wightfyre: Well, the party representing the Howling Voice can openly say this.
Meneldur: However...
pabII: *smiles abit*
Zeph Wightfyre: Meneldur’s awkward creepy grin is beginning to scare the hell outa me.
Zeph Wightfyre: *smirks arrogantly*
Meneldur: I do not believe it is the councils right to force someone to "apologize" for their opinions.
pabII: if you are representing this council it is
Meneldur: However you may vote for such a proposition and continue to waste the council's time with further
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ye should re-read the constitution ye 'ave sworn t' up'old then, m'lord.
Setatabon: When you represent the whole of the people of the Council they I think that they can.
Meneldur: What was it you called it last meeting Ra'Dian...."Temple Mongoring"?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *chuckles*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I'm sorry...
Meneldur: I find it ironic....
Meneldur: *smiles amusedly again*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I failed t' notice the sign 'angin' around yer neck that read, "Temple o' Mondain."
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I _thought_ I'd asked Councilor Meneldur t' apologize.
Meneldur: Ahh but it has much to do with it...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Might be difficult t' force a few stones t' speak, though, given yer demeanor,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: it might actually be easier t' conjure.
Meneldur: You prejudice, just like Pab's here stems from the fact that I am in the Temple.
pabII: a*raises hand*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Not at all.
Zeph Wightfyre: *laughs*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I am prejudiced against a member o' this Council openly insultin' a foreign government
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: wi' which we currently enjoy an amicable relationship as a nation.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: But please, let's make this about the Temple... I'm in need o' new smoke an' mirrors for m'
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: parlor tricks.
Meneldur: *smiles benignly*
Meneldur: It appears you have issues to work out then.
Polynikes of Yew: *raises hand*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Aye, clearly tis me... I'm the one runnin' at the mouth t' foreign dignitaries.
Meneldur: Perhaps a babbling potion will make you more understandable.
Tanda: Grand Marshall
Rose: Hey don't they have to raise their stubs??
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks at Rose and chuckles*
Polynikes of Yew: To me it seems that the issue is that
Meneldur: Or perhaps if you would take your own advice and stick to issues that are truely worthy of this
Meneldur: council's time.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *looks at Meneldur*
Meneldur: *smiles again*
Polynikes of Yew: Councilor Meneldur as a representative of this body
Polynikes of Yew: insulted
Polynikes of Yew: Leonidas
Polynikes of Yew: if the Councilor
Polynikes of Yew: from
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Aye, surely yer maintainin' an air o' propriety is nothin' this Council should concern itself wi'.
Polynikes of Yew: Magincia
Polynikes of Yew: cannot yield the floor
Polynikes of Yew: when it is dictated
Polynikes of Yew: by the chancellor
Polynikes of Yew: would you restrain
Polynikes of Yew: the mouthy
Polynikes of Yew: individual
Polynikes of Yew: *glares at Meneldur*
Polynikes of Yew: I do believe I have the floor?
Tanda: Aye
Polynikes of Yew: is that correct Chancellor?
Polynikes of Yew: I would appreciate
Polynikes of Yew: you showing
Polynikes of Yew: some decorum
Polynikes of Yew: here
Polynikes of Yew: even if you don’t
Polynikes of Yew: when visiting
Polynikes of Yew: forgiven dignitaries
Polynikes of Yew: as I was saying
Polynikes of Yew: I feel that the Councilor
Polynikes of Yew: represents this council
Polynikes of Yew: his actions
Polynikes of Yew: reflected poorly on this council
Polynikes of Yew: and did not
Polynikes of Yew: represent
Polynikes of Yew: the bodies
Polynikes of Yew: collective attitude
Polynikes of Yew: or position
Polynikes of Yew: an apology is in order
Polynikes of Yew: failing that
Meneldur: *continues to watch an a calm amused expression on his face*
Polynikes of Yew: Pab is prepared to call
Polynikes of Yew: for a vote of censure
Polynikes of Yew: that is all
pabII: aye
Polynikes of Yew: dammit
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head at Meneldur and eyes him with sincere pity*
Meneldur: *smiles*
Meneldur: A censure for attempting to insure caution and security....
Meneldur: Well if you wish to remove Magincia that is of course your choice.
pabII: *raises hand*
Tanda: Councilor Pabll
Meneldur: However it would be a pity should you make such a drastic step.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Tanda: Councilor Meneldur please yield
pabII: If Meneldur will shut up long enough
Zeph Wightfyre: Ooooh.
Zeph Wightfyre: *grins, leaning up some*
Meneldur: So I am not aloud to defend myself?
pabII: I just want to say
pabII: Oh my Gods
Polynikes of Yew: *motions to Leonidas*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Raise yer bloody 'and an' take yer turn.
Tanda: You can when recognized by the Chair
pabII: are you quite done
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *sighs*
Leonidas: *watches Meneldur*
Zeph Wightfyre: *shakes his head, looking to Imadii*
pabII: You talk of yourself and
Zeph Wightfyre: *grins*
pabII: as Magincia as one entity
pabII: we can remove you and keep Magincia you are merely a representative
pabII: as am I
Polynikes of Yew: **smiles and nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head at Imadii and sighs a little more*
Imadii: *leans forward and whispers*
pabII: now I for one am appalled at your actions and I demand an apology or I will request censureship
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *leans back*
pabII: that is all
Imadii: *Pats his shoulder with a sigh*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *smiles a little and leans back forward*
Zeph Wightfyre: *rubs his forehead*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Chancellor, one brief statement afore the Councilor "defends" himself against 'is own opinions.
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Councilor Meneldur, as a representative o' Britannia, tis yer duty t', regardless o' yer opinion,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: conduct yerself in a manner reflective o' the peoples o' Britannia.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: An', censureship dinnae equate removal.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Censureship is used fer many things... removal from office, issuin' a demand o' action,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: such as an apology, or e'en removin' immunity t' trial.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: All o' this would be irrelevant if ye'd get o'er yer own pride, realize yer conduct last week
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: was not statesmanlike, an' ye simply issued an apology as Councilor o' Magincia fer yer conduct.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It is you, not us, who cannot separate Councilor Meneldur from th' Temple o' Mondain,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' I fear that until ye do so, yer conduct will continue t' be unstatesmanlike in issues that
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: ye 'ave a strong opinion in.
Tanda: Thank ye Justicar
Meneldur: *smiles*
Tanda: Councilor Meneldur ye have the chance to answer now
Meneldur: *smiles*
Meneldur: *folds his arms into his robes*
Meneldur: I believe there is something this council has simply overlooked....
Zeph Wightfyre: *looks at Meneldur, tilting his head*
Meneldur: The fact that I have on several occasions attempted to make peace with Tokuno and have
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *leans back*
Meneldur: Had each attempt been continually brushed aside...
pabII: *shakes head*
Meneldur: Tanda has witnessed this first hand.
Meneldur: As she had mentioned last week.
Meneldur: Nor have my comments been anything more than a cautionary stance against those I believe plotting
Meneldur: against this council.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Tanda: *nods he will be next*
Meneldur: I have yet to hear anyone make such a commotion to this council about all the unbased and
Meneldur: unfounded accusations against the Temple. Like it or not the Temple is a political power as well
Meneldur: Seeing as it conducts the Desert of Compassion.
Zeph Wightfyre: *chuckles*
Meneldur: But you do not hear me wasting my time with demands of apologies...
Meneldur: You wish to censure and threaten to remove me from this council...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head*
Meneldur: That is of course your choice to force a cessation of Magincia....
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *rubs his eyes and then his temples*
pabII: no
Zeph Wightfyre: *nods promptly*
Meneldur: It is not my wish.
pabII: not Magencia only the representative in office now
Meneldur: But I have been elected by the people of Magincia as their leader and like it or not that body
Meneldur: consists of the Temple of Mondain.
Meneldur: In the majority.
Zeph Wightfyre: *nods*
pabII: *raises hand*
Meneldur: We will not be threatened when our intention has been the safety of this council and Britannia.
Tanda: *nods to Pabll I have her on the list*
Meneldur: And I see this as a poor way to repay the aid I have offered at great personal risk to this
Meneldur: Council.
Meneldur: You waste continual time attempting to persecute the Temple for whatever wrongs you feel we
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *laughs*
Meneldur: have done against you. Yet you can offer no proof of any of this from the current Temple.
Meneldur: I can however offer plenty of proof of my aid to this council that has bennifited on more than
Meneldur: one occasion it's safety.
Zeph Wightfyre: Hmm...
Meneldur: Need I remind you of the fore warning defense needed against Trinsic Polynikes....
Meneldur: *looks sternly sideways*
Rand al'Thor: *raises hand*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *rolls his eyes*
Meneldur: Or all the information on the Drow I had been able to offer you when you needed it.
Tanda: *nods to Rand he has been added*
Polynikes of Yew: *wearily raises hand*
Meneldur: Or information on Asimov and the Atalan...
Meneldur: Yes but this is uncounted among my aids.
Tanda: *smiles at Polynike, he too is in line*
Meneldur: Instead you focus on pre-determined dispositions of wrong doings that you have yet to come forth
Meneldur: with any solid proof so you resolve yourselves to forcing issues of "Appologies" because you can
Meneldur: find nothing better.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *chuckles*
Meneldur: THAT is the true insult, a waste of my time and this councils.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *shakes his head with a smile*
Meneldur: If you wish to force me off this council, I assure you I will protect Magincia fully.
Grey Ghostbuck: Hello my friend
Tanda: I have a long list of folks waiting to speak
Grey Ghostbuck: *grins evily*
Tanda: But I'm going to take a liberty here
Tanda: I have witnessed Sachi and some other male member of the Temple
Tanda: attempt to offer a gift and speak to the Soke of Tokuno
Tanda: and while the Empress was missing they were quite
Tanda: unmotivated to accept or speak to them.
Tanda: However,
Tanda: *looks to Meneldur*
Tanda: That is no excuse
Tanda: for referring to their leadership as ignorant
Tanda: While sitting in office as Councilor of Magincia
Tanda: you are to reflect this body and Britannia in a positive light
Tanda: insulting members of the royal family
Tanda: and governmental dignitaries
Tanda: even if you personally do not like them
Tanda: or agree with their policy, culture what have you
Tanda: is a breech of your duties
Tanda: This council cannot demand
Tanda: they accept your apology
Tanda: but we DAMN sure can demand you at least offer it
Tanda: in sincere written form
Zeph Wightfyre: That is ridiculous.
Zeph Wightfyre: Imadii, Kimber.
Zeph Wightfyre: Have a nice evening.
Meneldur: It has been offered as I said and they declined. I will waste no further breath or energy with them
Imadii: *Wrings her hands for a moment*
Meneldur: If you feel that my wish for caution with them was "insulting" them
Meneldur: So be it.
Tanda: Your refusal is so noted
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *raises hand*
Tanda: Justicar Fl'Gith
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: *pulls out a tome*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I'm sorry, Councilor... I just dinnae see how,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' I quote,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: "To think so only shows the ignorance an' foolishness o' yer leadership,"
Meneldur: *smiles*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: is any sort o' "cautious" statement whatsoe'er.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It is a blatant insult.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: It was spoken in this chamber.
Tanda: *Nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: By you.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: At the last meeting.
pabII: *nods*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: An' you 'ave NOT offered an apology to them for it.
Meneldur: And can you tell me the exact "Insulting" words I used?
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ye can wave yer 'ands
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: ...
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: A'ight... let me put it in terms ye may understand, an' then I shall be done wi' this issue.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Councilor Meneldur...
pabII: *thinks to self *
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Yer inability t' accept responsibility fer yer own actions,
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: an' t' set aside yer pride t' offer an apology for mispoken words
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: while servin' as a Councilor o' this High Council
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: shows both the ignorance an' foolishness o' yer leadership.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: That is all.
Meneldur: I see that you wasting my time with this issue as insulting....should I ask for an appology?
Meneldur: Or their comments to the Temple insulting....should I ask for an apology from them as well?
Imadii: *smirks*
Meneldur: *smiles*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ye can ask them whatever ye like.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Grow up, an' pull yer 'ead out o' yer ass.
Meneldur: Strange comments coming from you Ra....
Polynikes of Yew: *looks at the Jusicar in surprise*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Ye'll get an apology fer that as soon as ye become man enough t' issue one o' yer own.
Tanda: The Temple and your job as Councilor are two different things
Rand al'Thor: Oh Boy...
Meneldur: *smiles*
pabII: *raises hand*
Tanda: Now if ye will pipe down a minute have others to
Tanda: give the floor too
Tanda: Councilor Pabll
Meneldur: True but the Temple is also a political entity...
Tanda: not on this Council
Meneldur: The Justicar just made plenty of insults towards it...
pabII: Well as to the temple being Magincia
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: No, just to you.
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: But I forgot, ye are a temple.
Rand al'Thor: *looks over*
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: I'm done wi' this.
Meneldur: Ahh so we ignore certain issues but not others...
Tanda: Pabll
Meneldur: I see...
Kael Silverberg: *nods*
pabII: I just would like to say I have many friends and relatives who live in Magincia who do not belong
Ra'Dian Fl'Gith: Back t' sweepin' floors.
pabII: to the temple
pabII: and the temple and Magincia are 2 separate entities
Meneldur: But both are political entities Pab...
Meneldur: Magincia and the Desert of Compassion.
pabII: Im growing weary of this whole matter as I’m sure many here are
Meneldur: I did not bring this issue up....
Meneldur: I was content to stay quiet.
pabII: and weary of the councilor evading everything said and turning it to something elsethat is all
Tanda: *Nods*
Tanda: M'lord Al'Thor
Meneldur: Then grant your censure as you wish to do.
Tanda: or did he leave?
Meneldur: Kick me from the council I know you are planning.
Tanda: Grand Marshall
Meneldur: And force the cessasion of a city for the first time in the history of the High Council.
Kael Silverberg: Hmm...
pabII: of the city??
Kael Silverberg: *looks to Meneldur questioningly*
pabII: *he is delusional*
Meneldur: *smiles*
Tanda: Polynike?
Polynikes of Yew: yes Chancellor?
Tanda: Your turn
Polynikes of Yew: *smiles and waves hand *
Polynikes of Yew: I think I will pass at this point
Tanda: *Nods*
Polynikes of Yew: enough has been said
Tanda: Then I will attempt one last time here
Tanda: Not long ago I traveled
Tanda: a ways to meet and speak with an old family friend
Tanda: Abbot O'Shea
Tanda: a quite elderly gentleman now
Tanda: we had a long talk about where I've been since last he saw me
Tanda: He spoke to me of his readin' news from these meetings
Tanda: and told me it reminded him of a day
Tanda: back when he was still preachin'
Tanda: A lass walked into the Chapel
Tanda: during services
Tanda: heads turned as the door opened
Tanda: and stayed turned
Meneldur: I'm sorry, but does this have relevance?
Tanda: Aye
Kael Silverberg: *chuckles*
Tanda: and I'll thank ye to let me run the meeting
pabII: *looks insulted to Meneldur*
Kael Silverberg: *smiles politely, watching Tanda*
Tanda: Heads stayed turned as the lass
Tanda: who walked in was a common whore
Tanda: many in town knew her
Tanda: she set tongues ta waggin
Tanda: and wives to pokin' at their staring husbands
Tanda: She showed up every service
Tanda: from that day forward
Tanda: gave up her past
Tanda: helped aid the poor
Tanda: yet tongues wagged
Tanda: Ye see what and who we are in the past
Grey Ghostbuck: Ahem
Tanda: is nae so easily erased?
Grey Ghostbuck: *looks back*
Tanda: or forgotten
Kael Silverberg: *sighs and shakes his head*
Grey Ghostbuck: Watch the cloak
Grey Ghostbuck: if you my dear.
Kael Silverberg: *looks to Tanda impatiently*
Tanda: even with deeds ye try to repair it with
Meneldur: *watches Tanda benignly*
Tanda: The Temple
Tanda: for many is that whore in church
Tanda: a strong past
Tanda: steps toward a better future
Tanda: tempered by a lot of old memories
Tanda: and doubt
Kael Silverberg: *clears his throat loudly*
Tanda: M'lord
Tanda: *turns and looks at the gentleman*
Kael Silverberg: *smiles*
Tanda: Ye have business?
Tanda: also two hands I see
Kael Silverberg: I would simply like to say, in regards to your lovely story there.
Kael Silverberg: That I do not believe many in this building currently needed that critical lesson in life.
Kael Silverberg: Lady Chancellor.
Kael Silverberg: *smiles politely*
Tanda: Critical?
Meneldur: *smiles with an amused expression*
Kael Silverberg: *smiles*
Kael Silverberg: Yes, Very critical.
Meneldur: Tanda, I will not change my mind.
Kael Silverberg: Because you see, our past does define us, you are right.
Kael Silverberg: But we have all made our mistakes.
Kael Silverberg: However.
Grey Ghostbuck: *fingers his dagger*
Meneldur: And it is apparent that corruption in the council is rooted deep
Rose: *whispers in a stage whisper*
Meneldur: To allow such trivial matters to monopolize my time.
Kael Silverberg: *looks to Meneldur*
Meneldur: Or the time of those in this chamber.
Meneldur: I believe you are to vote on my censure.
Rose: why does the grand marshall have all these women next to him and why is that man in black
Rose: Behaving like a bandit in the high council chambers?
Tanda: The insult of a foreign government is not a trivial matter
Meneldur: Please do so if you will so that we may waste no further time.
Kael Silverberg: I fail to see the error in Mr. Meneldur’s actions...
pabII: really we are wasting time to think you have changed at all
Meneldur: Because we know how utterly important it is for a councilor to be a lap dog of those with
Meneldur: influence
Meneldur: and seeing as I am not like Pab here...
Tanda: For you to imply this Council is Corrupt
Polynikes of Yew: *raises hand*
Tanda: Grand Marshall
Kael Silverberg: *raises his hand as well*
Polynikes of Yew: Meneldur
Polynikes of Yew: yes you gave information
Polynikes of Yew: but let us not forget
Polynikes of Yew: all the faulty advice you gave
Polynikes of Yew: that I ignored
Polynikes of Yew: you have tried to maneuver me
Polynikes of Yew: and use my name
Polynikes of Yew: for your purposes
Polynikes of Yew: for example
Polynikes of Yew: when you warned me
Polynikes of Yew: of the Atalan
Polynikes of Yew: planning to attack
Polynikes of Yew: Trinsic
Polynikes of Yew: you gave the information
Tanda: *nods to Kael he will be next and last*
Polynikes of Yew: but vigorously suggested that
Polynikes of Yew: I let them take the city
Polynikes of Yew: then throw them out
Polynikes of Yew: on other occasions
Polynikes of Yew: you have suggested
Polynikes of Yew: action that would have provoked
Polynikes of Yew: international
Polynikes of Yew: and internal conflicts
Polynikes of Yew: do not
Polynikes of Yew: over value
Meneldur: *smiles*
Polynikes of Yew: how much faith
Polynikes of Yew: I place in your honesty
Polynikes of Yew: nor your intentions.
Tanda: M'lord
Kael Silverberg: *smiles and stands up*
Kael Silverberg: Thank you, Lady Chancellor.
Kael Silverberg: *looks to Meneldur, and then to Polynikes*
Kael Silverberg: I have a very simple point to make.
Kael Silverberg: I would like it to be widely known.
Kael Silverberg: That there are a large number of people, including myself, who are beginning to lose faith...
Kael Silverberg: In the High Council of Britannia.
Rand al'Thor: *folds arms*
Kael Silverberg: Over very simple reasons.
Kael Silverberg: *looks back to Meneldur*
Kael Silverberg: I personally find it very arrogant...
Meneldur: *smiles*
Kael Silverberg: That this Council would presume to ask someone to offer an apology.
Kael Silverberg: Over what surely must be a personal opinion.
Kael Silverberg: And while he is a councilor, and a representative of us.
Kael Silverberg: His opinion dicates his action as such.
Kael Silverberg: And that, should never be censored.
Kael Silverberg: I do believe that is why Mr. Dorian DeLacey revolted years ago.
Rand al'Thor: *nods to Grey*
Tanda: *rolls eyes*
Kael Silverberg: And I do believe that is why Lord Nero of Tenebrae had to ride to Trinsic in its defense.
Rand al'Thor: I am breathing...
Grey Ghostbuck: *grins*
Kael Silverberg: *looks to Tanda*
Kael Silverberg: It is no jesting matter, Mi'Lady.
Kael Silverberg: There are Britannian citizens who have different opinions...
Kael Silverberg: Opinions in contrast to those of the councilors here.
Kael Silverberg: And any that have served before.
Rand al'Thor: *looks to Grey*
Kael Silverberg: The Councilor spoke of cessation.
pabII: *nods to sleep*
Kael Silverberg: It has happened before - why can it not again?
Kael Silverberg: And if it does.
Rand al'Thor: I don't think she'll let me..
Kael Silverberg: I pray that it will be a wakening call to this council in distress.
Kael Silverberg: That is all.
Grey Ghostbuck: *looks up and smiles*
Kael Silverberg: *folds his hands neatly before him*
Tanda: M'lord al'Thor
Meneldur: *smiles*
Rand al'Thor: *looks to Lady Tanda*
Tanda: you were out when I tried
Tanda: to recognize you the last time
Rand al'Thor: Aye..I apologize..
Tanda: still wish to speak?
Rand al'Thor: Aye
Tanda: please
Kael Silverberg: *looks to Rand*
Tanda: Final comments before I sum up for adjournment
Rand al'Thor: First I would like to say I was too young when the Temple was a threat...
Rand al'Thor: I didn't fight so I hold no personal feelings to them
Grey Ghostbuck: *coughs and grins*
Rand al'Thor: The high Priest likes to remind us that the Temple is not what it was...
Rand al'Thor: Which I hope is true...
Rand al'Thor: But the name is stained with blood more then flowers I'm afraid..
Rand al'Thor: There is no such thing as a clean slate..
Kael Silverberg: *nods agreeingly*
Rand al'Thor: To atone...to cleanse that name..you have to do better then anyone else...
Rand al'Thor: Such with any mistake...
Rand al'Thor: To the world, your Temple owes them to erase the doubts from their minds...
Rand al'Thor: Is it fair? Properly not..
Rand al'Thor: But its how the world is...
Rand al'Thor: *grins to Tanda*
Rand al'Thor: Sorry for my lateness
Rand al'Thor: Past subject now.
Tanda: No trouble M'lord
Kael Silverberg: Hmm, Curious.
Tanda: As we move to adjournment
Tanda: We shall ready next meeting to address
Tanda: the removal of Immunity
Tanda: of Councilor Meneldur
Kael Silverberg: Hmm...
Tanda: and to begin the process of censureship
Tanda: Meeting adjourned
